“Since you like it so much, you should keep it. My brother is too busy to keep one, and I’m also very busy and don’t know how to keep such a small animal. It’s just right for you to keep it,” Yun Duo said with a smile.
Of course she knew that her brother had deliberately captured it to please Yan Jin, so of course she wouldn't try to steal it.
"Are you really going to let me raise it?" Yan Jin asked incredulously.
This was her favorite fluffy pet; she never imagined that one day she would have one of her own.
"Hmm," Si Yuling said calmly.
“I’ll take care of it for you,” Yun Duo replied with a smile.
Yan Jin grinned as she watched the little panda on the ground playing and munching on bamboo shoots. The little thing was just too cute.
The three of them enjoyed their meal very much. Yun Duo's eyes darted around, and she stood up, stretching lazily. "I'm so tired, I'm going to rest for a bit. Could you take my brother home later?"
"Okay." Yan Jin replied casually, not minding at all.
She and Si Yuling were friends, so there was nothing wrong with her seeing a friend off.
Only Yan Jin and Si Yuling were left in the living room.
Yan Jin had already eaten. She leaned over the table, intently watching the little panda rolling around with a bamboo shoot in its arms, occasionally taking a bite.
Si Yuling, while eating, looked at her with tender eyes as she watched the pandas; the atmosphere was quite pleasant.
After Si Yuling finished eating and put down his bowl, he didn't get up to leave. By this time, even if Yan Jin was slow to notice, she could sense that Si Yuling was different today.
So Yan Jin turned her head, temporarily forgetting about the furry creature, and looked at Si Yuling, asking, "Is there something you want to tell me? Go ahead and say it."
"..." Si Yuling was taken aback by Yan Jin's directness, then laughed.
He looked intently at Yan Jin, who was also focused on the same task, his expression becoming much more serious. He went straight to the point: "Yan Jin, do you like me?"
"..." Yan Jin was so startled by the direct question that she almost fainted. She took several deep breaths to recover.
Her heart was pounding. Looking into the man's earnest and determined eyes, Yan Jin couldn't control her heartbeat, but she couldn't say anything.
Seeing the girl opposite him who was frightened by him, Si Yuling had no intention of letting her off so easily. Since he had already spoken, he might as well speak to her completely.
Therefore, Si Yuling's gaze became even more profound: "I like you."
The four words, like fireworks, kept replaying in Yan Jin's mind, like a song on repeat.
Her heart pounded wildly. In that instant, it was as if the world had shrunk to just the two of them. Yan Jin stared blankly at the man opposite her, who was gazing at her with deep affection, her mind reeling.
Si Yuling saw that Li Dao didn't speak. No matter how calm his expression was, only he knew how nervous he was.
That feeling was even more nerve-wracking than when he first went to the battlefield. He was afraid of hearing a resolute refusal from Yan Jin's mouth, so he quickly continued, "I like you. I don't know when it started, but you can't help but be in my eyes."
I want to see you anytime, anywhere. Thinking of you makes me smile and happy. When I see you in danger, I feel nervous and want to rush in front of you. I can't help but like you.
I've thought about this seriously for a very long time, and I'm absolutely certain that you're the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. So, Yan Jin, wouldn't you like to consider me?
Yan Jin looked at the nervous yet devout man opposite her, and saw nothing but sincerity and pleading in his deep blue eyes.
