"Okay." Li Daqiang laughed heartily. "Just call me if you get busy. I'm always available to help."
"And us too, we have time too," Grandma Ye said with a smile.
“Okay.” Yan Jin didn’t stand on ceremony with them. “I’ll definitely call you when I’m too busy.”
"But shouldn't you put up some kind of protective netting for your plants? Otherwise, when they mature, animals might eat them," Li Daqiang asked worriedly. "Do you have enough star coins to buy a protective netting?"
"It's not enough yet, but I'll be live-streaming it online, and it'll be ready when the plants are fully mature."
Yan Jin had enough star coins, but she couldn't flaunt her wealth, so she couldn't speak too confidently.
“Okay, that works too. Just let me know if you need more, and I’ll help you out. This is a big deal for Yunshui Star; even the town is paying attention. We have to make sure it’s done well.” Li Daqiang nodded.
"You, you bought land to grow plants? When did this happen, and where is it located?" Aunt Ye asked blankly. They lived so close by and had never heard of it. And what were they going to grow?
"Here's what happened..." Li Daqiang recounted the recent events without Yan Jin having to say anything.
After Li Daqiang finished speaking, the Ye family members were all bewildered and inexplicably shocked. How come they hadn't had a proper chat in a while, and Jin had changed so much, doing so many astonishing things?
"You, you're so amazing." Aunt Ye truly admired this girl she had watched grow up. After all, what she was doing was completely beyond their comprehension, and she had succeeded. Such a person couldn't be envied; instead, they were admired from the bottom of their hearts.
Looking at their sincere expressions, without a trace of hypocrisy, Yan Jin realized that eyes cannot lie. Thinking back to how kind Uncle Ye and the others had been to her since childhood, Yan Jin suddenly had a bold idea.
"Uncle Ye, Brother Li, have you ever thought about buying a piece of land near the land I bought, and growing some food?"
"Huh?" The group stared wide-eyed, looking completely bewildered.
Upon seeing this, Yan Jin quickly explained, "It was just an idea of mine. You've all seen the plants I've grown; they're all edible."
Moreover, land isn't expensive right now. If you buy some now, I can give you plant seeds. You can sell what you grow. If you can't sell it, I can help you sell it. Even if you can't sell it, you can still eat it yourself. It's much cheaper than buying nutrient solution.”
Seeing the thoughtful expressions on their faces, Yan Jin immediately said, "If we grow these crops and sell them to make money, other people will know about them and want to grow them, and the land will become more expensive."
Of course, this is just a suggestion. You can consider it, and if you feel it's not suitable, you don't have to buy it. It's entirely up to you.
Upon hearing this, the group stopped eating and pondered the matter. They then went to check on the plants Yan Jin had grown in her room. After another heated discussion, Li Daqiang and Uncle Ye slammed their fists on the table and exclaimed in unison, "Buy it! Buy it tomorrow! It's worth it even if we eat it ourselves!"
Just the few kinds of vegetables that Yan Jin grows in her room taste good when eaten with meat, not to mention the rice and other plants. Just thinking about it makes them feel it's worth it.
Land is permanent, it belongs to you, and as long as the crops you grow are edible...
