Chapter 4 Food

Chapter 4 Food

The little thing seemed to understand Wen Le's words. When it heard Wen Le call it Jin Cancan, it was stunned for a moment, and then it hummed and moved around in Wen Le's arms, obviously not happy to be called such a shocking and embarrassing name.

Wen Le was tickled by its furry head and couldn't help but pat the little thing's head: "Don't move."

Sure enough, the little thing stopped moving around, and it tilted its furry little head and looked at Wen Le with a pair of wet eyes. Then it meowed twice softly with infinite grievance, hoping that Wen Le could give it a new name.

Wen Le thought this little creature was practically a spirit, surprisingly clever. Then, hearing its soft meow, he froze, still unsure: Could this be a tabby cat that looks like a tiger? He'd never heard of a tiger meowing like a cat. Even a tiger cub, no matter how childish, wouldn't meow like this, right?

Wen Le quickly opened the system to check the creature's information. The system didn't provide much information, only telling him it was from the Golden Winged Tiger tribe and named Jin Cancan. Of course, there were three question marks in parentheses after that, indicating it had a real name. As for the rest, Wen Le knew nothing. The creature's rank and other details were all followed by question marks.

I don't know if he was afraid that Wen Le would let the little thing suffer and not take good care of it, but at the end he even gave a friendly reminder: The golden winged tiger is very rare, I hope the host can treat it gently.

Wen Le was speechless. Did he really look like someone who would abuse small animals?

But he had obviously forgotten that he was just planning to kill this little thing for a snack. Apparently, the system had sensed Wen Le's thoughts, hence the friendly reminder. It seemed someone had a criminal record with the system.

Wen Le was obviously thinking about how he had almost killed the little creature just now. If the system hadn't stopped him, the atmosphere between him and the little creature would have been much worse. However, seeing the system's evaluation of the little creature, coupled with the string of question marks after its level, Wen Le's scalp suddenly tingled. Fortunately, he hadn't been reckless just now, otherwise, who knows who would have been the one to beat the other.

Since arriving at Forsaken Star, Wen Le had suffered a great deal of negligence in the short few days since his arrival. So, seeing the soft little creature in his arms, he didn't let down his guard at all. Who knew if this little creature was like the ultimate boss hidden in the game dungeon? That was why, when Wen Le saw the little creature crawling out of the sand just now, although he was tempted, he didn't rush over immediately.

But the problem arose again. How should he take care of this little thing? He couldn't just take the little thing back home openly. That would be too conspicuous. He might even lose his life because of it.

In the slums, human rights are completely lacking. Anything valuable you have to hand over must be handed over. The managers treat the people below them like slaves, as can be seen from the living conditions of those living in the slums.

There was only one word between the "commoner area" and the "slum area," but the living environment and treatment were completely different. In fact, Wen Le felt that the biggest difference was that the people there still had some human rights, while the people here were completely slaves. One mistake could cost them their lives.

In fact, it all comes down to who has the bigger fist. With his weak body now, it is difficult for him to support himself, let alone other things.

Wen Le looked down at the little thing that was rubbing its furry head against his chest and couldn't help but sigh: "You little thing, you came at the wrong time. What do you think I should do with you?"

Where to hide it is really a problem. Looking at the entire slum, there is nothing but yellow sand. The few barren hills are occupied by mutant animals of all sizes. It is impossible to find a cave to hide this little thing.

As for burying the little thing in the yellow sand, that is even more impossible. A sandstorm carrying negative energy will blow every few hours, and it will take two or three hours to stop. Even those mutant animals that are not afraid of negative energy dare not stay outside during a sandstorm, let alone such a soft little thing.

Oh, don’t think about it anymore. Things will work out when the time comes. I’d better fill my stomach quickly for now.

Wen Le examined the creature from head to toe, finding no injuries. He then placed it on the ground and squatted there, digging in the sand with his hands. The creature next to him tilted its head and looked at him for a moment, then stuck its butt out and stretched out its front paws, digging vigorously. It was obvious that the creature was much more capable than Wen Le. Despite its small size, it had dug a large hole right in front of it in no time.

Wen Le's eyes twitched as he watched from the side, thinking that this naughty kid must be a mole, otherwise how could his posture and speed of digging the hole be more professional and faster than his?

Wen Le was afraid that the little thing would be buried in the sand again, so he stopped what he was doing and stared at the little thing that was trying hard to dig the sand in the pit.

Not to mention that this little thing has a top-notch speed in digging holes. In less than half an hour, it dug a big hole that is about three or four meters deep. This depth is just enough to find the white worms.

The little thing was so lucky that food was delivered to its door. A fat white insect twisted its fat body and crawled out from the sand, scaring the little thing. After a shrill cat cry, it whooshed into Wen Le's arms.

Wen Le was so fast that he couldn't see how it jumped out of the pit.

But Wen Le didn't have time to think about this at the moment. His eyes were fixed on the fat white worms that kept coming out from the bottom of the pit. These were all his food.

Fortunately, the hole dug by the little creature was quite large. With his current size, he could easily crawl into it, and there was still room to maneuver freely at the bottom of the hole. Wen Le was immediately happy. He placed the little creature at the entrance of the hole and happily crawled into the hole to look for food.

The little creature tilted its head and looked at him for a long time before it sneezed and meowed twice. Suddenly, a soft voice appeared in Wen Le's ears, calling him up.

Wen Le was startled and his hand holding the insect stiffened for a moment. Only then did he realize that the little thing was communicating with him using its mental power.

Wen Le blinked. This strange beast could communicate with humans through its spiritual power...

This thought went through his mind for a few rounds, and suddenly Wen Le's body froze. He almost climbed out of the sand pit using both his hands and feet, staring at the little thing with such intense eyes that the little thing took several steps back in fear.

Wen Le had only one thought in his mind at this moment: I'm going to be rich this time, my luck is also starting to get incredible, I actually ran into a top-notch baby!
