Chapter 103 Almost Dead

A cunning rabbit has three burrows, but a fox is even more cunning than a rabbit, with its dens scattered throughout the forest, and these dens are interconnected in all directions, as if it were a spirit.

Yesterday I was in a rush and didn't look carefully. Fang Hua did sniff around, and lingered at another secret passage for a moment, but he didn't think much of it and ignored it.

Upon closer inspection today, I discovered three or five forks in the road, all in extremely secluded locations.

Mice love to roam, and because there are so many paths, they're always hard to catch. I never thought foxes would do the same.

Fang Rong doesn't know if other foxes are like this, but this pair is really clever.

He initially felt a little guilty, after all, he had taken over someone else's hole. But after discovering that the person had quite a few holes, he felt at ease moving in, since finding a place to stay was difficult in various ways.

Although the opening looks large enough for a person to crawl through, it's actually quite small in the primeval forest, because everything in the primeval forest, from animals to plants, is very large, except for the two of them.

In fact, most orcs are at least two meters tall, or at least one meter tall, and they are all burly and strong. Fang Hua is an exception, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to squeeze in.

The fox was indeed clever, and Fang Rong had to admire it. The place it chose had many trees and fruits, which meant there were also many rats and insects. There was a water source nearby, and the water was very clear. Every now and then, a huge black shadow would swim by, its size more than a hundred times larger than the fish outside.

Fang Rong originally planned to make a small snare to catch one or two fish, but now it seems that was wishful thinking, as the fish were too big, almost two or three meters long.

It would be very, very pungent if you killed it.

Fortunately, there were fruits nearby, so we picked a couple to fill our stomachs and cooked them to eat. It was just a pity for Fang Hua, who had to drink the soup with him.

Fang Hua still refused to stray too far from him, staying no more than a hundred meters away, and would occasionally come back to check on him. Under such circumstances, it was difficult to catch prey.

To put his mind at ease, Fang Rong would usually climb up the tree herself, since there were fewer wild animals and less danger in the trees.

Fang Hua peed next to him before happily turning around and running downstairs.

Although it was still by his side, the hunting range had expanded considerably. It could chase its prey for two or three hundred meters and then bring it back with it.

It was a spotted deer, not quite dead yet. He was biting its neck and kicking its legs, and its body kept changing. Its face was sometimes blue and sometimes white, sometimes looking like a human face, and sometimes like a deer face.

Orcs!

Fang Rong was taken aback. He had originally thought that only orcs were carnivorous, but he hadn't expected that there were herbivores as well.

However, having gained human form and thoughts, even though he turned into a deer after death, Fang Rong still found it hard to accept.

Fang Hua, on the other hand, remained calm and waited eagerly for him to roast the orc's corpse. The thought of processing the orc's corpse sounded like cannibalism, but Fang Hua endured the disgust and ignored it, running back to the cave on his own.

Fang Hua followed behind him, biting the deer, rubbing his big head against him. Blood was still on the fur around his mouth, and blood dripped from his whiskers.

"You eat it yourself, I have no appetite." It wasn't that he was being dramatic, he just couldn't accept it.

Fang Hua has no sense of race. He can kill anyone, whether human or ghost, without hesitation if he needs to. Even cannibalism is nothing to him.

In his eyes, everyone except Fang Rong was probably a beast. Oh, and let's add Li Wenyang too, since I heard he always helped him save Fang Rong.

That whole deer was bigger than a cow. He ate two of the hind legs by himself, and gave the rest to his neighbors, the two big foxes and seven or eight little foxes.

They all seemed to be fine, except for Fang Rong, who was annoyed.

Perhaps this is nature. Fang Hua is well-suited to living in nature, without any extra emotions. He eats and sleeps, and sleeps and eats again.

Someone like him is destined to die young. He refuses to eat this and touch that, and his body is so weak he's practically a coward. Well, he is a coward now.

Fang Rong nestled in the cave, relying on a small hole he had dug during the day for light. A sliver of white light shone through the darkness. He lay in bed, tidying up the animal hides he had collected some time ago.

Make Fang Hua a fur skirt or something. This guy has completely let loose lately, he doesn't wear underwear at all, and he runs around naked every day.

Thankfully, he was in beastman form. I can't even imagine if he were human. To be honest, he wouldn't dare to wander around naked. Fang Rong would slap him if he saw him, but the beastman would let it go. In the long run, this guy would be in beast form.

He probably really dislikes wearing clothes. He was forced to wear them every day in the military area, but he was still unhappy. When he got home, he was like a husky with a prolapsed anus, running around naked.

Fang Rong knew he didn't like it, so she would usually only force him to wear a pair of underwear. What kind of behavior would it be if he didn't even wear underwear?

He does have sewing kits; he prepared quite a few but never used them, and now he still has a lot left.

He, a bachelor, had done plenty of needlework and sewing, mostly sewing buttons and such. When it came to making clothes, he had absolutely no experience. Fortunately, sewing a skirt was simple: put two pieces of fabric together, tie them at the waist with a rope, and that was it.

Because it was simple, Fang Rong finished sewing it quickly. He tried it on himself and found it fit quite well, though it was a little tight, since Fang Hua was shorter than him when he was tall.

However, they are almost the same size now. At first glance, you can't tell at all. He has grown too fast, and in the last two years, he has grown so much that he is basically on par with Fang Rong.

It's like he's taken a growth-promoting drug; I estimate he'll be taller than Fang Rong in a couple of years.

At first, Fang Rong was a little dissatisfied. He measured his height every day and found that he was almost as tall as him, so he started feeding him only cabbage and not giving him any nutrition. But the boy still grew taller, so he had no choice but to give up.

This is no longer a matter of diet; it's a matter of genes. Fang Hua is always later than others in everything, including his height, but he grows rapidly as he gets older.
