However, this makes his face appear more delicate, giving him a crystalline and translucent beauty under the light.
"Fang Hua".
Fang Hua suddenly opened her eyes and looked at him through the glass.
His eyelashes were still as long as ever, and the moment he opened his eyes it looked as if two brushes had swept across them. He was still wearing a loose-fitting white coat, his chest wide open, the crisscrossing wounds on it had disappeared, replaced by various magnetic chips connected to the quantum computer, tightly attached to his chest.
Perhaps seeing the person he wanted to see, Fang Hua began to struggle. He was bound to the bed with military bandages, unable to move. Now, he suddenly exerted force, and because of the great strength, the bandages were pulled so hard that they seemed about to break at any moment. Several researchers could not hold him down.
"Don't move, I'm coming over." Fang Rong panicked. He was no longer angry with Fang Hua. In fact, if he thought about it carefully, Fang Hua wouldn't have suddenly lost control if it weren't his fault.
Fang Hua calmed down and lay back down on the lab bed. Several researchers tidied up the needle that had been bent out of shape from squeezing too hard.
Fang Rong looked to Meng Xiuyuan for help.
Meng Xiuyuan nodded. "You have one minute."
He breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving permission and, under the adjutant's guidance, went to the adjacent room to change into a full set of sterile equipment. This was mainly to prevent his hair or sweat from affecting the experiment, since even a slight difference could make a big difference.
The disinfectant in the lab smelled very strong; Fang Hua, with his keen sense of smell, must have found it very offensive.
Unfortunately, he was helpless and could only passively accept it. After all, he was tied to the bed and his joints were completely immobile. Only his wrists could move, and his fingers were reaching out to grab Fang Rong.
Fang Rong understood what he meant and quickly went over to hold his hand. He could feel Fang Hua relax in an instant, his body instinctively becoming relaxed. He looked at him with the eyes of a wronged child in need of comfort, but he hid it too well and remained unmoved on the surface.
"I'm sorry, it was my fault that day," Fang Rong apologized. "But you were also at fault."
"Hmm." Fang Hua tilted his head to look at him, a gesture that made his collarbone even more prominent, thin and seemingly fragile.
Fang Rong couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache. He reached out and touched the spot where he had hit the ashtray. "Does it still hurt?"
Every time they met, Fang Rong would ask him this question. Fang Hua was used to it. He shook his head, his expression indifferent, and said, "It doesn't hurt."
"I'm the one who brought you here, do you hate me?"
Fang Hua shook his head again, "I don't hate."
The word "hate" probably doesn't exist in his dictionary.
"Why?"
"I don't know," Fang Hua honestly admitted.
Fang Rong suddenly fell silent. Since he didn't speak, Fang Hua wouldn't speak either. An awkward silence fell over the laboratory, broken only by the sounds of researchers walking around recording data.
Meng Xiuyuan tapped on the glass to remind him that it was time.
Fang Rong panicked for a moment and instinctively let go of Fang Hua's hand, but this time Fang Hua grabbed his hand and refused to let go.
He tugged at it a few times but couldn't pull it off, so he could only sigh helplessly, "Fang Hua, you need to cooperate with their research. The sooner you finish the tests, the sooner you can come out. Then you can hold it for as long as you want, okay?"
Fang Hua seemed to be tempted. He let go of Fang Rong's hand and watched her leave with an obedient expression.
Fang Rong changed out of her sterile protective suit and came out of the lab. Meng Xiuyuan was still waiting outside. "How did it feel?"
"One minute is too short."
"There's no other way. I have to make it look like you're being threatened by me so that Fang Hua will give in."
Fang Rong looked at him in surprise.
“If threats don’t work, we’ll try the emotional appeal,” Meng Xiuyuan shrugged. “But I bet you’ll see him tomorrow.”
He beckoned his adjutant over, saying, "It's already quite late. Take him to rest first. He should come back around noon tomorrow." The last sentence was directed at Fang Rong.
"Okay." Fang Rong nodded. He was much more relaxed than before. Although he had initially trusted Meng Xiuyuan, he still felt guilty, afraid that he might have harmed Fang Hua. Now that he found Fang Hua was alright, he felt relieved.
Before leaving, he took one last look at Fang Hua. Under the light, the man was pale and weak, his skin was crystal clear, and the bluish-red veins on it were like flaws on a piece of jade, but it had a unique charm.
Fang Hua is really beautiful, the kind of beauty that's hard to tell if someone is male or female, and it's very appealing.
