Fang Rong instinctively lunged forward and pinned Fang Hua down.
Bang!
After a loud crash, the Great Sage raised the broken stones and continued to smash them down. Fang Rong only saw a black shadow flash by and closed her eyes tightly in fright.
Surprisingly, he didn't feel any pain. Instead, he felt Fang Hua's head peeking out from under him. Fang Rong carefully opened his eyes and found that they were surrounded by a honeycomb-like membrane, silvery-white, which was almost invisible unless you looked closely.
"What's this?" He curiously reached out and touched it. A wave-like pattern spread out and disappeared within the small circle. "A special ability?"
To be honest, this was the first time he had ever seen superpowers. He had seen them on TV before, and sometimes there were terrifying incidents involving the use of superpowers, but those were far removed from his own experience.
I originally thought that I would see a lot of flying figures after joining the army, but I didn't expect that everyone would hide their abilities and never use them except for important events. At most, they would just try their skills on a military 3D simulation network.
Because he lacks mental strength, he has no chance to access the military 3D simulation network. Of course, even if he did, he wouldn't be able to access it, since mental strength is required.
Fang Hua nodded beneath him, and looking at their position, his face flushed slightly.
Fang Rong's hand was still on his chest, and her other hand covered his head. The two were extremely close, almost chest to chest, their breaths mingling.
Finally, the instructor couldn't stand it anymore and walked over from the corner. "Fighting! You guys have some nerve!" he roared. "All of you, run fifty laps around the track!"
The onlookers were shocked. "We're here to break up the fight!"
"yes."
"that is."
"It's none of our business. If they want to fight, we can't stop them."
The instructor didn't care about all that; he only knew that everyone who saw it got a share, and that "say one more word and you get a hundred laps."
Everyone quickly scrambled away.
Fang Rong sat up and pulled Fang Hua along. "I can only run twenty laps out of fifty." That's his limit. "The rest is up to you."
Fang Hua nodded. He bent down to carry Fang Rong on his back. Actually, he quite liked carrying Fang Rong on his back, especially when running, their bodies were close together, which looked very intimate.
Fang Rong refused, saying, "Let's talk about it when I'm tired from running."
Fang Hua didn't insist, and the two ran side by side. The instructor disliked their affectionate behavior the most, but Fang Hua was a soldier he liked, so he turned a blind eye.
After everyone finishes running fifty laps tonight, we'll go about our business as usual; today's tasks still need to be done.
Fang Rong hadn't finished sweeping the track yet; he only had ten minutes to rest after running fifty laps before he had to continue sweeping. Fortunately, Fang Hua had been carrying him the whole time, so he wasn't tired and still had some energy left. However, Fang Hua was called away by the instructor for some reason.
They were probably going to give him secret training, which was a great opportunity. The instructors already had high hopes for him, and since he was obedient and attentive, they liked him even more. They would often teach him things that others didn't have, and sometimes they would even send him to other places for further training.
His eyes were sharp; even without Meng Xiuyuan's reminder, he could tell that Fang Hua was different. So he gave him increasingly challenging tasks. Once or twice was fine, but after a while, Fang Hua finally felt the pressure.
Sometimes when I come back, I see him naked, lying on the sofa, fast asleep, with a TV series playing on the 3D TV next to him.
At first, Fang Rong thought he liked watching the show, but later she found out that he only watched the commercials that ran every forty minutes. One of the commercials was for shampoo, in which the female lead was dancing with her long hair swinging, and she happened to be dancing the peacock dance. He patiently watched the whole show for forty minutes just to watch that commercial. It's unbelievable, his patience is admirable.
After watching each episode, he would put down the remote and go to sleep. He was completely naked, his slender body hunched over, his thin back and cervical spine protruding. A tail stretched out from between his legs, hanging on the side of the sofa. Occasionally, he would twitch or jump suddenly, as if he had been scalded by boiling water.
Fang Rong accidentally saw it once and was amused by it for a long time. Sometimes when he felt like playing a prank, he would grab its tail and tie it in a knot. Of course, the process was never smooth, and Fang Hua would always wake up looking completely bewildered.
Lately, the instructor seems to be getting more and more satisfied with him, calling him out more and more often, and doing it more and more openly. He makes everyone else go to practice morning exercises, but calls him out alone, I don't know why. Anyway, I have less and less contact with him.
Fang Rong took a rag and wiped the seats. He was assigned to clean the shooting area today, and the windows and seats were his job.
He still couldn't keep up with the pace, so he only finished most of it after everyone else had finished wiping and left.
For some reason, there was one person left today, I think his name was Liu Xingyun. He's one of the top performers in the team and usually finishes tasks first. I don't know why he was left until the end today.
"I'm sorry about what happened to Dasheng today. He's all bark and no bite." After a long silence, Liu Xingyun suddenly spoke up.
He was wiping the glasses, making sure that not a single drop of water was left on any of them.
Fang Rong looked around and saw that only the two of them were still there. Liu Xingyun must be talking to him.
"It's alright." Fang Rong smiled. "I don't mind. Besides, it was indeed me who dragged you down."
The top-performing soldier, who used to consistently rank first in average scores, has now fallen to last place because of him.
Being ranked last means losing many advantages, including benefits and even food. Previously, there was meat at every meal, but now it's just cabbage. Anyone would feel resentful about that.
"It's good that you don't care." Liu Xingyun is the nice guy in the team, and he is said to be very warm-hearted. "Actually, although Dasheng is a bit reckless, what he said is not without reason."
