"Let's go. How long are you two going to eat? You're already quite late, according to the law firm's attendance policy."
Upon hearing the voice, Jiang Yu and An Yue jumped to their feet. Oh no! They'd been so engrossed in gossip they'd forgotten the time. Looking around, they saw no one; lunchtime was long over, and everyone had gone back to work.
"Li Lu, you just got back. Have you eaten? Do you want me to pack some for you?" Jiang Yu asked, trying to make conversation.
An Yue looked at Li Ye's tired face, her heart raced, and she didn't know how to react for a moment.
Li Ye glanced down at the two of them and said slowly, "You watched me go in, how can you ask me if I've eaten or not?"
"Ah, uh, um." The two women hadn't expected Li Ye to have discovered them so early, and now they really wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into. Just now, they watched Xiao Chenyue come out full of fighting spirit, and they were even discussing what kind of drug Li Lu had given President Xiao.
"You're just going in; what if you're not going to eat?"
Jiang Yu looked at An Yue in horror. Little girl, do you even know what you're saying?

Jiang Yu's soul finally returned to its place. She noticed that Li Ye was still dragging two large boxes, so she quickly took one of the boxes from him and used the opportunity to change the subject, rescuing An Yue, whose entire body was bright red, from the charcoal grill.
Li Ye did not refuse. She was indeed very tired and had planned to go back and get some sleep to recharge before she could fight these monsters and demons. However, she had no idea that she would enter battle mode as soon as she got off the plane.

The three of them stood in the elevator lobby waiting for the elevator.

"Attorney Chen, Attorney Li just got back. Why don't we wait until we go upstairs to talk?" Jiang Yu was afraid that if Chen Chunlin continued pulling, he would hurt her lawyer, Attorney Li. Moreover, in public, a man grabbing a woman's sleeve and pretending to cry would make people think that Attorney Li had done something to Chen Chunlin.
"Oh, right, right, I'm sorry, Attorney Li, I was so excited to see you that I forgot you just got back from your long journey. Let's go upstairs and talk." He ushered the three people and their two suitcases inside, and without even stepping out of the elevator, he followed them up to the thirty-fifth floor.
When the elevator arrived, Jiang Yu pressed the button, and Li Ye and Chen Chunlin stepped out first. Yuande Law Firm had rented an entire floor, demonstrating its considerable strength. Turning right after exiting the elevator was the reception desk, brightly lit and spotless. The words "Yuande Law Firm" were engraved in large characters behind the desk. Lawyers, assistants, administrative staff, and clients came and went, the constant clatter of high heels echoing.
If you didn't know better, you'd think you'd stumbled upon the set of "The Good Wife".
As soon as Li Ye entered the door, Xiao Zhou, the receptionist, immediately called out, "Attorney Li, we have a package for you. We'll bring it to you right away."
Several young lawyers in skirt suits were chatting at the front desk when they saw Li Ye and immediately stood up straight, seemingly becoming flustered.
"Hello, Attorney Li! Hello, Attorney Li!" These girls were acting like infatuated girls, a little shy but also a little bold.
Li Ye knew what was going on as soon as she saw the unfamiliar face. Whenever a new lawyer joined the firm or a new intern arrived, the young female lawyers in the firm loved to show them Li Ye, the most charismatic female lawyer in the entire Haixi region. Jiang Yu remembered clearly that after she compiled the evidence of this person's tax evasion and gave it to Li Ye, Li Ye had her make a copy and then went straight to the man's office. Jiang Yu wasn't looking to watch the show; rather, out of concern that Attorney Li might accidentally kill the man, she quickly followed him.
The man's expression was priceless when he saw Li Ye enter; his eyes were filled with resentment, and he looked like he wanted to curse but dared not. This time, Li Ye was very civilized. After handing him the evidence, he stood aside with his arms crossed, coldly watching him.
The man's face instantly broke out in a cold sweat. He wasn't wearing a coat, and his white shirt was soaked through within minutes, clinging to his body and revealing his bulging fat. After trembling as he finished reading the stack of documents, he silently opened the door and left, barely daring to breathe. Jiang Yu never saw him at the law firm again. Not long after, she heard that he had quietly packed his bags and left.
Although it feels good to think about it now, Jiang Yu still doesn't understand how a man could have such a filthy feeling when facing a woman who is more handsome than him. What kind of weird fetish is this?
"Sister Jiang Yu, what are you thinking about? Attorney Li asked you to put your suitcase in her office." Li Ye had said it twice, but Jiang Yu was still lost in thought, so An Yue couldn't help but remind her.

Li Ye knew the girl was daydreaming again, so he shook his head. He had to arrange something for her.
"You and Attorney Gong from Attorney Chen's team, get the preliminary materials for that big project that Attorney Chen mentioned, take a look. You and An Yue can go together. Hmm, first pack your things in your suitcase."
Li Ye didn't want to waste any more time. Chen Chunsheng was a criminal lawyer whose main job was to drink with the police, so it was understandable that he didn't understand capital market business.
However, this project had absolutely nothing to do with his business. Where did he get this project from? Li Ye felt uneasy, thinking that either Chen Chunsheng had been scammed, or he was scamming her. She decided to let Jiang Yu look at the information first.
“Yes, Li Lu, we’ll go right away.”
