The ward was located in the middle of the corridor, quiet and elegant, with brand-new and modern facilities, no less than those in a private hospital. The room was spacious, with a large hospital bed, a small sofa, a coffee table, and a small bed big enough for one person, apparently prepared for the patient's family.
Most importantly, there was none of that peculiar smell of a hospital ward, giving one the illusion that they weren't sick, but rather on vacation.
Xu Wanyi stood by the bed, her gaze fixed intently on Li Ye's pale face.
