Wu Lanxi glanced at Tang Huan, then let him help her onto the boat. They then boarded a small boat and made their way closer to the large boat in the center of the lake.
Once on board, Tang Huan felt even more strongly about the ship's extravagance, fearing it must have cost a considerable amount of silver to build.
There were already many people on the ship, busy waiting. As soon as Wu Lanxi boarded the ship, someone prepared a late-night snack on the top deck.

Wu Lanxi snapped out of her daze and looked at the two bowls of wine in front of her.
Lin Wan'er looked at Tang Huan seriously. After noticing Wu Lanxi's gaze, she silently picked up one of the bowls, took a small sip, and then put it down again.
After waiting patiently for a few minutes, Lin Wan'er confirmed that she was alright and nodded to Wu Lanxi.
The empress then took the bowl of wine and brought it to her lips. She covered the lower half of her face with her long sleeve and savored it carefully.
Tang Huan witnessed the whole thing and thought helplessly, "I've done so much for you, and you're still so wary of me. It's really heartbreaking."
Just then, Wu Lanxi asked curiously, "What kind of wine is this? I don't think I've ever had it before?"
"This is Fenjiu, a specialty of Qihuai County. It will be available for sale in the capital in the next few days."
