Three days later, the time quickly passed.
The courtyard was still deserted in the early morning.
Qin Yu got up early to prepare for the poetry gathering, as she had a premonition that many things would happen today.
She couldn't explain why, but she trusted her feelings as a woman.
After spending a considerable amount of time busy in the courtyard, Qin Yu saw Li Daikui practicing boxing in the courtyard. The two exchanged a glance and nodded to each other.
"Where is the master? Why haven't we seen him yet?"
Li Daikui asked casually.
"They're probably preparing for it too..."
Qin Yu guessed that Tang Huan went to bed early last night, saying that she wanted to rest early for the poetry gathering so that she could face it in the best condition.
It's already 8 a.m., so I should be up by now.
After all, I went to bed even later last night and woke up more than an hour earlier.
After searching the courtyard for a while, Qin Yu couldn't find Tang Huan, and she couldn't help but wonder if Tang Huan hadn't woken up yet.
With this thought in mind, Qin Yu returned to the main room.
As I approached the door, I heard a soft snoring sound.
Qin Yu's face immediately darkened.
"What time is it? Why are you still sleeping!"
Qin Yu pushed the door open, strode to the bedside, and grabbed Tang Huan's ear from behind.
With a sharp pain in her ear, Tang Huan opened her eyes with a strange cry.
"What are you doing? You're not trying to kill me, are you!"
Qin Yu put his hands on his hips and glared at Tang Huan angrily, "How long have you been sleeping? Twelve hours! Why didn't you just sleep until you died?!"
He had promised to attend the poetry gathering, but he didn't seem to care about it at all; it was as if he didn't care at all.
Tang Huan scratched her messy hair. "It's still early..."
"It's getting late!" Qin Yu said with a dark face. "The lakeside poetry gathering is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., and it's already past 8 a.m. You don't have much time left."
"This is really troublesome..."
Tang Huan muttered a few complaints, then lifted the blanket with one hand, squinted, and spread her arms wide.
Qin Yu was already used to this. He took the clothes that Tang Huan had changed out of the day before and quickly began to dress her.
Because of the poetry gathering, Qin Yu was meticulous throughout, striving to ensure that Tang Huan could present herself in the best possible light.
In contrast, Tang Huan remained dazed and confused, her eyes not even fully open.
Until a handful of cold water was splashed on my face.
"Xue'e!"
Tang Huan shouted!
But when he calmed down, he realized that the person in front of him was Qin Yu.
Tang Huan scratched his forehead awkwardly, "How did you end up learning Xue'e's tricks too? It's really killing me."
Back in Qihuai County, whenever Tang Huan overslept, Xue'e would use cold water to wake him up, which left a significant psychological scar on him.
A towel was stuffed into Tang Huan's hand.
"Hurry up and wash your face and brush your teeth."
"oh."
Tang Huan still showed no sign of being in a hurry, and slowly began to wash up.
In the end, Qin Yu was too impatient and couldn't stand Tang Huan's dawdling, so he started to braid Tang Huan's hair.
Unfortunately, Tang Huan's sleeping posture wasn't very good, and no matter how many times she combed her messy hair, she couldn't make it look neat.
Unfortunately, time was running out, and there wasn't enough time to prepare, so the three of them had no choice but to leave the mansion first.
The poetry gathering was held at Qiankun Lake.
This is a huge lake located in the capital city, born from a long river that runs through the city. Every summer, countless people take boats on the lake, making it one of the most beautiful sights in the capital.
Now that autumn has arrived, although the scenery is not as beautiful as in summer, it has its own unique charm.
Not long after leaving the courtyard, Tang Huan touched her stomach. "I'm hungry. How about we go get something to eat?"
Qin Yu sighed, "There's no time. It's almost ten o'clock, and the poetry gathering is about to start. I don't know how many people are waiting for us. How can you still have time to eat?"
"Can……"
"People need food to live, you've said that a million times, but I really don't have time for you to sit down and eat properly today."
"Then, is it okay to hit **?" Tang Huan asked to confirm.
The shores of Qiankun Lake are always bustling with tourists, even on ordinary days.
People who received the news three days ago gathered here early today.
From a distance, most of them appeared to be scholars and students dressed in white.
Initially, only a few talented scholars planned to participate in the poetry gathering, but as things escalated, several academies in the capital simply gave their students a day off to attend this grand event.
This resulted in most of the students from the capital gathering at Qiankun Lake, along with lively locals, creating a sea of people.
Inside a restaurant by Qiankun Lake, in a private room on the third floor.
A middle-aged man sat by the window, stroking his beard with one hand and looking down.
"Hasn't he arrived yet?"
"My lord, Lord Tang has not yet arrived," Gao Yi said in a deep voice.
Three days ago, the adults were very interested in this poetry gathering and specially asked Gao Yi to book a private room in advance.
Gao Yi initially thought it was unnecessary, but when he came over this morning, he found that it wasn't. He even admired the master's foresight.
The restaurants that were not usually crowded were completely full today. People were climbing all over the roof beams, not just the private rooms inside.
"So many people are waiting for him, this kid has quite the airs."
Despite saying that, Wang Tianze had a smile on his face.
As far as Wang Tianze knew, he wasn't the only one who had prepared a private room in advance to watch the poetry recital; several old men from the court had also come.
What surprised Wang Tianze even more was that there were so many ordinary people who had nothing better to do than join in the fun, their numbers almost matching those of the scholars.
