Chapter 722 Blowing Out of the Arena

Fang Yuan's aggressive and arrogant strike from his superior position was forced back by Xiao Fan's single blade of light.

He sensed the fierceness and domineering power in Xiao Fan's sword intent; it was like a tiger descending from the mountain, not to be trifled with.

Fang Yuan frowned slightly and narrowed his eyes. After the first move, he dared not underestimate Xiao Fan anymore. The person in front of him was not as simple as he thought.

Those watching the game, especially those who bet on Xiao Fan to win, became excited.

"Haha, Leng Xiaofan, I knew I hadn't misjudged you. This strike has the power to split mountains and cleave peaks. In a word, it's fierce."

"Not bad, not bad. I should have bet more. You guys didn't know what they were talking about, humph."

Those who had bet on Fang Yuan were immediately unhappy.

"Tch, this is just the beginning. What's the rush? The name Mad Blade isn't just for show."

"That's right, the competition has only just begun, and it's still uncertain who will emerge victorious."

Han Qi hadn't expected Xiao Fan to be so fierce. He had never seen Xiao Fan fight before, and he became serious at this moment.

He glanced at Xiao Fan with some surprise, then turned to look at Yin Tiantian.

Yin Tiantian noticed his gaze, pouted, and gave him a look that said, "You know you were wrong now."

Han Qi snorted coldly and turned his gaze back to the arena. He admitted that he had misjudged Fang Yuan earlier, but Fang Yuan was not so easy to deal with.

Fang Yuan took a deep breath to calm his agitated mood. Naturally, he, nicknamed Mad Blade, would not back down so easily.

He exuded the aura of a peak True Immortal, his image arrogant and aloof. With a tremor of his long sword, he roared, "A raging tide rises with the sword!"

As soon as the blade was unleashed, the blade energy surged like a tidal wave, rushing madly towards Xiao Fan.

Xiao Fan remained unmoved, watching the arrogant and unruly Fang Yuan charge towards him, and then raised his hand to slash out with his sword.

Those watching were already very familiar with Xiao Fan's move; it was straightforward, simple, direct, and incredibly fierce and domineering.

boom.

Fang Yuan was forced back into the air once more, his brows furrowed and his expression becoming even more grave.

Xiao Fan felt a tremendous force, his steps faltered, and he raised his bright eyes, a fierce look appearing on them.

He stomped his foot on the ring, making a "bang" sound, and his whole body was launched out.

Instead of staying put as before, he took the initiative and attacked.

This person came looking for trouble for no reason, and he won't hold back when he starts.

Xiao Fan's eyes, sharp as a tiger's, were fixed on Fang Yuan. He shouted, "Overlord Slash!"

The originally domineering sword intent was now tinged with a chilling aura.

Xiao Fan's aura soared to the heavens, his blade flashing a long rainbow as he aimed straight at Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan was retreating when Xiao Fan suddenly launched a counterattack. In desperation, he wielded his sword with both hands and slashed fiercely.

"The Mad Blade Soars Through the Nine Heavens".

Fang Yuan's momentum surged, and Ling Tian's fighting spirit rose suddenly. The blade clashed head-on with Xiao Fan's longsword.

Bang.

Fang Yuan retreated once again, this was the third time he had retreated, he was both ashamed and angry.

Xiao Fan took a slight step back, glared in mid-air, stepped on the void, and charged straight at Fang Yuan again with another domineering slash.

The cold glint of the blade reflected on Fang Yuan's face like moonlight, pure yet icy.

Fang Yuan was overwhelmed by Xiao Fan's relentless attacks and was unwilling to retreat any further, with so many people watching.

He came to avenge Han Qi, not to be humiliated.

A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes, "Peerless Slash."

This strike was wild and unrestrained, incredibly sharp, and carried an arrogant air that could shatter everything.

Xiao Fan ignored this and continued to execute his Overlord Slash at his own pace.

Clang.

The clash between fierce and domineering, and wild and sharp, resulted in a fiery spark as the two blades met.

Fang Yuan's expression changed, and he took another step back. If this continued, he would be forced back from the arena before he was even defeated, and then he would be defeated even if he wasn't.

He wanted to adjust his position; it would be embarrassing if he were actually knocked out of the ring.

Xiao Fan didn't give him that chance. Xiao Fan's momentum was overwhelming. He didn't put away his long sword and unleashed another "Overlord Slash".

Fang Yuan stared at the approaching blade, his teeth itching with hatred. He didn't bother adjusting his position; he just wanted to take the blow first.

Bang.

As expected, Fang Yuan was forced back again. He wasn't knocked off the stage, but he crashed into the protective light shield of the stage.

This protective light shield was originally intended to isolate the aftershocks of the battle on the arena and protect the spectators, but now it has inadvertently protected Fang Yuan.

Those watching the battle exchanged bewildered glances, some staring in disbelief at the scene.

At the beginning of the battle, Fang Yuan was eager to attack, but later he was constantly suppressed by Xiao Fan.

If it weren't for the protective light shield, Fang Yuan would have been knocked out of the arena.

This doesn't look like a competition at all; Xiao Fan has been chasing Fang Yuan around and beating him the whole time.

"This is a bit different from what we expected. Mad Blade Fang Yuan seems a bit weak."

"Pah, Mad Blade, indeed! My immortal crystals! I should have bet on Leng Xiaofan instead! I hate it! Fang Yuan ruined my life."

Han Qi's expression was also not good. He noticed a gaze sweeping over him and saw that it was Yin Tiantian giving him a provocative smile. He felt extremely ashamed and angry.

He cursed Fang Yuan inwardly for being useless, unable to even deal with a brute who only knew how to use brute force, unworthy of the name "Mad Blade," and having brought shame upon him as well.

Han Qi took a deep breath to adjust his mindset. Fang Yuan hadn't lost yet, and even if he had, he could get back at him. There was no need to get angry about it.

But when he saw Yin Tiantian's smug look, he felt depressed and suffocated.

Fang Yuan on the stage was even more frustrated than Han Qi; he had never felt so stifled as he did today.

Xiao Fan's moves weren't flashy; they were just simple, unadorned strikes, one after another. Yet, even with that, he kept Xiao Fan on the defensive, giving him no chance to catch his breath.

Just as Fang Yuan was secretly lamenting his misfortune, Xiao Fan's blade struck again.

Same method, same familiar formula.
