Qin Feng trembled upon hearing the voice; it was so familiar. Wasn't that the voice of his senior sister from the Qingxuan Sect, Yin Tiantian?
He turned his head and saw a beautiful woman looking at him excitedly from a distance.
Qin Feng exclaimed in surprise, "Senior Sister, what are you doing here?"
Yin Tiantian received the reply and rushed over immediately.
"Junior brother, isn't your senior sister kind enough to come all this way to see you?"
"That's great! By the way, senior sister, what are you doing here?"
Yin Tiantian coughed lightly, and seeing that there were still several people with Qin Feng, she immediately changed the subject:
"You're not even going to introduce me to these people? And this pretty young lady, what's her relationship with you?"
Yin Tiantian's eyes lit up when she saw Leng Yuexi, and she started gossiping.
When Qin Feng saw Yin Tiantian, she was still the same as before—lively, cute, and charming, except that she was a bit talkative and would ask a whole bunch of questions.
"Senior Sister Yin, don't rush. Let me introduce you first. This is my parents, this is my father-in-law and mother-in-law, and this is my fiancée, Leng Yuexi."
Then he pointed at Yin Tiantian and said:
"This is my senior sister Yin Tiantian from Qingxuan Sect. She and my master are the ones who treat me the best in the sect."
"Sweetie greeted several elders." Then she bowed.
"Sweetie, you're too kind. We're so grateful for your care of my Qin Feng," Qin's mother said sincerely.
"Yes, yes, it's really too much trouble for Miss Yin," Qin Yi echoed.
"Of course, he's my junior brother too."
However, she turned to Qin Feng and asked, "When did you get a fiancée? I've never heard you mention her."
“We’re childhood sweethearts, we were engaged when we were little, and you never asked. How am I supposed to tell people I have a fiancée? They’d think I’m a fool.”
"Hehe, that's true. Tsk tsk, I didn't realize that. I thought you were a bit slow on the uptake, but I didn't expect you to have such a sharp eye. Not bad, not bad."
But then something occurred to her, and she asked curiously:
"I just arrived here, and it seems quite lively. Has something happened?"
When she arrived, Qin Feng had already cleaned up the battlefield, packed up the spoils, and was preparing to leave, so she didn't see him.
Leng Yuexi and the others exchanged glances, then turned their gazes toward Qin Feng.
The meaning is clear: it's up to you whether you say it or not.
Qin Feng waved his hand and said naturally, "There was a fight here before, and these people came to watch the excitement. After it ended, they dispersed."
"Oh, if only we had come earlier, we would have missed it. So, what was their skill level? Was it exciting?"
Yin Tiantian is quite the gossip; she's probably the kind of person who can't stay still.
"Some have Foundation Establishment, some have Half-Step Golden Core, so it's barely acceptable."
Apart from Yin Tiantian, everyone else looked at him strangely, with inexplicable expressions.
"Ah, Foundation Establishment, and even a half-step Golden Core! Ahhh, I actually missed it, damn it, why wasn't I faster?"
Qin Feng comforted her, saying, "It's alright, you might see it again soon."
Qin Yi slapped him on the head, and Qin Feng cried out in pain.
"Dad, what are you doing?"
"You brat, don't say such unlucky things."
Leng Yuexi looked at him with a hint of reproach. This battle had worried her quite a bit, and now he was back again.
Qin Feng scratched his head, looking a little embarrassed.
Yin Tiantian felt that their expressions and actions seemed a bit strange, but upon closer inspection, she couldn't find anything, which puzzled her. However, she remembered something else.
She said to Qin Feng, "Qin Feng, you haven't encountered any bad things since you left the sect, have you?"
A cold glint flashed in Qin Feng's eyes, which Yin Tiantian didn't notice, but Leng Yuexi, whose gaze had been fixed on Qin Feng, did, and she frowned slightly.
Qin Feng replied with a grin, "What bad thing could happen? I'm standing right here, aren't I?"
Yin Tiantian stared at him intently, but couldn't discern anything. She said with some concern:
"That's good, but you should still be careful. On the day you left, the soul lamps of Fan Erlong and Fan Bing, the two brothers from the Fan family, were extinguished."
The culprit remains elusive. Elder Wei Yong of the Enforcement Hall has been investigating, and the Fan family has been demanding an explanation from the sect.
If it weren't for the fact that your cultivation level is only at the first level of Qi Refining, I would probably have doubted you.
However, I'm afraid that if the Fan family presses too hard, Wei Yong will use him as a scapegoat.
Qin Feng's eyes flashed coldly after hearing this, and he said indifferently, "Let them be."
Leng Yuexi said anxiously, "Does mentioning someone without any evidence mean the Fan family will believe it?"
Yin Tiantian shook her head with a wry smile: "These people don't care about evidence. If they think it's you, then it's you. Whether it's true or not doesn't matter. They'd rather kill the wrong person than let the guilty go free. There's nothing we can do. Who can blame them for having more power? If Junior Brother were still in the sect, things would be fine, but now..."
Everyone understood what she meant. Now that Qin Feng was without any sect or faction and had no one to rely on, people were treating him like an easy target.
Seeing that everyone looked unhappy, Yin Tiantian comforted them, "That's not necessarily true. These are just my guesses. Maybe they've already forgotten about Junior Brother."
Listening to her words, Qin Feng understood that Yin Tiantian wouldn't have come out to tell him these things for no reason; there must be some bad signs already emerging.
However, Qin Feng was not afraid. No matter who came, he was not afraid of fighting. Even if he couldn't win, he still had powerful backers. He remained calm.
"Let's not talk about that, Senior Sister Tiantian. Do you have a mission after you came down the mountain? We're planning to go to Xilan City. Do you want to come along?"
