After a good night's rest, Qin Feng felt refreshed and decided to take a walk in the courtyard, where he saw Ling Hao practicing his sword.
It seems Ling Hao is very concerned about the upcoming Ling family internal competition, as he's up so early to practice his sword.
Ling Hao moved with graceful movements, creating dazzling sword flowers.
This skillful and visually appealing swordsmanship was actually quite good overall, but it wasn't impressive enough in Qin Feng's eyes.
However, Qin Feng did not disturb them, but simply watched quietly from the side.
Ling Hao had already noticed Qin Feng's arrival, but he didn't stop. He finished a lap of practice and was covered in sweat.
He asked Qin Feng smugly, "How about that? Pretty impressive, huh?"
Qin Feng smiled and said, "Not bad, it looks pretty good."
Hearing his response, Ling Hao was about to feel smug.
Then Qin Feng said, "It's a pity it looks good but is useless."
Ling Hao's smile froze. He stared at Qin Feng in disbelief, scrutinizing him, and asked with a hint of doubt:
"Qin Feng, is this for real? That's really harsh of you. I don't believe you. Are you really that amazing?"
Qin Feng looked at him calmly, and out of consideration for his past help, he said a few more words and gave him some pointers.
"Your swordsmanship is actually not bad, barely at the beginner level."
It's fine against ordinary people, but if you encounter someone of equal strength or with a higher cultivation level, your sword becomes useless.
Your swordsmanship focuses too much on techniques, and the sword doesn't follow your will, so it's not flexible enough, and your speed won't increase.
A sword is a weapon of killing; it's useless if it's just for show. What's the point of brandishing it all the time if someone else slashes it down?
Ling Hao never expected that his swordsmanship, which he was so confident in, would be so thoroughly defeated by Qin Feng, rendering it worthless.
He looked at Qin Feng with great suspicion, not believing it.
"You're not kidding me, are you? Do you really have that much understanding of swordsmanship?"
"I find it hard to believe. I still remember how badly you were chased by that Wind Chaser Eagle."
Qin Feng recalled that he was indeed in a very awkward situation at the time, so he didn't explain much and just proved it with facts.
Beating Ling Hao up is more effective than saying a thousand words.
He casually broke off a branch and looked at Ling Hao, "There's no point in saying more, let's try it. We'll just use sword techniques, without using spiritual power."
Could it be that Qin Feng was telling the truth? Was he really that confident?
Ling Hao looked at Qin Feng in surprise, eager to try, but then worried about Qin Feng's physical condition.
"Your injury hasn't healed yet, is that alright?"
Qin Feng smiled and said, "It's not necessary to deal with you."
Ling Hao immediately got angry upon hearing this, "Fine, fine, fine, then I'll try out the skills of this legendary swordsman."
He was about to thrust his sword at Qin Feng.
Qin Feng pointed directly at Ling Hao's shoulder as Ling Hao raised his hand.
Ling Hao cried out in pain, his sword slipping from his grasp and falling to the ground. His first thought was speed; Qin Feng's sword strike was too fast, he simply couldn't react in time.
Qin Feng seemed to be able to read his mind.
Ling Hao was both shocked and furious. "This doesn't count. I'm not ready yet. Let's do it again."
Qin Feng smiled and said, "Okay."
Ling Hao moved, this time unleashing a sword strike.
Qin Feng lightly tapped the sword with a branch, easily dodging the attack.
Ling Hao unleashed a series of slashing, thrusting, and hacking attacks with swift, flowing swordplay.
But Qin Feng handled it with ease, "So, are you ready this time?"
Ling Hao's lips twitched slightly. "Alright."
Qin Feng seized the opportunity when he attacked and retreated, and the branch touched his hand.
Ling Hao winced in pain, and his sword fell to the ground again.
Ling Hao felt it was incredibly shameful that someone who wields a sword couldn't even hold it properly.
He now knew that his proud swordsmanship was nothing in front of Qin Feng, and he looked at Qin Feng with surprise and doubt.
"That can't be right. You're not that much older than me, how come your swordsmanship is so amazing?"
Qin Feng shook his head. "This has nothing to do with age. It's about comprehension and method. You're focusing on the wrong things."
Ling Hao was puzzled. "Where did I go wrong? I think my swordsmanship is pretty good."
Qin Feng said irritably, "What you're doing isn't swordsmanship, it's sword dance. You rarely spar with others, do you?"
Ling Hao immediately retorted, "Nonsense, I practice with others every day, and they say I'm doing well."
Qin Feng shook his head. "I'm talking about real combat, not the joking around you did with the guards."
Ling Hao didn't dwell on that, his eyes shining as he looked at Qin Feng, "Then can you teach me?"
Qin Feng nodded. "Okay, but the process will be very painful. For a swordsman like you who knows a little and has your own style, it's like having to start all over again. Are you sure?"
Ling Hao patted his chest, "Absolutely no problem, but how long will this take? I can't wait too long. There's also the family competition coming up soon, and I promised my father."
Qin Feng shook his head.
"Swordsmanship is not something that can be mastered overnight. Whether you will achieve results depends on your personal comprehension and foundation, which is hard to say. You understand the principle that haste makes waste, right?"
Besides, it would be quite difficult for you to achieve good results at your current level. How did you do last time?
When this was brought up, Ling Hao hesitated for a moment, "Oh, it's alright."
Qin Feng continued, "I don't know about others, but I can tell you for sure that you are no match for Ling Mu right now."
Ling Hao was clearly very dissatisfied; he disliked Ling Mu the most.
"What makes you say that? We are all at the same level, and you haven't even seen him make a move."
Qin Feng didn't know what conflict they had, but he still voiced his opinion.
