conspiracy
Fang Huai walked on the wide and empty street, his thin back straight, but Kong Lingyu was always worried that he would fall.
Fang Huai is too thin. When the wind blows, the thin shirt sticks tightly to Fang Huai's waist, which is so thin that it seems like it can be easily held with both hands.
He wanted to rush up and hug Fang Huai, but Fang Huai's cold gaze dissuaded him. Kong Lingyu just stood there and looked at Fang Huai quietly, and waited until Fang Huai walked away before slowly following him.
He followed Fang Huai all the way into the store, and left quickly before Fang Huai noticed him looking back. When Fang Huai turned around, Kong Lingyu was no longer behind him.
The driver who was waiting by the car waited for a long time and finally saw the owner of the house come back.
Kong Lingyu, wearing a business suit, lowered his head with cold eyes, but the warm-colored flowers in his hand neutralized his gloom.
"boss?"
Kong Lingyu sat back in the car, absorbed in gazing at the flowers beside him. The bodyguard acting as driver carefully observed his boss's mood through the rearview mirror.
"Go back."
Kong Lingyu said listlessly, "Drive."
"Okay, boss."
The car slowly drove out of the street. Kong Lingyu turned his head to look out the window. When passing by the flower shop, he couldn't help but take a photo for Fang Huai:
1313: [The bouquet made by Maimai is very beautiful.]
Fang Huai sat on the swivel chair, slowly drinking the hot water in front of him. His dry throat was moistened by the warm water and finally felt much better.
He was incredibly pale, and when he first came back, Yan Xiaqing was frightened. The girl was relieved after confirming it again and again.
The mobile phone on the table kept popping up messages. Fang Huai picked up the phone and gently slid his finger across the screen. A string of messages came into view, all of which were sent by Kong Lingyu.
1313: [I will keep my promise. Please don't ignore me, okay?]
Kong Lingyu didn't get a reply for a long time. After a pause, a short message popped up.
[Okay.] Fang Huai put the cup aside, holding the phone in both hands, thinking for a moment before slowly replying.
After receiving Fang Huai's reply, Kong Lingyu continued to send out messages like "I miss you so much, I miss you so much, I miss you so much, I want to see you, I want to kiss you, I want to hug you."
Fang Huai held his forehead and looked at the pile of messages, trying to find a meaningful reply, but after scrolling through a few pages he chose to give up.
While struggling, I sent an emoticon package: [I know.jpg]
Ding-ling, a customer came in to buy flowers, Fang Huai quickly got up to greet him.
Kong Lingyu kept refreshing the chat interface, fearing that he had seen through Fang Huai's message, but he only received a kitten emoticon package. When he arrived at the company, there was no reply. A trace of disappointment flashed in his eyes, and he reached out and poked Fang Huai's kitten emoticon package.
Murmured: "I really miss you, but I can't appear in front of you."
The irritability and impatience in his heart were like the magma in a volcano, constantly surging upwards. Kong Lingyu was like a patient volcano, constantly suppressing Fang Huai's desire. The backlog of desire eventually surged up uncontrollably...
Just waiting for the right moment, the boiling magma inside will erupt.
He was almost counting the days on his fingers during this period. There were only two days left, just two days left before he could hug Fang Huai openly, cling to him, and hold him in his arms.
"Boss, we're here."
The car pulled into the underground garage. Kong Lingyu picked up his phone. The chat interface was still empty, with only his message. He held the bouquet in his arms and said emotionlessly, "Well, you go up first."
The bodyguard left obediently. Kong Lingyu sat in the car with the air pressure around him dropping to the lowest point. His eyes were cold, as if he had no interest in anything.
The pale light from the phone shone on his sharp facial features, making them look even darker and more sinister. He kept tapping the phone screen, but Fang Huai still didn't reply.
Fang Huai didn't reply to any of the messages he had just sent. Was he scared?
Kong Lingyu tilted his head and looked at the chat interface between the two, and decisively overturned this guess. Fang Huai could not be scared.
Is it because I’m too busy?
Or do you simply find him troublesome and don't want to bother with him?
The hand holding the flower tightened, "Don't you want to pay attention to me?"
So when the agreed time comes, will you still not want to pay attention to him?
Uneasy, Kong Lingyu got out of the car, his shadow distorted by the dim light. He looked at the flowers in his arms and forced himself to calm down: "Wait a little longer, there are only a few days left."
The shrill sound of the fragile cellophane barely brought Kong Lingyu back to his senses, and suddenly a small card fell out from it.
Kong Lingyu quickly caught the card and turned the exquisite card over. Inside, there was a familiar handwriting - Kong Lingyu.
There were only three simple words on the card, but the hand holding the card was shaking slightly. Kong Lingyu suddenly chuckled, and the gloom in his eyes was replaced by tenderness and surprise. He slowly closed his eyes, and his mind was full of Fang Huai's figure.
Fang Huai already knew that he was the real buyer of the flowers, so what kind of mood was he in when he packed them?
Did he sit in front of the operating table with a pen, worrying about what to write, and finally made up his mind to write the three words "Kong Lingyu" on it?
"Maimai is actually thinking about me too, right?" Kong Lingyu placed the card closest to his heart and murmured, "My Maimai."
When the company's employees saw Kong Lingyu with a smug look on his face, completely different from his previous gloomy and cold demeanor, and then saw Manager Tan with a speechless look on his face, what else could they not understand?
He must have been successful in love, as they never imagined that their moody boss could be coaxed into submission by a simple little card.
*
These days, perhaps because of Valentine's Day, the flower shop has received a lot of orders, and Fang Huai and Yan Xiaqing are very busy.
Yan Xiaqing was responsible for packaging, and he was responsible for distribution and cleaning up the generated branch waste, as well as doing miscellaneous tasks.
After finally getting a break, Fang Huai caught a glimpse of an old figure hesitating at the door of the store and reluctant to come in. He walked with a limp and a hunched back. Fang Huai looked in the direction of the man through the other customers, but couldn't see his face clearly.
The man seemed to notice that Fang Huai was looking at him, and he suddenly covered his face and blended into the crowd and disappeared.
Fang Huai was about to chase after him when Yan Xiaqing called out, "Manager, what are you looking at?"
Yan Xiaqing, with her hands free, saw Fang Huai standing there in a daze. She curiously followed his gaze but saw nothing.
Fang Huai was startled by Yan Xiaqing and turned around in surprise: "When did you appear behind me?"
Yan Xiaqing: "Just now, Manager, have you not had enough rest recently? You don't look well. Do you want to take a rest for a while?"
Fang Huai retracted his gaze, rubbed his sore wrist and said, "It's okay."
"I just saw someone. He looked very similar to Mr. Wei who ordered flowers a few days ago, but he walked so fast that he disappeared before I could see him clearly." Fang Huai said regretfully, "If it was really him, he would have been able to see the bouquet he ordered first."
Fang Huai turned around and looked at the bouquet of flowers displayed in the most prominent position in the store, and said slowly: "The flowers now are the freshest and most beautiful."
Yan Xiaqing stood on tiptoe and looked at the crowd, then said nonchalantly, "It's okay. Once we deliver the flowers to him, he'll be able to enjoy the most beautiful bouquet. Manager, the flowers will look beautiful from beginning to end."
"So, please, store manager, deliver the flowers to Mr. Wei before two o'clock."
Fang Huai looked at the time. It was still early. The flower shop was not far from the address Wei Lai left, so the delivery would take at most half an hour.
He nodded. "Okay."
Yan Xiaqing seemed to recall something and quickly added, "There are three other customers who will also have their flowers delivered to them, and the errand boy will pick up the rest. Manager, you can go deliver the flowers first, and leave the store matters to me."
Yan Xiaqing counted the delivered bouquets, while Fang Huai was responsible for moving the flowers to the car and carefully checking the address of each bouquet.
After confirming everything was correct, Fang Huai prepared to go out. "Got it. It's too hot now. Go back to the store quickly. Leave these to me."
"Okay, manager, remember to give me a five-star rating." Yan Xiaqing wiped the sweat off his forehead and waved to Fang Huai.
According to the addresses reserved by the customers, Fang Huai first delivered the goods to the nearby houses, and finally the car slowly drove into the entrance of an alley.
The alley was too narrow for the car to drive in, so Fang Huai had no choice but to park outside and walk into the alley with a large bouquet of flowers. He held the phone in one hand and the flowers in the other, carefully checking the address. "Why is no one answering?"
Fang Huai called again, but the call was hung up. He frowned, feeling very strange.
At this time in the rental house, He Jiangyun stood up and wiped the pungent-smelling powder on his body with water on a towel with a sinister smile on his face.
Hearing the sound of someone coming up the stairs, he cautiously approached the door and looked out through the peephole.
After the footsteps disappeared, he sat back down with confidence and patted the large package on the table with satisfaction. "Hahaha, you did a good job. You're worthy of the money I spent on you."
The phone kept ringing, and He Jiangyun hung up again. He sat patiently on the sofa waiting for someone to come.
About ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"Hello, is Mr. Wei Lai at home?" A clear voice sounded along with the knock on the door.
He Jiangyun's eyes rolled, he got up from the sofa, slowly pushed the large package in front of him into the room, and hid a small knife behind him.
He slowly approached the security door and asked cautiously, "Who are you?"
Fang Huai, who was standing outside, looked at the yellow-painted house number. After confirming the address was correct, he replied in a good-natured manner, "You ordered flowers from our store a few days ago. Did I leave them at the door?"
"No, bring it in!"
He Jiangyun's hoarse voice suddenly became louder. Fang Huai always felt that this voice was somewhat familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before.
Fang Huai took a step back cautiously, and saw the door being pushed open. A hunched man walked out with a smile, completely devoid of his previous sharpness. "Could you please carry me in? I sprained my back a few days ago, and the doctor told me not to use any force."
Fang Huai held the flowers and secretly glanced at the thin middle-aged man in front of him. His gray hair and pleading eyes made Fang Huai soften his heart.
He saw the simple living room with a table and said, "Okay, can I put it on the table?"
"Thank you, thank you. I'm old and useless. You're such a nice young man." He Jiangyun looked surprised and limped aside to let Fang Huai in.
"You can put it anywhere."
He Jiangyun's clenched fists were sweaty as he said, "Thank you, young man."
"Um."
Fang Huai quickly placed the flowers on the table, but as soon as he stood up, he smelled a pungent odor, followed by the sound of the door closing. Fang Huai frowned and refused the water handed to him by the old man.
The pungent smell made Fang Huai feel uncomfortable. He carefully distinguished the smell, which was a bit like sulfur but blended with the rich fragrance of flowers. He subconsciously became alert.
"The flowers have been delivered. I wish you a happy life."
Fang Huai just wanted to leave quickly now. He smiled at He Jiangyun and walked towards the door.
All I heard was a cry of pain.
He Jiangyun fell to the ground, holding his deformed right leg, foaming at the mouth. His pale face was ferocious, and his eyes looked at Fang Huai with pleading. Fang Huai gritted his teeth and stepped forward to check on He Jiangyun: "Can you hear me now?"
"Can you speak?"
Fang Huai carefully checked He Jiangyun's condition. He rolled up his trouser leg and found that there was no wound on that leg. The man who had just been begging for help raised his upper body and looked at him mockingly. Fang Huai's heart sank: "He's fallen into a trap."
Fang Huai stood up immediately. He Jiangyun showed his disgust without hiding it anymore. He viciously sprinkled a handful of white powder at Fang Huai.
Fang Huai accidentally inhaled the irritating powder, and his eyes felt burning and stinging, as if they were burned.
Fang Huai felt his limbs go weak, and he wanted to call for help but couldn't make any sound. He stumbled towards the door, but his limbs were completely out of control. As soon as he touched the door handle, he was hugged by the lame man. There was a more overbearing and stimulating smell on He Jiangyun's body. "Go to sleep."
As the smells mixed together, Fang Huai's consciousness gradually became blurred, but the pain in his eyes brought him back to consciousness.
While struggling violently, he kicked the man hard. The man seemed to be forced into a corner by Fang Huai. He strangled Fang Huai's neck and forcefully stuffed a handful of powder into Fang Huai's mouth.
Fang Huai broke free from the man's grip and tried to open the door, but found it wouldn't open. With great effort, he pinned the middle-aged man down and searched his body for the key, but still couldn't find it.
Fang Huai endured the severe pain in his eyes and fumbled to open his phone to try to call for help, but the phone in front of him kept shaking. He Jiangyun spat a mouthful of blood foam on the ground: "Stop struggling, you can't escape."
While Fang Huai was distracted, He Jiangyun suddenly jumped up and covered Fang Huai's mouth and nose with a towel. Fang Huai completely lost his strength and his consciousness began to blur.
He Jiangyun snatched his phone and quickly sent a text message using Fang Huai's phone. Then he casually threw the phone into a smelly fish tank with several dead fish floating in it. The only living goldfish in the tank was shaking its body numbly.
Startled by the phone, he hid in the dark fake grass.
"What... do you want to do?" Fang Huai couldn't control his body, his limbs were out of control. He bit his tongue hard, and the smell of rust immediately spread. The intense pain gave him a moment of clarity, but it was soon suppressed by chaos.
When he was completely lost in the chaos, he heard a faint voice: "Go to sleep. When you wake up, you will see that ungrateful little wolf."
