Scar repair

Scar repair

The thin back, with its jagged bones jutting out from beneath the once-fair skin, bore a series of uneven burn marks. The once bright red, festering wounds had long since solidified into scars, like entwined red branches across the back.

Like a strange and eye-catching pattern, it covered the entire back, winding all the way up to the slender neck, and ended there.

It's like a perfect white porcelain bottle that has been smashed to pieces. The abrupt repair fluid clumsily pieced the fragments together, making people feel pity while also arousing the desire for destruction in their hearts.

Fang Huai never wanted to face his scars, nor did he really look at his wounds.

Until now, he is unwilling to watch it again.

He did not force himself to look at the wound, but made a decision that shocked everyone - he decided to repair the scar on his back.

With current technology, it is no longer difficult to repair his wound. Fang Huai is a doctor in this field. After telling Kong Lingyu, he directly contacted a doctor with whom he had a good relationship and repaired the wound for half a year.

After several months of reconstructive surgery, the hideous scars on his back gradually faded. He sat in the familiar ward, with a nervous man outside the window.

During the final review, Kong Lingyu was even more nervous than Fang Huai. The sound of mint candies shaking in the candy jar could be heard outside.

"Okay, it won't be long before you're back to your original state." The friend in front of him looked helplessly at the figure outside the door, raised an eyebrow at Fang Huai and said jokingly: "Fang Huai, you've been having a good time recently."

Fang Huai followed his gaze and looked outside, and happened to meet the eyes of Kong Lingyu who was peeking outside the door. Kong Lingyu was holding an empty mint candy jar in his hand. Seeing Fang Huai, Kong Lingyu guiltily put the candy jar into his pocket, and after asking Fang Huai's consent, walked in.

A few days ago, he went out of town to attend an important meeting and rushed back immediately after the meeting. Originally, Fang Huai did not plan to let Kong Lingyu rush back. After all, it was just a follow-up check and he could do it alone.

But this guy rushed back overnight and didn't even have time to change his suit.

He was wearing a well-tailored suit with a dark red tie with gold thread. His facial features were sharp and aggressive. Today he was also wearing a pair of gold-framed glasses. His dark eyes stared straight at Fang Huai with a half-smile on his face, making him look showy and aggressive.

Like a poisonous snake, the sudden smell of perfume on its body made Fang Huai's friends couldn't help but complain in their hearts: It's a poisonous snake in the courtship period.

"Are you ready?"

Kong Lingyu sat next to Fang Huai. The cool scent of mint on his body made Fang Huai's confused mind much clearer.

"How many mints have you eaten?" Fang Huai frowned and whispered, "Kong Lingyu, you've been eating too much candy lately."

Kong Lingyu was stunned when he heard this, then he smiled and whispered, "Then I won't eat it anymore, okay?"

"Who cares about you?"

Fang Huai said awkwardly, smiling awkwardly at his friend, "Shall we go first?"

"Let's go." The friend waved his hand helplessly, looking very annoying.

When the two of them reached the door, the doctor suddenly called Fang Huai.

Fang Huai turned back in confusion. His friend was sitting at the table with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Although your wound has healed well, it's not suitable for strenuous exercise during this period."

"Especially... you're a doctor, so you should know this, right?"

Teng!

Fang Huai's fair face turned red in an instant, and his straight back looked a little flustered.

"I know."

He replied with feigned calmness, glancing at Kong Lingyu who was looking amused, "Then we'll be leaving first. See you later."

"Let's go."

Fang Huai suppressed the embarrassment on his face and tugged at the corner of Kong Lingyu's clothes. Kong Lingyu leaned over and whispered in his ear, "As you wish."

He took Fang Huai's hand and said, "Let's go home."

Kong Lingyu went to drive the car, and Fang Huai was standing at the hospital entrance waiting for him. Suddenly, a gray-haired and gray-faced man appeared from the corner, and when he saw Fang Huai, he immediately pounced on him.

Fang Huai reacted in time, avoided the man, took a step back, and looked at the middle-aged man in front of him vigilantly.

The middle-aged man was wearing a wrinkled shirt with a yellow collar, messy hair, and his face was full of fatigue and despair. Fang Huai looked at the man in front of him carefully for a while, his eyes full of surprise.

The middle-aged man in front of him was his former colleague, "Doctor Zhao?"

After being recognized, Zhao Delang wanted to cover his face immediately, but he seemed to realize something and immediately put his hands down, hugged Fang Huai's legs and pleaded in his tone: "Doctor Fang, please forgive me, I was really wrong, please let me go."

"Doctor Zhao, if you have anything to say, please tell me. Get up first."

Confused, Fang Huai quickly retreated. Just when he was at a loss, Kong Lingyu appeared, followed by several security guards.

The man pulled Zhao Delang away with a cold face and threw him to the security guard, "Are you okay?"

Kong Lingyu checked carefully, fearing that Fang Huai might be injured.

"I'm fine, it's just..."

Fang Huai frowned as he looked at Zhao Delang who was being held by the security guard. Kong Lingyu gave Zhao Delang an unfriendly look. The originally noisy Zhao Delang immediately quieted down, his face covered with scratches showing a timid expression. He subconsciously hid behind the security guard.

At this moment, Zhao Delang no longer had the high spirits he had before. His face was haggard, he looked much older, and his face was full of worry.

The security guard dragged Zhao Delang away. Fang Huai looked at their backs and then at Kong Lingyu, who looked a little guilty, and he immediately understood.

He turned around and got into the car, waiting quietly for Kong Lingyu to speak.

After a long while, seeing that Kong Lingyu was still silent, Fang Huai rubbed his temples and asked firmly, "What did you do?"

"I want to hear the truth."

Just as Kong Lingyu was about to speak, he heard Fang Huai say.

Kong Lingyu sighed in his heart: "I just let him reap what he sowed."

"You reap what you sow?"

Fang Huai sat in the passenger seat, folding his hands and looking straight ahead. The sunlight slanted into the car through the window, casting a soft halo on him. He raised his slender fingers and gently pressed his delicate eyebrows. He looked gentle and distant.

"Go on." Fang Huai supported himself and looked at Kong Lingyu.

Seeing that he could no longer hide the truth, Kong Lingyu simply confessed everything he had done: "I just collected evidence of his bribery and did some manipulation, and sent the evidence of his infidelity to his wife..."

At this point, Kong Lingyu's eyes were icy, and his voice was filled with frightening cruelty: "A wicked doctor who loves gambling and money, who cheated and accepted bribes, must pay the price. I only made a few moves, and didn't even try to set a trap for him, but he played himself to death."

"What a fool."

Kong Lingyu's sinister words fell into Fang Huai's ears, causing his temples to throb. Especially when the cruelty in Kong Lingyu's eyes was about to overflow, Fang Huai suddenly shouted: "Kong Lingyu!"

Fang Huai's cry was like a rope, restraining Kong Lingyu and pulling him back to reality.

"I am here."

Kong Lingyu responded to Fang Huai subconsciously. This habit seemed to have been engraved in his bones. He turned his head, the cruelty in his eyes disappeared, and he returned to his harmless look, just like a vicious wolf retracting its sharp claws in front of its lover, willingly exposing its neck and letting its lover put a rope on him.

"Maimai doesn't like it?"

Kong Lingyu asked cautiously.

Fang Huai said with a headache: "Do you know that what you want to do is illegal?"

"You want to set a circle?"

Kong Lingyu sensed the displeasure in Fang Huai's words and immediately changed the subject: "I don't want to think about it now."

"I swear I will never interfere with this guy's affairs again."

Fang Huai knew that Kong Lingyu must have his own reasons for taking action, but he did not want Kong Lingyu to do anything illegal. As for the illegal things Zhao Delang did, the hospital would naturally handle them.

"Don't do those things. From the looks of him, it seems he was fired from the hospital a long time ago. Let him handle his family affairs on his own."

"Okay." Kong Lingyu agreed immediately and looked down at Fang Huai cautiously: "Don't be angry, I will never care about him again."

Fang Huai sat up straight and hummed softly, but Kong Lingyu was still looking at him with burning eyes. He added helplessly, "I'm not angry."

"Go home."

This little episode involving Zhao Delang did not affect Fang Huai's life. He continued his normal life and occasionally heard about Cheng Shen's recent situation when chatting with him.

"Zhao Delang complained about you before, threatening to go on strike if the hospital didn't address the issue." Cheng Shen said disdainfully, "Now this guy's story has reached the hospital's upper management. His wife comes to the hospital crying and making a fuss every day, but he still refuses to leave."

"Lao Liang is suffering from the torture of this group of people."

Fang Huai was arranging flowers while listening.

"Fang Huai, you really don't plan to come back?"

Cheng Shen said uninterestedly: "Without you in the hospital, I'm almost bored to death."

"By the way, your two previous students were quite capable, but the other one...was involved in the Zhao Delang incident and was expelled from the hospital."

Fang Huai looked up, frowned, and asked, "Why?"

Cheng Shen shrugged helplessly: "Who is Zhao Delang? The patient's family members dare to do anything as long as they are paid, and even dare to prepare medicine privately. But this guy didn't take the work seriously and gave the work to that unlucky guy, who took over and caused trouble."

"The patients' families come to the hospital every day to make trouble, and with Zhao Delang's wife crying and making a fuss, our department is almost dying of noise."

"An intern with no background actually dared to secretly prescribe medicine to patients and caused problems. Even if Director Liang wanted to protect him, he was powerless."

Cheng Shen thought of the intern's previous deeds and said helplessly, "This matter is too complicated. Don't even think about intervening. The hospital has already issued a notice. Everything is their own fault."

"Fang Huai, you must respect everyone's choices and the consequences of their choices."

......

After hanging up the phone, Fang Huai sat in the living room in a daze.

Fang Huai didn't notice Kong Lingyu coming. Kong Lingyu walked over quietly, took a flower from the vase, and gently brushed it across his face.

Her long eyelashes trembled, and she looked up helplessly: "Why are you here?"

Kong Lingyu held the flowers in a showy manner, bent down and handed them to Fang Huai: "Because I think Maimai might miss me."

Ever since Fang Huai got better, he moved out of Fang Huai's house completely, but Fang Huai always felt that it didn't matter whether this guy moved out or not, he would always be hanging around in front of him.

Thinking of the conversation he had just had with Cheng Shen, Fang Huai sighed.

Before hanging up the phone, Qian Chengshen asked him: Are you going back to the hospital? Fang Huai has been thinking about this question these days. If it were his old self, he would definitely go back to the hospital without hesitation, even if it meant getting hurt. But now it's different.

His current condition is completely unsuitable for the profession of doctor.

Fang Huai organized his words in his mind and said word by word: "It just so happens that I have something I want to tell you."

"Kong Lingyu, I don't want to be a doctor anymore."
