Chapter 129 The Room Full of Lights Is Not as Good as You

Zhang Moyan simply asked, "Who are the famous people in Ruzhou's history?" The curator spoke like an expert, from Yao Chong, a famous prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, to Zhao Bingjun, the Prime Minister of Yuan Shikai, citing extensive evidence and talking to her eloquently. His narration, both profound and simple, was perfect in appealing to both the elite and the masses.

The main building of Xiao Sheng's Celadon Museum is constructed with strict geometric shapes and modern glass and limestone as the materials. According to the curator, the entire museum covers an area of approximately

square meters, with 11 exhibition halls divided by historical dynasties, a 578-seat conference center, a 2,000-square-meter teaching and research studio, a sculpture garden and a tea house.

Zhang Moyan was led by the curator into each exhibition hall. The curator personally explained the collections throughout the entire visit. Such grand treatment made her feel a little nervous.

"Why haven't I seen your General Yu?" Zhang Moyan asked as the two of them moved from the "Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties Pavilion" to the "Sui and Tang Dynasties Pavilion".

"Oh, what a coincidence! Today, President Yu came to supervise. One of our curators is actually his college roommate! This curator has to go back to Guangzhou this afternoon and strongly requested that President Yu take him to the airport. President Yu couldn't refuse the kindness and sent him to the airport."

Zhang Moyan said "Oh" meaningfully.

It is rare for old classmates to meet each other, especially classmates like Xiao Xingyu who have been away from home for many years.

After visiting three or four museums in succession, the director's phone rang several times. Zhang Moyan really felt that she was delaying his work, so she offered to take a look around by herself and let the director go and take care of something first.

The curator hesitated for a moment. "I'm so sorry to bother you! Please wait a moment while I find a guide to continue your introduction. I'll come back as soon as I'm done!"

Zhang Moyan agreed tactfully and was guided to the Song Dynasty Pavilion for a free visit.

The Song Dynasty was the heyday of celadon, and this exhibition hall is the largest and has the richest collection of all the exhibition halls.

Each piece of exquisite porcelain is placed individually in a glass cabinet, raised or lowered to different heights and rationally distributed in the space, creating different levels of perspective. The audience feels as if they are surrounded by the displayed objects.

The melon-shaped vase with a straight neck and a lipped mouth is beautiful; the celestial globe vase with a round belly and small mouth is graceful and generous; the flower-shaped plate with a lip like a flower is delicate and exquisite; the fish-ear censer with two outward-facing handles is simple and solemn...

Zhang Moyan moved around, the scenery changing. Pieces of celadon, each with its own exquisite jade-like glaze, flowed before her eyes like clear streams of green water. The pinnacle of craftsmanship of the Song Dynasty craftsmen tempted and shocked her, and caught her attention.

Walking forward, her eyes stopped on a celadon ornament the size of an incense burner.

This is a porcelain pomegranate with a bean green glaze, a short neck and sloping shoulders, a small mouth and a large belly, and a slightly downward-turned lip. It is lifelike and adorable, and appears particularly humorous and playful among the other elegant and solemn vessels.

"This type of pomegranate vase was popular during the reigns of Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. It was extremely rare during the Song Dynasty. Do you like it?"

A clear and melodious voice sounded from behind. Zhang Moyan turned around and saw Xiao Xingyu's tall and handsome figure turning from behind a transparent glass cabinet that reflected the flowing light, like a slow motion in a movie.

He stood with his shoulders straight, his back upright, and a slim-cut silver-gray suit on. He stood among the celadon collections that floated like islands, so eye-catching that he seemed as if he too was a piece of beautiful collection with a jade-like glaze.

Their eyes met, and Xiao Xingyu smiled at her suddenly. It was no exaggeration to say that all the porcelain in the room was instantly overshadowed by him!
