Chapter 137 The idea of becoming a father

Zhang Moyan quickly covered the little aunt's mouth and frowned at her.

"You little bastard!" Xiao Xingyu was about to grab the child with a look of deep disgust. Zhang Moyan raised her arms to block him. "Teacher Xiao, why don't you call home and tell them that the child has been found? Otherwise, everyone will be worriedly looking for him outside!"

Xiao Xingyu then remembered the important matter, glared at the little aunt angrily, stood up and walked away to make a phone call.

The little aunt raised her head from Zhang Moyan's arms and looked at Xiao Xingyu's back in confusion: "Why are you so angry when I call you Mom Xingyu?"

Zhang Moyan pushed the child in front of her and began to educate him earnestly: "Because you are older than Teacher Xiao, if I am older than you, then he would be too young compared to me, right?"

The little aunt looked thoughtful, rolling her eyes and muttering, "But the delivery man didn't get so angry when I called him uncle."

"That's still different." Zhang Moyan smiled bitterly. Children's thinking is really divergent. They can actually make such a comparison.

"When children grow up, they should stop calling everyone "Mom." I have the impression that only stupid tadpoles would call everyone "Mom."

The little aunt frowned and said, "I'm not a stupid tadpole!"

"Yeah!" Zhang Moyan affirmed her approvingly: "I know, Xiao Man'er is an extremely smart girl!"

"But... I miss my mom so much. Other classmates can see their moms every day when they go home, but I can't." Xiao Maner looked at Zhang Moyan hesitantly with her dark eyes. "Can I secretly call you 'Mom' without letting Xing Yu know..." She hugged Zhang Moyan's face and kissed her. "I love you!"

Zhang Moyan's heart was pounding, even more so than when she received the love letter from the school hunk.

Xiao Maner held Zhang Moyan's burning face with both hands, tilted her head to look into her eyes, and said softly, "If you don't say anything, I'll take it as your consent!"

Zhang Moyan was so aroused that her whole body felt like it was electrified. Her chest was overflowing with tenderness, unable to suppress it. "What is it that you like about me?"

“I like your hair.”

"I like your eyes."

"I like your nose."

"I like your mouth."

"I like that you don't say anything even when you're bullied."

What!

If it weren't for the last sentence, Zhang Moyan would have lost herself in the sweet "I like you".

When Xiao Xingyu came back after finishing his call, he saw her pinching Xiao Maner's face. The little devil actually looked like a well-behaved and cute pet lying on its back. He watched quietly from the side and couldn't take his eyes off her for a while.

Suddenly I had the idea of becoming a father.

He walked over quietly, squatted in front of the two who looked like mother and daughter, and touched the little ghost's stiff head: "Rest for a few minutes and then I'll carry you down the mountain."

Because his tone changed so strangely from before he left, the little aunt widened her eyes, feeling that the restoration of family affection was too sudden.

"Okay, now tell me why you came here?" Xiao Xingyu's voice was gentle and low, like a kind father.

The little aunt was the type who would give in to soft words and not to hard ones. As soon as Xiao Xingyu softened his attitude, she lowered her head, admitting her mistake: "I just wanted to see what secrets were hidden here... and then tell Mo Yan."

Zhang Moyan's back was straight, and just as she expected, she raised her eyes to meet Xiao Xingyu's questioning gaze, and she told him the whole story.

"Oh," Xiao Xingyu said meaningfully after hearing this, "So you're doing this to repay a favor!"

"Yes, yes, it's to repay a favor," the little aunt nodded frantically, adding, "Mo Yan is a good person. She's the only one who comes here to see me!"

Zhang Moyan immediately said without acknowledging the situation: "No, no, everyone is looking for you. I'm the only one here because I'm the only one who knows that you asked me if I wanted to know what's in there."

After giving the tongue-twister-like explanation, Xiao Xingyu and the little aunt looked at her quietly.

"Xingyu," the little aunt nervously pulled Xiao Xingyu's hand, "Have you told Guo Tao and the others that I'm in the forbidden area?"

Xiao Xingyu: “Not yet.”

The little aunt's eyes lit up: "Then we won't tell them! You have the key and lock the door, no one will know!"

Xiao Xingyu didn't respond immediately. After a while, he said, "No, we in the Xiao family must be upright and honest in our actions. We must take responsibility for our mistakes. Besides, you still need to find someone to fix the broken window!"

Zhang Moyan looked at Xiao Xingyu with admiration in her eyes.

"Then, am I going to be beaten?" The little aunt couldn't hold it in any longer.

Xiao Xingyu nodded regretfully, then smiled, revealing his beautiful teeth: "Don't you still have me to accompany you?"

The little aunt stopped crying mid-sentence and looked at Xiao Xingyu with her round eyes. She suddenly felt that her misery was a little better because she had someone to accompany her, and it was Xiao Xingyu, who was loved by everyone.

Xiao Xingyu bit the joint of his index finger like an advertising star, thinking: "Do you regret coming in to help Mo Yan see the secret?"

The little aunt's head fluttered for a moment, then she shook her head frantically: "No, I know what's inside now, and I can tell her what she wants to know most!"

Zhang Moyan had never expected that the child would take her casual remark so seriously, even risking her own life to answer her questions. Overwhelmed with emotion, her nose ached, she reached out and rubbed the little aunt's soft hair, "Thank you."

"That's right," Xiao Xingyu rubbed the little aunt's chin and praised: "We in the Xiao family have always been grateful and repaying kindness!" (The four words "grateful and repaying kindness" were emphasized)

Zhang Moyan's heart suddenly skipped a beat. Xiao Xingyu had clearly said this to the little aunt, so why did she have an irregular heartbeat?

"But..." The little aunt turned her gaze towards the darkness in the distance, "There's nothing good here, only that big rock with people's names on it."

Xiao Xingyu remained silent. The air suddenly fell into an unusual silence. After a long pause, he picked up his flashlight and turned to shine it towards the huge monument in the center of the room. He said slowly, "No, Xiao Maner, that's a good thing."

"Oh?" The little aunt opened her big eyes in confusion.

"Can you stand up?" Xiao Xingyu asked her.

"I'll try."

The little aunt struggled to stand up. Xiao Xingyu took a look at her and frowned, then stood up and held her in his arms.

"Give me the flashlight!"

Zhang Moyan took the flashlight from Xiao Xingyu. Xiao Xingyu held the child, and the three of them walked towards the stone tablet together.

A huge bright halo slowly spread from bottom to top, and Zhang Moyan finally saw the giant object clearly from a close distance.

It turned out to be even taller than my quick glance had suggested! Besides the three-tiered base and the over-two-meter-tall stele, it also boasted a roughly 50-centimeter-tall gray stone head, adorned with auspicious clouds and framed by two rows of solemn inscriptions.

"Together we reach the highest point, and look down upon the neighbors"

Under this stele head, on the dark bluestone body, just as the little aunt said, there were some people's names neatly engraved. Counting them, there were sixteen in total.
