Chapter 176 Not Going Home Tonight

"Mo Yan, I'm going out first, wait for me."

Xiao Xingyu, relying on his superior physical condition, moved around in the dim light. After a while, he was heard pushing open the left rear door. With a rustling sound, he got out of the car.

Zhang Moyan held her breath and watched his movements, afraid to hear even a single breath, afraid to discover where he was injured.

Fortunately, Xiao Xingyu did not make even the slightest sound like this.

When Xiao Xingyu came to open the driver's door, Zhang Moyan had already unbuckled her seat belt. Several enthusiastic people ran down the highway, scrambling to lift Zhang Moyan out from the gap between the airbag and the seat.

"It's okay, let me do it!" Xiao Xingyu half-knelt down involuntarily, grabbed Zhang Moyan's shoulder with his left hand, and put the other arm around her knees to move her out of the car.

"Check if you're injured quickly." Xiao Xingyu leaned over and wiped the blood from her nose with his sleeve.

The white fabric was stained with blood, and even then, Zhang Moyan felt a pang of pain for his Bally shirt. He, however, didn't seem to feel any pain at all.

Zhang Moyan propped herself up with her wrists, feeling a burning, dull pain all over her back, and a bit of a chokehold. With the help of a kind woman, she stood up, gave it a quick check, and replied to Xiao Xingyu in a more relaxed tone, "I'm fine. I don't seem to be hurt anywhere."

In fact, it is not really a deception. Compared with broken arms and legs, the pain in the knees, hips, back and shoulders is equivalent to no injury.

This was all thanks to Xiao Xingyu's extremely skillful braking at the last moment. The car was probably only going about 60 miles per hour when it flipped over, which definitely played a crucial role in reducing the injuries to the people in the car.

"That's good." Xiao Xingyu said relieved, but his eyes were still searching her body up and down with concern.

Both of them were fine, thank goodness.

Zhang Moyan and Xiao Xingyu sat on a rock on the slope, feeling a little exhausted. Enthusiastic people found their mobile phones, wallets and other valuables in the car and brought them to them, reminding them to call their families as soon as possible.

"Young people should be careful when driving at night. How can you drive so fast?"

"Hey guys, are you guys arguing in the car? I told you not to argue with lesbians while driving. They're too impulsive!"

Xiao Xingyu frowned and glanced at the overturned horse. He opened his phone with his left hand and dialed a number while nonchalantly saying to the enthusiastic person, "No such thing. We never quarrel. It's just that the car is old."

The crowd immediately shifted their attention.

"I didn't expect such a good car would have a problem?"

"Cars always look the same after a while."

Xiao Xingyu called the nearest Jeep 4S store and asked them to send someone to handle the relevant matters.

As soon as he hung up, Xiao Weijiang called in and asked why he hadn't arrived at the company yet. Xiao Xingyu simply said a few perfunctory words, saying that his car had broken down and he was going to get it repaired. In addition, he wouldn't be back tonight because something else happened, so he asked him not to worry about it.

"Aren't you going home tonight?" Zhang Moyan asked, covering the big bump on her forehead.

"Yeah," Xiao Xingyu winked at her, "Can we get a room?"

Zhang Moyan frowned, not finding it amusing or offensive, but instinctively sensing a hidden meaning behind his words. Then, the sounds of an ambulance and a traffic police car approached from afar. Soon, medical staff, traffic police, and personnel from the 4S shop arrived one after another.

"Comrade, please get on the ambulance as soon as possible. Even if you feel you are not injured, it is best to go to the hospital with us for a check-up." A fully equipped male emergency doctor urged Xiao Xingyu.

Xiao Xingyu quickly explained the situation to the 4S store manager, then turned and strode towards the doctor: "Sorry to have kept you waiting, please send me to the Provincial People's Hospital!"

The male doctor was stunned when he heard this: "Go to the Provincial People's Hospital?"

Zhang Moyan's nerves suddenly tensed up: "What's wrong with you?!"

Xiao Xingyu raised his right hand to the doctor and said, "I have a fracture in the proximal phalanx of my right little finger. I need immediate reduction and internal fixation. Ruzhou Hospital does not meet the treatment requirements. Please send me to the Provincial People's Hospital immediately."

The tone of response was calm, and the facts were simply stated, as if he was talking about someone else.

After saying that, he turned halfway around and faced Zhang Moyan, who had a look of horror in her eyes. His face changed into an expression like a child asking for candy: "Moyan, will you stay with me?"

Zhang Moyan sat with Xiao Xingyu in the ambulance, her eyes never leaving Xiao Xingyu's right hand, which seemed intact but was actually not. She was so heartbroken that tears fell down her face.

Most men would advise their girlfriends not to cry at this time, but Xiao Xingyu was not bound by rules. He let it go and even enjoyed the feeling of Zhang Moyan crying for him.

This situation lasted for a while, so much so that the middle-aged female nurse in the car, who had initially had eyes for him, couldn't stand it anymore: "Hey, young man, can you comfort your girlfriend? You're just standing there watching her cry like this?"

Xiao Xingyu's right hand had been fixed by the doctor, but that didn't stop him from posing handsomely with his chin supported by his intact left hand. He said happily, "I think she looks especially beautiful when she cries!"

The middle-aged female nurse rolled her eyes at the heartless man, exchanged glances with the security guard in the car who was also dissatisfied, and then turned her heads away.

Seeing this, Zhang Moyan wiped her tears with a tissue and blamed Xiao Xingyu: "Why didn't you tell me you had a broken bone? You even used that hand to lift me up just now!"

Xiao Xingyu bent his index finger slightly and wiped away a tear that hadn't been wiped away on her cheek: "I know my limits. When I hugged you, I didn't use my hands, I used my arms."
