Xiao Xingyu put his hands in his pockets and kicked off his leather boots as he strode into the office of the vice president of Huarui International Hospital.
The nurse who opened the door for him blushed, closed the door, turned around and ran back to the nurses' station like a rabbit, sobbing: "Did you see who just came in? It was Xiao Xingyu! He seems to be more handsome after not seeing him for a month! He just said 'thank you' to me. Oh my god, he looks so handsome when he smiles. I can't breathe. Ah, I'm going to die..."
In the office, Geng Jun looked up from the thick stack of books and documents on the table, and saw Xiao Xingyu walking towards him with a radiant look, as if walking on a catwalk.
"What? You're looking at me like that, as if you've seen a ghost." Xiao Xingyu kicked the chair away and sat down.
Geng Jun slowly put down the materials in his hand, glanced up at him, and said slowly: "It's not a ghost, it's an internet celebrity."
"Oh, you can joke now? It seems that the anger from yesterday has subsided." Xiao Xingyu met his gaze and looked at him: "Your face yesterday was really unbearable to look at. It seems that you were disappointed that I didn't get stabbed."
Geng Jun curled his lips out of politeness.
Xiao Xingyu leaned forward at a 45-degree angle and spoke in confusion, "Why didn't you curse yesterday? For so many years I've been looking forward to seeing you curse back!"
"Are you a slut? Get out!" Geng Jun immediately satisfied him.
"Very sexy!" Xiao Xingyu praised generously, leaning back and looking as if his kindness had been taken for granted: "Let me go? Do you know how many reporters out there envy you for having this opportunity? How many cameras and cannons did I have to dodge just to be in front of you?"
Geng Jun looked at him. This face was both arrogant and coquettish, mean and handsome, which made it difficult to get angry.
"Where's your aunt?" Geng Jun changed the subject: "Why are you coming here when she's here? Are you not going to be your mother's good boy anymore?"
"You even knew about my mother coming here. You know a lot." Xiao Xingyu stood up and looked at his computer screen. "You didn't install a surveillance camera on your computer, did you?"
Geng Jun used a pen to fiddle with his hair as he leaned in closer: "Are you hiding from the reporters?"
Xiao Xingyu slapped his hand away with a click of his tongue and sat back in his chair: "Don't ruin my hair!"
Geng Jun drew a circle around him with a pen: "You look like a peacock spreading its feathers, and with all that hairspray... do you want to be photographed, or do you want to be photographed?"
Xiao Xingyu lowered his eyes and turned around, his left foot crossed on his right knee. His splayed posture formed a sharp contrast with Geng Jun's straight back and shoulders. "Brother Yu, you've returned from a long journey to the city. Can't you dress up a bit?"
Geng Jun was silent for three seconds, then asked seriously, "Who's older between us?"
"You're older." Xiao Xingyu didn't hesitate, then added: "But you're my junior."
Geng Jun closed the document, and the word "get out" was about to come out.
"The best quality for a person is emotional stability," Xiao Xingyu remained calm, his dark peach blossom eyes twinkling as he kindly reminded, "Doctor Geng, you are a calm and reserved vice president who returned from studying abroad with honors. The entire hospital and the people are watching you, so you can't get angry easily!
Xiao Xingyu was born with excellent looks, with sharp eyebrows, bright eyes, red lips and white teeth. His face was close to his bones and he could walk freely between being a fierce handsome man and a pretty boy, and he could look just right in any role.
"Are you ashamed?" Geng Jun used his pen as a dart to stab Xiao Xingyu: "A grown man trying to act cute!"
Xiao Xingyu held the pen in his pocket and pretended to be as calm as a blank sheet of paper: "I'm not being cute."
Geng Jun turned around and picked up a book, not wanting to make eye contact with him anymore.
"Hyphotic Realities," Xiao Xingyu told him the title of the book, his tone concerned. "You're still researching this. Only you can be so persistent in studying something that's not even recognized in China."
Hearing this, Geng Jun looked up in surprise. What sin had he committed to deserve to know this person?
Xiao Xingyu added with relish, "However, I admire your perseverance. Look, although you didn't inherit your Geng family's ancestral legacy of porcelain and celadon glaze, that deep-seated spirit still shines through."
"What about you?" Geng Jun asked back unhappily. He looked at the man in front of him and felt that his cultivation was improving by the second.
"Yes, I don't have azure glaze either," Xiao Xingyu said, leaning back and rocking his chair. "So if you were a woman, we would definitely be the one to marry no one but you!"
Geng Jun was numb and pushed his glasses up. "Hasn't your mother beaten you recently? Your last name is Xiao, and mine is Geng. If we were a couple, we would be buried alive."
"Yes, a thousand years from now, when the ground is dug up, we might still be holding hands!" Xiao Xingyu smiled, revealing his beautiful white teeth. Before anyone could react, he quickly said, "Okay, okay, enough of the fuss. Seriously, let me ask you, how's your hypnosis going? Have you successfully hypnotized anyone?"
His tone returned to normal, and Geng Jun also returned to his usual gentle and polite demeanor.
"Yes, but not yet the results I'd like." He paused, then added, as if unable to resist, "I recently encountered a very good case, and I'm planning to try to get her to be my patient."
"Male or female?"
"It's a lady."
Xiao Xingyu whistled, "Why would we even bother trying? Just look at our Dean Geng, who's as handsome as Pan An, and is suitable for both young and old. Which woman wouldn't agree?"
Geng Jun took a deep breath and was about to say something serious when Xiao Xingyu said in a serious tone, "By the way, is there anything wrong with my benefactor today?"
Regarding work, Geng Jun stated as he would to all the patients' families: "All the examinations are complete, the indicators are basically within the normal range, there is no blood congestion in the brain, and he can be discharged after resting for a while."
