"Crack!!"
"Perfectly wrapped up!!!"
Zuo Li was so excited that she slapped the table and stood up, leading the applause.
Amidst a burst of applause, Li Xiaozhi remained seated, motionless.
As for what Wang Xuefeng said, no one but Xiao He could hear it.
But in that instant, the light in Xiao He's eyes was comparable to that of someone proposing to their beloved, bursting forth with unparalleled brilliance...
Li Xiaozhi recalled how her initiative had been rejected earlier, and how, in the eyes of these staff members, she was probably a joke from the very beginning. A sense of annoyance welled up in her chest.
"Young Master Li, are you leaving?" The waiter who was in charge of serving him asked politely as he stood up.
However, as soon as he finished speaking, everyone turned their attention to him.
It was only at this time that Wang Xuefeng noticed this "special" person.
He silently opened his mind's eye and discovered that his emotional fluctuations were completely opposite to everyone else's.
"Who is he?" Wang Xuefeng asked Xiao He.
"I don't know him," the latter replied.
Yang Xing had already greeted Xiao He in the group chat before filming.
He said they would go shopping in the city center together after Wang Xuefeng finished class. It would be easier if they had an identification device, so he asked Wang Xuefeng to come upstairs to find him.
Xiao He turned his head to look out the window that had just been opened, where Feilong No. 1 was floating leisurely.
"In that case, let's go too." Wang Xuefeng was in a great mood and didn't care about the stranger whose mood had inexplicably plummeted.
"Okay, let me change my clothes." Xiao He said as he jumped off the round stool, but his expression changed before he even put on his shoes.
Wang Xuefeng, who hadn't shut down his innate ability to see into the mind, immediately noticed his abnormality.
"What's wrong? Did you twist your ankle?"
"Uh..." Xiao He was speechless, silently covering his chest with his hand. He was really not used to not having a chest binder.
"Ahem..." Wang Xuefeng realized the reason for his embarrassment and immediately felt awkward as well.
Suddenly, Xiao He remembered that he had an overcoat in his backpack, so he quickly took it out and put it on.
Jinling stood in the departing crowd, watching Li Xiaozhi leave angrily, and couldn't help but feel a surge of schadenfreude.
Then he skipped over to the two of them, smiling, and asked, "Are you leaving?"
"Yes." Xiao He nodded.
"Let's go change our clothes together!"
"No, no! I'll go by myself!"
"Huh...?" Jinling's gaze toward Xiao He grew increasingly strange.
Feeling guilty under her gaze, the latter simply slipped away through the side door without a word.
Jinling put her hands on her hips, looked in the direction Li Xiaozhi had left, and then looked in the opposite direction Xiao He had left.
"What just happened?" Wang Xuefeng asked without any attempt to hide his feelings.
"Just now?" Jin Ling narrowed her eyes, then smiled, revealing two prominent apple cheeks: "That guy just now..."
...
Grocery market.
Xiao He skillfully led the way.
However, Yang Xing was the only one behind him.
The Flying Dragon 1 in the air seemed to have activated automatic following, going wherever Yang Xing went.
Inside the cabin, the three people each sat on a sofa, and the atmosphere was extremely eerie.
Wang Xuefeng leaned back quietly on the long sofa in the middle, as if taking a short nap.
Jinling and Jiabo sat on opposite sides, staring at each other for a long time without saying a word.
The former came along to hitch a ride back to the academy, while the latter had already planned to stay on the airship permanently, and so they met here by chance.
Jia Bo initially didn't want to pay any attention to Jin Ling, but instead wanted to chat with Wang Xuefeng. However, remembering how Wang Xuefeng hadn't seemed to like him much before, he worried that if he started talking to him now, he might make a fool of himself and become a laughingstock for Jin Ling.
Jinling originally wanted to gossip more for Wang Xuefeng, but when she remembered that Jia Bo had mocked her before and said that she wanted to be a third party and ruin other people's lives, she was afraid that if she spoke to Wang Xuefeng now, she would be unable to clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River.
The two waited anxiously for Yang Xing and Xiao He to come and purchase supplies, lost in these strange thoughts.
"It feels like there are far fewer things here than before," Xiao He said, looking at the somewhat empty market.
Upon hearing this, the vendor closest to him immediately launched into a long explanation: "Young lady, you have no idea!"
"Oh?" Xiao He stopped, and Yang Xing also stopped to the side.
"A huge cave has appeared in the Nanling Mountains! Inside are lots and lots of unique ores that have never been discovered before! So everyone's rushing to pan for gold!" The vendor said earnestly, gesturing wildly as he spoke, spitting as he went: "But! The key point is! So far, no one has been able to bring any ores back! Isn't that strange?"
"Where are they? Have they all come back?" Yang Xing asked.
"No, not at all!" The vendor shrugged, his eyes wide as if he'd seen a ghost.
Yang Xing pondered for a while, then immediately began to examine the map.
Feilong Nanling is a desolate mountain range about 30 kilometers south of Feilong City, with no cities or villages nearby.
"We're in a period of revival now, so who was the first to discover such a remote place?" Yang Xing asked, adjusting his glasses.
"Who...who was it again?" The vendor racked his brains, then suddenly slapped his forehead: "Oh! It's the envoy delegation from the capital of Nuojin!"
"From the capital?" Yang Xing was taken aback. According to the route on the map, it was indeed possible to travel from Nuojin to Feilong City via this route, but it was not the first choice.
"Can't the envoys from the capital use the teleportation tower?" Xiao He asked.
"They say this is an inspector," the vendor explained.
Upon hearing this, Xiao He nodded silently.
The Nuojin Patrol Mission patrols the entire Nuojin continent, not just limited to city order.
"So? Shall we go take a look?" Xiao He turned and asked Yang Xing.
The latter frowned and stroked his chin: "But this 'no one can come back' is so spiritual!"
"Where's your reconnaissance plane?" Xiao He asked, puzzled.
"It was scrapped in one go in the old city of Abe." Yang Xing shrugged: "There aren't enough materials to continue production."
"But now you're out of ammunition and supplies, aren't you?" Xiao He said helplessly.
Yang Xing used up almost all the materials in the warehouse to manufacture the first batch of fighter jets, and the factory was almost shut down.
"Sigh..." Yang Xing touched her flushed face, as if too shy to look at him: "Then...why don't you come with me..."
"Damn it." Xiao He rolled his eyes.
-
"Crunch, crunch..."
The hatch slowly opened.
The two people on the sofa breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.
"What do you mean?" Wang Xuefeng asked, surprised.
Yang Xing had spent a long time wandering around, but not a single stone had been added to the warehouse; he had clearly returned empty-handed.
"He said he was going to Nanling to see if he could dig up some free stuff." Xiao He sat down to the side, annoyed.
"Huh? You're already this poor?" Wang Xuefeng asked Yang Xing incredulously.
"Do you understand what thrift and managing a household well means? I'm telling you, you're almost married! You're really insensible!" Yang Xing retorted subtly.
