Chapter 147 A Person with a Desire

Today is the sixth day of the second week of the deep winter month, the day Jia and Zhu are happily married.

The hall is located in the southeast of Flying Dragon City and is the largest wedding hall in the city.

If no one rents it normally, the city lord will close it off, and it will only be open for one day if a new person rents it.

The huge archway was decorated with countless pink balloons, and the smiles of the two rows of welcoming ladies were like a warm breeze.

"Hello, please show me your invitation."

"Welcome! Miss Xiao, Mr. Wang, please come in!"

...

When Xiao He and Wang Xuefeng appeared before Juliet in formal attire, she burst into tears.

This was the only time Xiao He did not refuse her polite hug.

"Alright, stop crying. May you have a long and happy marriage, and enjoy good health and happiness."

Hearing the gentle blessings in her ears, Juliet cried even louder.

“From now on, you’ll be a successful businesswoman outside and a virtuous wife at home. How can you still act like a little girl?” Xiao He couldn’t help but laugh.

Juliet looked up and saw his coat soaked with tears. She quickly and apologetically let go of him.

"It's alright, it's just a regular coat," Xiao He reassured him.

“I heard from your letter that you and Jia Bo prepared a stage for us. So we dressed up formally so as not to embarrass you in front of so many people,” Xiao He explained to her.

"Losing face? How could that be?" Juliet shook her head dismissively.

"You two immortals, your very presence is a great honor for me!"

"By the way, is your injury any better?" Juliet couldn't help but worry that her movements just now might have hurt him.

"He has fully recovered." Xiao He couldn't help but smile.

Hearing this, she finally felt relieved and happily led the two of them toward the side door of the auditorium.

"Quick! Come with me! Let's see if we need anything else..."

[Yang Xing: Beep beep beep, your order has been delivered~]

[Xiao He: You've worked hard!]

[Yang Xing: Ready to begin?]

[Xiao He: It will probably be a while, but you can come now.]

Yang Xing: OK, OK!

"A drum?" Wang Xuefeng asked from the side.

Because Xiao He had mentioned the "program" last night, he even made him practice it several times.

"Okay." Xiao He nodded: "Then I'll leave it to you today."

"Don't worry! The King of Singers is here!" Wang Xuefeng patted his chest.

Xiao He was truly at ease, not worried that he wouldn't be able to control the situation even though the two of them had never rehearsed together.

On the semi-circular platform, Juliet greeted the two and then went to the dressing room, leaving Jia Bo, who was already prepared, behind.

"Good lad, you've gotten confident, huh?" Xiao He couldn't help but look at him with newfound respect.

Jia Bo coughed "modestly," but his face was beaming with undisguised joy.

"Does her second brother's situation affect you?"

"It won't have a big impact; her older brother will support her."

"So it seems you've decided to join our Beihu District family from now on?" Xiao He raised an eyebrow.

"That's right! Haha, please take care of me!" Jia Bo said with a cupped hand and a smile.

Wang Xuefeng, standing to the side, clicked his tongue and said, "Why don't you become my second master too? I'll teach you how to shoot?"

"That's exactly what I wanted!" Jia Bo laughed heartily.

Xiao He shook his head, feigning helplessness: "Unfortunately, I'm not interested in you. If you two have a son, how about I teach him to drive?"

"It's a deal! Even my daughter, I'll make her learn from you!" Jia Bo patted his chest confidently and made his promise.

"It's not very elegant for my daughter to drive so fast..." Xiao He politely declined.

"No, no, no! My daughter can drive elegantly too..."

-

Night fell.

A salute was fired.

The luxurious auditorium appeared warm and pinkish-white under the lights.

Wearing a light gold suit and holding a diamond ring, Jia Bo walked step by step toward the bride in the hall.

With a light veil covering her head, Juliet watched the figure slowly approaching and felt as if she were in another world.

"Clang clang..."

The sound of plucked strings gently rose from the highest viewing platform in the auditorium.

As the warm prelude played, Jia Bo stood before Juliet.

The two looked at each other in silence, and then smiled simultaneously.

On the high platform, Wang Xuefeng stood under the dim light, playing the guitar, a gratified smile on his lips.

Beside him was a drum set, and Xiao He held the drumsticks, nodding slightly as he silently counted the beats.

"He will be your groom, and from now on he will be your life partner."

"Everything about him will be closely connected to you; you'll share both good and bad fortune..."

Juliet looked at Jia Bo, who was kneeling on one knee, and slowly raised her left hand.

The sparkling diamond ring was gently placed on Jia Bo's ring finger.

"She will be your bride; she is someone else who has entrusted her heart to you."

"You must take care of her with double the care and attention of your entire life, sharing both her joys and sorrows..."

The guests watched silently as the bride helped the groom up, their fingers intertwined, and they walked toward the statue of Cupid in the center of the hall.

"It must be a special kind of fate that brought us together as a family..."

Standing before the statue of Cupid, Jia Bo gently lifted the veil and embraced his bride, whose eyes were moist with tears.

Applause gradually rose from the guest seats.

But it was done softly and quietly, as if afraid of disturbing the newlyweds embracing.

"From now on, I am no longer alone..." Xiao He hummed softly, looking at the two figures below the stage, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

From their initial antagonism to their current happy marriage, the story cannot be explained by the word "fate."

They were both clearly well-intentioned people.
