Luoshui Village.
The villagers, who had been making a fuss earlier, went about their own business as if nothing had happened.
Tyr carried a basin of clothes that needed washing and squatted down by the stream at the end of the village.
Here, her name is "Tiya," and she is just an ordinary farm woman. She likes to marry and have children under the guise of an ordinary person, and then live a simple and ordinary life.
The calm river reflected her ordinary face, with the marks of time visible around her eyes and temples.
The hands that were being washed in the water were also those of a peasant woman, as if they were the hands of a woman born and raised in Luoshui Village. No one could ever discover her extraordinary nature.
If she hadn't deliberately lured Xiao He there, he wouldn't have noticed her even if he had just passed by.
People who have lived for countless years like this usually have no pursuits and may even seal away some meaningless memories to avoid worrying themselves in the quiet of the night.
When a master's disguise reaches its ultimate form, it is a return to simplicity.
Xiao He understood her feelings and concerns, so he didn't bring Patika directly, but instead greeted her through the Water God Crystal.
Tyr's movements as she washed clothes were incredibly practiced and seamless, but the other women around her couldn't see her graceful figure disappear along the water's surface into the distance...
"Is the Water God really here?" Patika followed Xiao He, looking around at the barren land with doubt.
This place is quite a distance from Luoshui Village, and happens to be outside the area protected by the water god totem.
"I just ran into him around here, so this must be the place." Xiao He touched his nose sheepishly.
Patika walked around, glancing around, and nodded with a hint of disbelief.
"Whoosh—whoosh—"
The river beside it was flat and unremarkable, with many schools of fish and shrimp swimming by.
It had just rained, and the riverbank was a bit muddy. Xiao He spread out a colorful "carpet" as he walked.
Wherever you go, you'll find birds singing and flowers blooming...
Patika glanced sideways frequently. She didn't understand the realm of gods, but the feeling of walking beside Xiao He was indeed very strange.
She never doubted Xiao He's identity, at least not that he was not human.
Even if you're completely confused at this moment, you can still believe it's just a misperception caused by nervousness.
"Why are you walking so slowly?" Xiao He finally couldn't help but turn around.
“I…” Patika rubbed her fingers together, looking clearly uneasy, “I’m a little scared…”
"What are you afraid of?" Xiao He asked, puzzled. "They're not going to eat you, are they?"
“I…” Patika simply stopped where she was and refused to move.
Just as Tyr's figure materialized not far from the two, Patika suddenly turned her back, like an ostrich lost in its own world.
Xiao He felt a chill run down his spine and wished he could drag Wang Xuefeng, who was far away, over to ask her what she was thinking.
"You haven't seemed very happy these past few days?" Xiao He could only ask casually.
Patika shook her head, deep in thought, and simply sat down on the lawn that Xiao He had laid out, staring blankly at the river.
I watched the schools of fish and shrimp until I saw a lone little fish swimming to the shore as if it were lost, and then wandering aimlessly in the shallow puddle.
“You know what… I’m like this fish…” Patika muttered, hugging her knees.
Upon hearing this, Xiao He became even more confused.
Left with no other choice, she sat down as well.
Because she knew Tyr was right behind her, there was no need to rush forward to find him.
"Why do you look like a fish? And what does this have to do with you looking for Tyr?" Xiao He asked directly as soon as he sat down.
“I’ve met a lot of people these past few days…they’re very different from the pilgrims…”
"What's different?" Xiao He asked, puzzled.
"Different ideas...different attitudes..."
"Isn't this normal?" Xiao He shrugged. "Everyone is different!"
Patika buried her face between her knees, curling up into a ball with her arms wrapped around her calves.
"But they all dislike me..."
"Huh?" Xiao He was taken aback.
She remembered the squad Patika was in during her mission.
It's an all-female team, comprised entirely of outstanding girls.
"Has no one spoken to you?" Xiao He guessed.
Patika shook her head.
"It existed at the beginning."
"And then what?"
"Later, gradually no one paid any attention to me anymore..."
"this?"
Xiao He looked at her pitiful appearance, which didn't seem exaggerated or fake.
But based on just a few words, it's impossible to guess what she's been through over the past few days.
“I heard them say I have a bad temper… but I’ve never yelled at them…”
"They also said I don't like to share snacks..."
"But they won't say anything, how am I supposed to know they also like canned fish..."
"Unlike those pilgrims, who directly state what they want and what they ask for..."
"Besides, I don't understand what they're talking about, so how can you blame me..."
Xiao He listened silently to her grumbling, while Tyr, not far away, was somewhat stunned.
Because the situation that Patika encountered was exactly the same as when she first entered human life.
Don't let her down-to-earth appearance fool you; she was once an ethereal fairy, untouched by worldly concerns...
Tyr listened and laughed, but she still didn't make a sound.
Three people, three completely different thoughts.
Once Patika started talking, she couldn't stop.
