Chapter 62 Young Master Jia Bo

"Bang!"

Jinling opened the door and got out of the car, ignoring the stares of the other passengers.

The car was a slightly tall convertible, and Xiao He then noticed that besides the driver, there was also a young man who looked like a rich second-generation heir.

Jinling's actions clearly displeased the young master.

Xiao He silently watched her walk up to him, dusted off his hands, stood up, and looked her in the eye.

"What are you doing here?" Jinling looked at him unfriendly.

Jin Ling is not tall, but her makeup and hairstyle are exquisite. Even though she is not in a good mental state, she still gives ordinary people a feeling that she is unapproachable.

“I was just passing by and thought this was a salt field,” Xiao He replied.

Upon hearing this, the rich second-generation young master in the car suddenly smiled, his cold face breaking into a smug grin as he looked at Jinling's retreating figure, his gaze like that of a victor sympathizing with a loser.

Sure enough, upon hearing the man's laughter, Jinling glared angrily at Xiao He.

But no matter how angry she was, it was no use; what Xiao He said was indeed true.

A thin layer of crystals covered the ground, its purpose unknown. Perhaps it was a soil treatment agent, or perhaps it was to cover up the unsightly gray soil. In any case, from a distance, it looked like a salt field.

"It might be okay for taking wedding photos, but it's not really suitable for living in," Xiao He commented seriously.

"Did you just wake up and come here to laugh at me?" Jinling asked bluntly.

"No, that's not it. The Jia family in the south of the city dug up the place where we used to eat, so I had no choice but to keep going this way." Xiao He looked helpless, and it was hard to tell that he was faking it.

"Heh, then ask him to treat you to dinner!" Jinling said, pointing to the man in the car.

Xiao He followed her gaze and met the man's interested eyes.

"It's an honor! I love what this beautiful classmate said. It's okay to invite one more person, so please get in the car."

The rich second-generation son seemed to be in a good mood. He put on sunglasses, waved, and the driver opened the passenger door.

Xiao He looked at Jin Ling with some surprise: "I thought this car was yours."

Jinling's chest visibly bulged, but knowing that saying anything would only make her more embarrassed, she simply turned around and went back to the car without saying a word.

Xiao He, of course, would not let any opportunity pass him by, and took the opportunity to get into the passenger seat with the car door open.

Since someone was treating him to a meal, he was happy to follow along and inquire about some information.

-

Hudong Back Street.

It seemed that all the shopkeepers here recognized the two people in the car, and they were eager to greet them, as if they had seen a god of wealth.

Juliet, the apple of the eye of the Zhu Group's CEO.

Jia Bo is the sole heir to the Jia Group.

Both are prominent figures individually, but when placed together, the difference in their status becomes self-evident.

The journey wasn't long, and the luxury car was traveling quickly, so the trip took very little time. Even so, Xiao He still overheard the two people in the back seat saying "the important point."

Jia Bo is using this incident to force Juliet, who doesn't like him, into marriage.

Although it's just an engagement, once it's finalized, neither family will dare to cancel the engagement despite the rumors.

It seems that both family heads were interested, so they tacitly agreed not to interfere in the "business competition" between the two.

In the Zhu family's view, even if Zhu Liling really didn't have this business acumen, marrying into the Jia family would ensure her a worry-free life for the rest of her days.

However, for some unknown reason, Juliet resolutely refused to accept Jia Bo, the only son of the Jia family.

Sitting in front, Xiao He listened intently, his eyes darting around as he pondered the situation.

The vehicle slowed down and turned into the parking spot.

Jia Bo got out of the car first, gentlemanly opened the passenger door, and made a "please" gesture.

Xiao He, who had just unbuckled his seatbelt, was stunned.

"Please go first, beautiful lady." Jia Bo smiled slightly, ignoring Juliet's gaze.

Xiao He couldn't figure out what they were up to, but he couldn't neglect the basic etiquette.

"Thank you, Young Master Jia."

Jia Bo's smile widened, and he even reached out to help Xiao He out of the carriage without any hesitation.

The crowd nearby whispered amongst themselves. They were unaware that Jia Bo was pursuing Juliet; now it seemed more like he was pursuing her…

Does this person look familiar?

The group looked at each other in bewilderment.

"Xiao..."

"Xiao He?!"

Many people were startled and immediately knelt down.

"Thank you so much, hero, for saving my life!"

Before Xiao He could react to Jia Bo's actions, he was startled by the group of residents.

"Uh, everyone, don't mind her, get up, get up..."

Xiao He felt unworthy of the thanks, since he hadn't done it. However, it didn't seem wrong for them to thank "Xiao He".

Jia Bo, who was standing to the side, took off his sunglasses and carefully examined Xiao He. He then realized that Xiao He was indeed the same as in the photo, except that his temperament had changed quite a bit after waking up, and it was easy to miss if you weren't paying attention.

These ordinary people had a deep memory of "her" features because Xiao He saved their lives.

If it weren't for that lotus flower that day, Flying Dragon City wouldn't have become the only city in all of Nokin with "zero deaths".

Even after the three entered a high-end restaurant, the entrance was still packed with people.

"So the beauty is the famous Xiao He..." Jia Bo walked side by side with Xiao He, leaving Jin Ling behind alone.

"Heh." The latter rolled her eyes dismissively. She'd seen countless examples of this "playing hard to get" tactic. If Jia Bo really gave up on bothering her because of Xiao He, she'd be more than happy!

However, Xiao He and Jia Bo are schoolmates and both girls, so shouldn't they be walking together? Why did Xiao He instinctively walk with Jia Bo instead? And the speed at which she was walking made Jia Bo feel quite embarrassed as she chased after her in high heels.
