"Ah, I think I heard Xiao He's voice in my dream?"
Horry was dragged out of the wine pool by Dai Lele, drool still dripping from the corner of his mouth.
"You two are so unreliable!" Dai Lele stared ahead with a look of utter despair.
Horry was being dragged along behind her, and it took him a while to remember what their goal was today. He suddenly snapped to attention: "Where's that scheming bitch?!"
"He was taken away by Xiao He."
"Oh." Horry instinctively breathed a sigh of relief, then shuddered and jumped back as if he'd been electrocuted: "What?!"
Dai Lele didn't even turn her head, just tossed him a photo.
In the photo, he was sleeping like a dead pig, or rather, a dead pig soaking in boiling water, oblivious to everything around him, while Xiao He stood between him and Su Mei.
"This?" Horry asked, bewildered. "How did he know we were here? Weren't we hiding our coordinates?"
"Xiao Xing asked him to buy materials, and he was passing by."
Horry was a little embarrassed: "This is too much of a coincidence... If he saw me like this, I would be so embarrassed..."
"Doesn't he know enough embarrassing things about you?" Dai Lele glanced at him irritably.
"Uh, uh, where's Brother Feng?" Huo Lei quickly changed the subject.
"He went to buy materials for Xiao He."
"Oh, so it's his turn to buy it? Where's Xiao He?"
"They said they had some things to take care of first, and would see you in Beihu District later."
"Oh, where do we go now?"
"Rent a car."
"receive!"
-
Inside the Flying Dragon 1 cabin.
Yang Xing is making revisions to the design drawings.
Xiao He leaned back on the sofa behind him, acting as if nothing had happened.
On the coffee table in front of him were many small models made by Yang Xing, which looked like exquisite works of art and were very cool.
Among a dazzling array of small ornaments, a pair of tiny airplane wings stood out prominently.
Xiao He carefully picked it up and asked, "These wings, is this what you made?"
"Hmm." Yang Xing was drawing meticulously, but he didn't forget Xiao He beside him. Hearing this, he turned around and handed him the drawing he had just finished revising: "What do you think of these specifications?"
"Customized?" Xiao He turned his head and took the blueprints to look at them.
“It’s custom-made for now. I plan to make one for Lele to try first.” Yang Xing explained while twirling his pen: “You and Lei Zi both have mounts, you can fly, and Xuefeng is a good-for-nothing, so we don’t need to worry about him for now. So I plan to make one for Lele first.”
"Oh, now all that's missing is the materials Xuefeng bought?" Xiao He asked.
“Yes, we’re still missing these few components, and most importantly, the power unit.” Yang Xing pointed to the parts marked with red lines on the design drawing.
"And the energy consumption?"
"For now, it's still magic stones, but I'm researching an elemental energy converter. It's not quite working yet because it requires too much power and is difficult to use continuously."
"A converter?" Xiao He thought for a moment. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Yang Xing shook his head slightly: "For now, it's my own problem. I don't have enough skill points. Once I set up a project to get the workshop running, I'll be able to earn more skill points."
"So that's how it is." After hearing his explanation, Xiao He understood his upgrade process.
The site is ready, and workers can be recruited. As for what project to finalize, that's something Yang Xing and Jia Bo will discuss.
"Do you like any of these little trinkets? You can pre-order one, and I'll make it for you next time," Yang Xing said with a smile.
Xiao He returned the blueprints to him and turned to the messy desktop.
"Great! Let's go with this aircraft carrier!" Xiao He's eyes lit up.
"Okay!" Yang Xing slapped his thigh, stood up, walked around to the coffee table, and pointed to the aircraft carrier model and the small motorcycle next to it.
"Speeding across the world, Dayun Motorcycle, that's it!"
"Get lost." Xiao He rolled his eyes, lay back on the sofa, and made room for him on the right.
"How about the coal-hauling train?" Yang Xing asked again, sitting down next to him.
“Noking was alright before the mutation, but now it's probably not even safe to build roads,” Xiao He said directly.
“Without building roads, air transport costs are too high, and it’s not necessarily safe in the air.” Yang Xing rubbed his temples and leaned against the armrest of the sofa, mimicking Yang Xing’s posture. “Nuojin has abundant resources, but mining and transportation are troublesome.”
Xiao He glanced at him: "So it's still a safety issue?"
“That’s right.” Yang Xing did not deny it: “The proportion of ordinary people on the Nuojin Continent is very high. Only one in a hundred people is an elementalist, and among elementalists, the higher the level, the fewer there are. Look at all the academies, big and small. As long as you are a high-level elementalist, you can become a teacher. This shows how rare high-level elementalists are.”
"There's nothing we can do about it. Nuojin has been at peace for a long time. As people's quality of life improves, their average individual combat strength naturally declines," Xiao He said with some helplessness.
“Yes, that’s very troublesome. I’ve been putting all my skill points into the energy consumption skill, hoping to find an artificial energy source to replace magic stones.” Yang Xing sighed, a hint of confusion in his eyes: “Now I think it was a bit of a pipe dream.”
"Why?" Xiao He didn't understand. "Magic stones condense naturally and are a type of concentrated solid energy. If we can find a way to artificially concentrate magic power, then it would be considered artificial energy, right?"
"Hmm... I've tried many times. Artificially concentrated magic is easy to lose or explode... To be precise, its form is unstable, and the requirements for the container are too high if you want to make it like a battery." Yang Xing covered his forehead. Every day, his mind was filled with only the word "materials," which was driving him crazy.
Xiao He looked at the battery structure diagrams on the table, all marked with crosses. They were all temporarily abandoned because of the lack of materials marked with red lines.
