Chapter 71 Chapter 71 Getting Pregnant

Chapter 71 Chapter 71 Getting Pregnant

On the edge of Beijing, there is a dilapidated scene that is incompatible with the prosperous city.

The walls were mottled and peeling, revealing the dark red bricks inside. The corridor was filled with debris and was filled with a foul smell of dampness, mildew and cheap tobacco.

Xueying walked up the shaky stairs in high heels, carefully avoiding the unknown stains on the ground.

With every step she climbed, the disgust and indifference on her face deepened.

I took out the key and opened the door, whose paint had peeled off, revealing the original color of the wood. A stronger stench of cigarettes and alcohol and a feeling of desperate oppression hit me in the face.

The cramped living room was dimly lit, and the window glass was so dirty that it almost let no light in.

A middle-aged man with a wretched appearance and puffy eye bags was sitting on a creaky, worn sofa with his legs crossed, picking his feet while watching an old TV with flickering snowflakes on the screen.

Wine bottles and peanut shells were scattered on the ground.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Xue Yong's cloudy eyes immediately lit up with greed. He turned his head like a hyena smelling meat: "Hey! My good daughter is back? Where's the money?"

Xueying didn't say anything, her eyes swept towards the corner.

Her mother, a woman with gray hair, wrinkles on her face, and a numb and timid look in her eyes, was curled up on a small stool, with obvious purple bruises on her arms, both new and old.

Seeing her daughter come back, the woman just raised her eyelids and moved her lips, but dared not say anything. She quickly lowered her head and shrank herself even smaller.

A surge of rage suddenly rushed to Xueying's head, but she bit her back teeth tightly and suppressed the hatred that was about to burst out.

She's used to it.

Anger cannot change anything. It will only drag yourself down into this quagmire.

Xue Ying took out a thick envelope from her expensive leather bag and threw it directly on the broken coffee table in front of him without waiting for Xue Yong to grab it, making a dull sound.

Xue Yong couldn't wait to grab the envelope, counted the bills quickly with saliva, and a satisfied and twisted smile appeared on his face.

After counting, he stuffed the money into his trouser pocket with satisfaction, then raised his head and looked Xue Ying up and down with his cloudy eyes.

The daughter had obviously dressed up deliberately, wearing a fine dress and delicate makeup. She looked out of place in this dilapidated environment, like a luxury item that had accidentally ended up in a garbage dump.

Xue Yong grinned, revealing a row of yellow teeth, and suddenly reached out his hand and patted Xue Ying's smooth and delicate cheek with his rough and dirty palm with a disgusting intimacy.

"Tsk, you are worthy of being my child, you have such a thick skin."

His laughter was hoarse and obscene. "You're really Dad's cash cow... You made so much money so quickly this time? Haha..."

Xue Yong came closer, reeking of alcohol, and lowered his voice, his tone filled with malicious speculation and ridicule: "Sleeping with another sucker again, huh? My good daughter is very capable now..."

Upon hearing this, Xueying's body tensed up instantly, and her nails dug deep into her palms, almost making them bleed.

That night, Yu Ziche shouting "Xitong" at her and the disgusting xp came back to her mind again.

But there was still no expression on her face, only her eyes were a little colder.

Seeing his daughter's lack of reaction, Xue Yong sneered even more fiercely, "But, while it's fun, be careful... Don't be like your worthless mother, getting herself pregnant and giving birth to a money-loser like you! And when you're pregnant, who knows which man would want you? Hahaha!"

The shrill laughter echoed in the small space, cutting people's nerves like a blunt knife.

The mother in the corner trembled violently, buried her head even lower, and let out a slight, suppressed sob.

Xueying suddenly closed her eyes, took a deep breath of the polluted air, and when she opened her eyes again, there was a dead silence and ice in her eyes.

She said nothing, without even looking at the so-called father and cowardly mother. She turned around, resolutely opened the door, and walked out.

"Bang!"

The door slammed shut behind her, isolating her from the filth and ugliness inside.

Walking down the stairs, Xueying's face was so gloomy that water seemed to drip out of it, and her clenched fists were shaking slightly due to excessive force.

The evening breeze blew her carefully groomed long hair, but it could not blow away the anger and humiliation in her heart.

Every word and every look from that man was like a poisoned needle, piercing her most sensitive and vulnerable nerves. She desperately wanted to break free from this quagmire, to climb to a higher place, to trample underfoot those who had despised and trampled on her!

And Yu Sixie is the most powerful step she can grasp at the moment, which is most likely to change her destiny.

Xitong's appearance was an accident, but it also made her feel a stronger sense of crisis.

She couldn't wait any longer.

The plan must be accelerated.

No matter what means she uses or what price she pays, she must get Yu Sixie, must completely get rid of this disgusting original family, and must make those who laugh at her and insult her only able to look up to her in the future!

The girl raised her head and looked at the lights in the distance that symbolized power and wealth, her eyes burning with almost crazy ambition and determination.

It's late at night.

The only light left in the front hall of the Yu Mansion was the flickering light from the TV screen.

Xitong curled up lazily on the sofa.

An old movie called "Me Before You" was playing, but she didn't see much of it.

She was wearing Yu Sixie's shirt, which was loose enough to cover her thighs. The washed soft fabric stuck to her skin, bringing with it the fatigue and satisfaction of afterward.

Compared to the maze-like hotel in the backyard, she now prefers the Chinese-style villa decorated by Yu's father and mother in the front yard.

But Yu's father and mother were away on business these days, and his cousin was nowhere to be found, so the huge house was suddenly empty.

In addition, the two of them started eating meat a few days ago and have not missed a single day since then.

There is no bottom line every day...

"Yu Sixie," Xi Tong said, her voice a little hoarse and lazy, her eyes still fixed on the screen, "I want to eat crayfish."

It wasn't a negotiating tone, but rather a statement with a hint of indulgence.

This kind of self-evident instruction was tinged with intimacy.

Yu Sixie was coming down from the study on the second floor with a document in his hand.

Hearing this, he walked straight to Xitong without stopping, and naturally reached out to ruffle her long curly hair that was scattered on the sofa: "So late? Garlic?"

"Yeah, that's right! I want the thirteen-spice one, too."

Xitong rolled over and looked up at him, her eyes sparkling in the dim light. "It suddenly occurred to me that when my parents were home, we used to do this all the time. We'd order takeout late at night, but most of the time it was the two of them who would eat behind my back! But in the end, the three of us would end up with our hands covered in grease."

The little one curled up in the blanket spoke with a tone of nostalgia.

Yu Sixie understood.

He didn't ask any more questions like "Is it unhealthy?" or "It's too late." He just picked up his phone, walked aside and whispered a few instructions.

In less than half an hour, the doorbell rang and several servings of steaming crayfish were delivered.

The man opened the lunch box himself on the coffee table in front of the sofa, then went to wash his hands. When he came back, he saw Xitong still lazy and didn't want to move, so he put on disposable gloves and started peeling shrimp.

His fingers were slender and his movements were skillful. He peeled out the whole shrimp meat, dipped it in the soup naturally, and handed it to Xitong's mouth.

Xi Tong, who was lying on the sofa, ate from Yu Sixie's hand. The taste of the garlic exploded on her tongue. She narrowed her eyes in satisfaction, like a cat whose fur had been stroked.

She also put on gloves, peeled one, and stuffed it into his mouth somewhat awkwardly.

The two smiled at each other.

Just as Xi Tong was directing Yu Sixie to pour her an iced drink, rustling footsteps were heard at the stairs.

"You're eating good food behind my back!"

Xizhi was rubbing his sleepy eyes, holding the small blanket he had "stolen" from Xitong in his arms, and standing on the stairs with a smug expression on his face as if he had "caught something".

Xitong chuckled and waved at him, "What do you mean by stealing food? It's you who slept like a pig. Come quickly, the shrimp your dad peeled are delicious."

Xizhi immediately ran down and squeezed in between the two of them.

Yu Sixie naturally took Xiaozhi into his arms, put on new gloves and began to peel shrimp for him.

"I want the biggest one!" Xizhi commanded, his little feet dangling on the edge of the sofa.

"Okay, I'll give you the biggest one." Yu Sixie's tone was gentle, without any impatience.

"Humph, I'm going to tell grandpa and grandma," Xizhi said vaguely while chewing the shrimp with his cheeks puffed out, "I'm going to tell you that you stayed up in the middle of the night to eat something so delicious and didn't even call me!"

Xitong smiled and leaned over, kissing Xiaozhi's chubby little face: "Then go and complain, and see if grandpa and grandma will blame you, the greedy little cat, or us."

Xizhi giggled when she was kissed, and snuggled into her mother's arms.

Yu Sixie looked at the mother and son huddled together, with an unmelting tenderness in his eyes.

He continued with his work, feeding the peeled shrimp meat into Xitong and his son's mouths alternately.

Outside the window, snowflakes began to float quietly, falling silently on the glass, creating a hazy atmosphere.

Inside the house, there was warmth and gentle lighting. The dialogue on the TV became a vague background sound, and on the coffee table was a mess of red shrimp shells that looked like a happy mess.

Yu Simie thought that the happiness he had always pursued was probably what it looked like at this moment.

In stark contrast to the warmth of the brightly lit Yu Mansion, a slender figure stood in the cold wind at the edge of the slum just across the mountain.

Xueying wrapped her thin coat tightly and looked up at the soft halo of light that was faintly visible on the other side of the mountain, which belonged to the outline of the Yu Mansion buildings.

There and the dilapidated, crowded, damp-smelling area beneath her feet were only a few miles apart, but they seemed like two worlds that would never intersect.

Snowflakes fell on her exposed neck, causing her to shudder, but a contemptuous and determined smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

"Soon..." she whispered to herself, her voice almost carried away by the wind, "I'll be living there soon. This is the life I should enjoy."

Xueying withdrew her gaze and looked down at the cold light of her phone screen.

He quickly typed a few lines and sent them to his "idiot cousin":

[Brother, if you sleep with me, I won't be responsible anymore?]

[There are more things to do at the welcoming party~]

[Be Yingying's boyfriend, brother! Then we can be together every day!]

After pressing the send button, she took a last look at the halo that symbolized wealth and power, as if she had already seen herself becoming the hostess there.

The girl turned, walked down the slippery path, and disappeared into the deeper, darker shadows of the slum, as if she had never appeared.
