Hearing Li Zhi's anxious voice on the phone, Su Wu was somewhat bewildered.
He informed his roommates when he returned, saying that he still had some things to take care of and would go back to school in a few days.
How could something like this happen so soon?
He couldn't explain it clearly over the phone; he only knew that it seemed to be a problem with the trading of game equipment.
Li Zhi spoke in a hurry, and Su Wu dared not delay, so he immediately took a taxi to Fu Rui Lou.
When he arrived at Furui Restaurant, he found that the restaurant was already closed and closed for the day, with Wang Hu's henchmen guarding the entrance.
"What happened? Where are Li Zhi and the others?"
"Brother Wu, your classmates are all inside, along with a bunch of thugs. They don't look like trouble."
"What happened?"
"It seems they came to buy some equipment, and then they started fighting. Tiger was mediating inside."
"Okay, I understand. Let me in."
Having gotten a general idea, Su Wu waved his hand and walked towards the door.
Upon entering, he saw that the hall was already packed with people.
There were Li Zhi and others, Wang Hu's men, and a group of thugs he didn't recognize.
This looks like a pretty big problem; it's almost like a triad gathering.
Upon seeing him enter, Wang Hu immediately went up to him and whispered something in his ear.
"Brother Wu, these guys are notorious local thugs who work for Zhao Sihai."
Zhao Sihai?
Upon hearing this, Su Wu frowned.
Isn't this the Tianjin real estate developer who mocked him at the banquet?
Fate is truly wondrous; this is how things got into trouble.
He sighed inwardly, and Wang Hu continued to explain.
"The leader of that group is called Zhao Debiao, also known as Sangbiao. He's a relative of Zhao Sihai and one of his henchmen. He's the one causing trouble."
"I heard from Li Zhi that they came to trade some game equipment, but this guy tried to renege on his debt and even hit someone. Luckily I was there, otherwise nothing serious happened..."
With his explanation, things gradually became clearer.
Back then, incidents of bloodshed caused by a legendary piece of equipment were all too common.
Many kids finally manage to get a decent piece of equipment at an internet cafe, only to have it wiped out by a thug next to them with a single slap.
Many people travel long distances to trade offline in order to make money, only to end up selling their goods at a bargain price after a fierce struggle.
It seems their studio got involved in an event and even ran into a gangster.
However, since this Sang Biao is working for Zhao Sihai, he shouldn't be short of a few hundred dollars. Just how big is this deal?
Su Wu was somewhat puzzled, finding it a bit dramatic.
As he pondered this, he recalled Zhao Debiao's disdainful shout.
"Wang Hu, what the hell are you babbling about? Is the person you're waiting for finally here? I don't have time to waste with you guys."
"Sang Biao, you better shut up. Don't think that just because you're with Fourth Master, I'm afraid of you."
Su Wu was in the lead, and Wang Hu was not to be outdone, so he immediately retorted.
However, his weak voice betrayed him.
He was somewhat wary of Sang Biao, and it would be good enough if he could protect Li Zhi and the others.
Su Wu patted him on the shoulder and walked towards Li Zhi and the others.
To his astonishment, he discovered that Anna was also behind them, one cheek swollen and her eyes brimming with tears.
His gaze shifted, and he noticed that Ma Shangfeng's cheeks were also swollen, clearly indicating that he had been slapped hard.
He ignored Sang Biao, who was tilting his head back and shaking his leg, and asked his friends with concern.
"They took action? Is it serious?"
"The second brother and Anna got slapped a few times, it's so damn unfair."
Li Zhi explained with a sullen face, his expression unusually grim.
He was the only one who seemed normal; the others were filled with terror.
They were all ordinary students; they had never seen anything like this before, so it's no wonder they were scared.
Su Wu nodded. "What exactly happened?"
Li Zhi pointed at Sang Biao, "They wanted to buy game equipment, and we prepared everything for them and completed the transaction, but now they're trying to renege on their debt!"
"How much does the equipment cost?"
"They only gave us 20,000 out of the 200,000."
Upon hearing this, Su Wu's eyes widened in surprise.
Trading equipment worth 200,000, how much equipment would that require?
Upon further inquiry, it was discovered that this Sang Biao belonged to a guild and aspired to be its leader, hence the group purchase.
It could be said that they bought up all the top-tier equipment the studio had accumulated this time.
200,000 is definitely a lot now, but it won't amount to much in the future.
For a long time, a Judgment Sword cost at least a thousand yuan, and Holy War equipment cost several hundred yuan per piece, with any set starting at 3,000 yuan.
As for the Dragon Slayer Sword, Su Wu remembered that the first one sold for a high price of 340,000.
"This is someone trying to dine and dash," Su Wu raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, are you even in charge? If it weren't for Wang Hu's sake, I would have left long ago. You bunch of damn students."
Zhao Debiao slammed his fist on the table and shouted, clearly dissatisfied with Su Wu's disregard.
Su Wu felt like laughing as he listened.
This guy clearly watches a lot of Young and Dangerous movies; he's another one who's been poisoned by them.
Su Wu gave the group a comforting look, then turned and pulled up a chair to sit down.
He subconsciously touched his lower back, but it was empty.
He was immediately frustrated; with such a small amount of equipment, he felt the negotiation lacked power.
Zhao Debiao looked at Su Wu's expressionless face and his lips twitched.
"You're their leader? You're not satisfied?"
"Sang Biao, right? Our equipment is reasonably priced; 20,000 is not appropriate."
"Damn it, if it weren't for the fact that you're a bunch of miserable college students, I wouldn't have given you a single cent."
