Yao Junjun's phone was on speakerphone, so everyone could hear Su Wu's words clearly.
Li Zhi stroked his chin and commented, "It's the same old flavor; the third brother is still as awesome as ever."
Zhao Qingqing exclaimed, "5 million! That's a lot of money. This guy is dumbfounded."
Anna whispered, "Actually, considering our profits, it's not that outrageous."
The group whispered among themselves, but their voices were clear enough for Yao Junjun to hear.
At this moment, his heart was like a murky pool, not yet calm but already turbulent.
Who are these people? Do they even know what money is?
Five million is more than an average person could earn in a lifetime.
Even if it's him, despite his family's wealth, he's never seen what 5 million looks like.
The busy signal rang out, and Su Wu hung up the phone again, showing no intention of continuing the conversation.
The busy signal sounded particularly jarring at that moment, and Yao Junjun's face turned bright red with embarrassment.
He felt like a clown, just there to have fun.
"That's fucking hilarious! Does he even know how much 5 million is? Your mess isn't even worth 1 million, you idiot!"
To cover his embarrassment, he stiffened his neck and spoke to Li Zhi, his voice like a dog's bark.
Li Zhi didn't take it seriously and shrugged.
"Dude, you come from a business family, but our studio deals with technology. Knowledge is priceless."
"You're trying to fool an idiot! A gamer doesn't have any skills whatsoever; anyone with hands can do it!"
Yao Junjun scoffed at Li Zhi's teasing.
He was as stubborn as a dead duck, but Li Zhi had no intention of keeping him alive any longer.
“Yao San’er, Su Wu’s meaning is my meaning. If you have 5 million, then we can have a proper talk. If not, then forget it.”
"Damn it, even if I had 5 million, I wouldn't be a sucker. Do you think I can't handle a game studio on my own?"
"Then do it yourself. I'm warning you, if you try anything funny, I'll never forgive you."
"Tch, do you think I'm easily scared? We'll see!"
Having lost face, Yao Junjun was too ashamed to stay any longer.
He left after uttering a few meaningless words, gritting his teeth.
Before leaving, he didn't forget to give Anna a smile.
"Anna, I'm determined to pursue you. There's no one I, Yao Junjun, can't get the job for."
After saying that, he left with a few followers.
Watching his retreating figure, Li Zhi rubbed his forehead in exasperation.
He knew some of Yao Junjun's reputation and knew that the bastard wasn't exaggerating.
He rubbed his waist, which had grown noticeably larger on one side, and spoke helplessly.
"We need to have a little meeting. Yao Junjun is no pushover."
Evening, Fu Rui Lou.
Su Wu walked into the private room that had been reserved for him, feeling somewhat dejected.
Several of his roommates issued an emergency call, and he really couldn't refuse them.
As soon as he entered the private room, he saw that several familiar men and women had already arrived.
"What emergency is it that requires such a large-scale mobilization?"
"Hey third brother, you're a student, right? You're so unprofessional! Halfway through the semester, how many days have you even attended?"
Before he could even sit down properly, Li Zhi started teasing him, with a hint of resentment in his voice.
Keep in mind that they didn't attend some low-ranking, unreputable university; they attended a prestigious institution.
Everyone has gone to great lengths to get in; who can rise to the level of Su Wu?
Su Wu smiled and sat down, rubbing his slightly sore dark circles.
"You guys aren't much better off, are you? I heard that the second and fourth brothers went to a computer training class?"
"Tch, it's all because you taught them so well. They didn't even understand the basics of what they were learning, but they did learn all the social skills and etiquette."
Zhao Qingqing, true to her husband's wishes, immediately spoke up for Li Zhi.
Su Wu was pleased to hear this.
Universities emphasize independent learning; following rigid rules and regulations will hinder one's progress.
Besides, what's the point of a life that follows the same routine?
Thinking to himself, he smiled and asked, "Tell me, what's the occasion today? I still have business to attend to."
"Busy my ass! Your girlfriend is about to be stolen away, that's Yao Junjun's problem!"
Li Zhi rolled his eyes, feeling that Su Wu was very unreliable.
Su Wu asked in surprise, "That kid is planning to offer 5 million?"
"Brother, listen carefully to what I'm saying. Is this my main point?" Li Zhi shouted.
Upon hearing this, Su Wu couldn't help but look at Anna, who seemed somewhat uneasy beside him.
It seems it's time to make some things clear.
Otherwise, if the misunderstanding continues, things will only get worse.
"Anna is so beautiful, it's normal for her to have suitors. We can talk about this later. First, tell me about Yao Junjun. He called me today out of the blue."
Upon hearing this, Li Zhi pursed his lips and recounted what had happened.
After learning the details, Ma Shangfeng and Miao Renfeng were somewhat bewildered and a little scared.
They lacked Li Zhi's background and Su Wu's insight, so they were quite intimidated by someone like Yao Junjun.
Su Wu listened attentively, and felt a similar concern in his heart.
He wasn't afraid of anything, but Ma Shangfeng and Miao Renfeng might not be.
In his previous life, he had encountered many people like Yao Junjun, who were very difficult to deal with.
"Boss, do you think that bastard might get angry and cause trouble for the second and fourth brothers?"
"This... well, he's capable of doing it."
"Isn't your reputation useful?"
"I warned him, but who knows if it will work."
Li Zhi was also quite troubled by this, since he wasn't Yao Junjun's father.
If Yao Junjun really takes his anger out on someone, then everyone else besides him will be in trouble.
