He said calmly, "Erpi, since we're brothers, let's talk things out. What are your thoughts?"
Erpi smiled bitterly, "I've told you I'm an orphan. I've done a lot of things to cheat people out of money over the years. I won't go into details. If you want to do good deeds, donate some of your money. That way you'll feel at ease."
“Okay, then let’s follow your old rules: donate half, keep half, and then we’ll split it equally,” Su Wu said casually.
"Donate 10 million?"
Erpi could hardly believe his ears; he hadn't earned this much in all his years of work.
Su Wu calmly flicked his cigarette ash. "What's this little bit of money? Trust me, we'll never be short of money in the future. Let's set a small goal first: earn a hundred million."
"Damn, your family owns a mine, how can we poor people compare?"
Erpi, who had been tricked, rolled his eyes.
Su Wu sighed and leaned back on the dusty sofa. "Want to hear my story? The story of a mine owner's unfortunate illegitimate son."
A faint sadness permeated the room, and Erpi's expression became more serious.
He sat upright, looking intently at Su Wu, waiting for him to continue.
What happened next with Su Wu truly shocked him.
He concluded at the very end, "So, we're pretty much the same. I'm a wild orphan, while you're a richly raised orphan. Should I say you're lucky, or just lucky? But you're a real jerk, and that little bit of money you made is really something else."
Su Wu laughed and said, "There's nothing I can do. Everyone looks out for themselves, and besides, they don't even consider me family. Just like you, my father is only doing this to put his mind at ease."
After saying that, he stood up and dusted himself off. "Alright, this house is leaking. After we clean it up, we'll find someone to fix it. Now we should get back to starting our business."
