Chapter 207 Aquitas

Marus, number 12, stood there dumbfounded.

What did you just say?

Apologize?

sorry?

This... this is something a female Proxima Centauri would say to herself?!

Marus, number 12, slightly raised his head and stared blankly at the female Proxima Centauri in front of him, who was much taller than him.

"I……"

He moved his lips, but for a moment he didn't know what to say.

"Aquitas, everything is ready!"

A deep, gruff voice rang out.

"Alright! Here we come!" the female Proxima Centauri in front of her shouted.

A smooth arc reappeared at the top of her thought organ.

Then, she turned around and walked back towards the warehouse.

Marus, number 12, stared blankly at her retreating figure.

Aquitas...

This must be her name, right?

Unlike Mars, true Proxima Centauri people generally have their own names.

As he pondered this, he silently walked towards the shop entrance.

Her father should be out soon; he doesn't want to cause her any trouble.

Just because of those two smiles.

He hoped she could survive future disasters.

...

A few minutes later, two tall Proxima Centauri emerged from the warehouse.

When the female Proxima Centauri named Aquitas saw Marus number 12 standing voluntarily at the shop entrance, she froze in place.

"Aquitas?"

A gruff voice rang out from the taller, male Proxima Centauri: "You mean Marus, the one by the shop entrance?"

Aquitas nodded slightly and followed the male Proxima Centauri slowly toward the shop door.

"Here you go." The male Proxima Centauri tossed two large bags in front of Marus with annoyance. "Everything's here, you can go now."

Marus, number 12, once again placed his forelimbs on top of his mind organ to express his respect: "Thank you."

"Oh, right." The male Proxima Centauri glanced at Marus's physique, then at the two "huge" bags beside him, and casually pointed to the side of the shop. "There are moving tools over there. You can take them and use them. Just remember to return them next time."

Marus, number 12, froze in place once again.

A few seconds later.

"Thanks you!"

He hesitated before walking toward the moving tools beside him.

It was a simple pushcart.

Even so, the tow truck was a great help to him.

He laboriously placed the two bags onto the cart one after the other.

As he was about to leave, a hint of struggle was visible in his three pairs of visual organs.

Are we just going to leave like this?

No, that won't work.

He loosened his short forelegs and ran back to the shop.

"Huh?!" The male Proxima Centauri's visual organs narrowed instantly. "Marus, what else do you want to do?!"

He sensed the hostility of the male Proxima Centauri in front of him.

Even so, he placed his forelimbs on top of his thought organ and said in an extremely respectful tone, "Please don't misunderstand."

"To express my gratitude, I would like to tell you something."

"...This is what I heard at the incubation center." Marus No. 12 explained the whole thing in general terms, and then added, "It was Lord Rex who said it."

He turned to look at Aquitas and said again, "If such a thing really happens in the future, I hope you can survive."

After saying that, he turned and walked towards the cart next to him.

With this cart, he suddenly had plenty of time.

He had ample time to deliver this message to every Marus.

"etc!"

A heavy shout came from behind: "Hey... Marus, wait!"

Marus, number 12, stopped and turned his head in surprise.

"My lord, you..."

"Put your things aside and come in to talk!" the male Proxima Centauri said in a deep voice.

...

What's your name?

He fell into a brief silence when asked by the male Proxima Centauri.

"I don't have a name, you can call me number 12."

"Number 12..." The male Proxima Centauri nodded thoughtfully, "Why are you telling us this?"

While asking the questions, the male Proxima Centauri stared intently at Marus number 12, trying to find any trace of lying in his expression.

Clearly, it failed.

Marus, number 12, appeared completely calm, without the slightest hint of panic.

He said in a respectful and natural tone, "Actually, according to our plan, this news will only spread in Marus."

"But... your attitude toward me makes me feel that I should tell you this."

"I don't know what this feeling is like, but I've never felt this way since I was born and have memories of it."

Thank you.

Aquitas and his father exchanged a glance.

The male Proxima Centauri sighed deeply: "Is this really true? Is there any evidence?"

A hint of bewilderment shone through his visual organs.

evidence?

He didn't know what evidence was, nor did he know what could be used as evidence.

When he consciously memorized those conversations, he had already surpassed the vast majority of Marus.

“I, I can assure you, that’s exactly what I heard in that conversation.”

Upon hearing this, Aquitas glanced at his father beside him with some concern.

The male Proxima Centauri didn't speak; he simply sat quietly in his chair, deep in thought.
