"This...this is impossible!"
William Blair's face was deathly pale, and the veins on the back of his hands, which were gripping the documents, were bulging!
The next moment, he abruptly raised his head, looked at the man who had brought the documents in front of him, and shouted fiercely with a somewhat ferocious expression, "Quick! Prepare the car!"
"Get the car ready?" A hint of doubt flashed in the man's eyes, and he subconsciously asked, "Where to?"
"White House!"
William Blair reached for his coat, which was lying to the side, and flung open the office door: "I want to see the White House doors within ten minutes!"
...
The White House in the United States.
William Blair clutched the A4 sheet of paper containing the intelligence report tightly in his hand and rushed to the President's office in a frantic rush.
Then……
Unsurprisingly, he was stopped by two tall bodyguards.
"Let me through! I have very important information to report to the president!"
As he spoke, William waved the documents in his hand.
"Excuse me, sir, it's Mr. Albert's nap time now!" the bodyguard said expressionlessly.
William Blair's eyes widened in shock; he was so angry he almost laughed!
"WTF?!"
Do you know who I am?
“You are the Director of the CIA, sir,” the bodyguard continued calmly. “But I still cannot let you through. Mr. Albert specifically instructed that no one should disturb his afternoon nap.”
“Sir, please understand. If we let you go, we’ll lose our jobs,” another bodyguard added.
"Hmph..." William Blair chuckled, giving the two bodyguards in front of him a meaningful look. "Fine, I hope you two remember this!"
"Tell me, how much longer does the president's afternoon nap last?"
“…Five minutes. You can wait in the waiting area over there.” The bodyguard clearly didn’t take William’s threat seriously and casually pointed to a chair in the aisle.
Five minutes later.
As an alarm clock rang from the presidential office next door, the two bodyguards quietly reminded him, "Director William, the president's afternoon nap is over. You may go in now."
William Blair sighed deeply, stood up from his chair, and strode towards the office door.
...
"Knock knock knock!"
William composed himself and gently knocked on the door of the president's office.
Who is it?
Just as William was about to respond, Albert's voice rang out again: "Never mind, whoever it is, come in!"
William: "..."
His lips twitched slightly, and he pushed open the office door.
"William Blair?" Albert rubbed his sleepy eyes, stretched, and muttered, "What are you doing here?"
William Blair's eyes twitched violently twice as he looked at the still-sleepy president in front of him.
His expression was grave, and he said in a deep voice, "Your Excellency, intelligence agents from Xia Country have sent over some very important information..."
Before he could finish speaking, Albert raised his hand to interrupt William Blair.
The next moment, Albert reached out and pressed a red button on the table.
Just as William Blair was still wondering what was going on, the office door behind him suddenly opened.
A secretary dressed in office lady attire walked into the office carrying a cup of brown beverage.
Albert's gaze lingered for a few seconds on the beautiful secretary's legs, which were clad in black stockings.
He then reached out and took the glass from his secretary, nodding slightly to William: "Cola, would you like a glass?"
"By the way, what did you just say?"
William: "..."
To be honest, he had never been so speechless in his life.
Although he had heard people say that this president was unreliable, he never expected it to be so...absurd!
Suddenly, he abandoned the idea of "snitching" to the president. After all, judging from the situation, he figured the two bodyguards wouldn't be punished for this.
He took a deep breath to calm his turbulent emotions.
Then, gritting his teeth, he said, "Your Excellency President, our intelligence agents from Xia Kingdom have sent us important information!"
Upon hearing that the news came from the Xia Kingdom, Albert's expression gradually became more serious.
He picked up his glass, took a small sip of his iced cola, and asked in a low voice, "What intelligence?"
"Xia Kingdom has mastered the technology for miniaturizing controlled nuclear fusion!"
"Pfft...cough cough!!" President Albert coughed as he grabbed a napkin from the side and frantically wiped the Coke stains off his desk.
"What did you say?! Miniaturized controlled nuclear fusion technology?"
"How is this possible?! Is the news reliable?"
William Blair shrugged: "Of course it's reliable. The Xia Kingdom government has already acknowledged it."
President Abbott's face instantly darkened.
Damn it...
He just spent a lot of money to buy the complete set of controlled nuclear fusion technology!
So, he ended up buying someone else's obsolete product?!
Historically, only the United States has ever reaped the benefits from other countries!
Albert never imagined that during his tenure, the United States would be so thoroughly exploited by China, a country thousands of miles away!
“Congressman Lee…” Albert muttered to himself with a gloomy look in his eyes.
William handed the document to Albert: "In addition, the intelligence agents obtained a piece of information."
"Xia Guo is developing an electric propulsion system and has cancelled the Long March 10 heavy-lift launch vehicle research project."
"In my opinion, this is what we need to pay attention to."
