Why does Chapter 1332 feel so familiar?

Out of curiosity about what artwork Emmanuel had brought specifically for his grandfather, everyone crowded around after the servant removed the protective layer from the artwork.

"Mr. Ye, thank you for your hard work."

Emmanuel gestured to Ye Chen again, hoping that Ye Chen would have it appraised.

Ye Chen was also a little curious, so he turned around and slowly walked over.

Emmanuel's artwork is a painting, and by a master.

Ye Chen began to observe.

The others stood aside, waiting quietly.

Ye Chen nodded from time to time while making the appraisal.

Noticing this detail, Emmanuel sneered repeatedly, thinking Ye Chen was just putting on an act.

With his limited knowledge, he's hardly qualified to appraise this master's paintings.

"To be honest, the artist of this painting is none other than the renowned master Picasso."

Emmanuel showed off to everyone.

"What?! This is a painting by Picasso?!"

"My God, Picasso's paintings are so precious."

"Third Brother, you actually managed to get your hands on a Picasso painting, that's impressive."

The group was stunned by Picasso's name.

Even the elder Wittelsbach was somewhat excited; there are very few genuine Picasso works, and they are all priceless.

Just as Emmanuel was showing off, Ye Chen had finished his appraisal and walked over.

"Oh, Mr. Ye, you've finished your appraisal. How was it?"

"Imanuel asked."

Emmanuel was quite certain that his painting was an authentic work by Caroline, after all, the person who sold the painting had connections with Picasso.

They appear to be descendants of Picasso's students.

And Ye Chen kept nodding just now, so there's nothing more to say.

"Not bad, not bad..."

Ye Chen answered.

"Not bad, right?"

Before Ye Chen could finish speaking, Emmanuel wanted to continue showing off.

Unfortunately, before he could utter his boastful words, Ye Chen's next words cut him off.

"Let me finish. What I mean is that this painting is a very good forgery. It is a masterpiece among forgeries, almost to the point of being indistinguishable from the real thing."

Ye Chen added.

He nodded in admiration, indicating that the person who created the forgery was indeed a master painter with a very high level of skill.

Most appraisers, even some very skilled ones, would probably find it difficult to identify.

"What?"

"You're saying it's fake, that my painting is fake? You're not mistaken, are you?"

Emmanuel immediately lost his composure and stepped forward to confront Ye Chen.

“I bought this painting from the descendants of Picasso’s students. How could it be fake? I even had it authenticated!”

Emmanuel did not believe Ye Chen's words.

"Is something bought from a descendant of Picasso's student necessarily genuine?"

Ye Chen countered with a question.

Even if you buy it from Picasso's students or descendants, you can't be 100% sure it's genuine, let alone from Picasso's own descendants.

What if some descendant, some unworthy offspring, uses their ancestor's name to sell large quantities of fake paintings and make money?

After learning about Ye Chen's assessment results, the people present looked puzzled.

Even the old Wittelsbach, who was accomplished in art authentication, fell silent. He had just examined it and believed it to be genuine.

He couldn't see anything wrong with the painting, so he was skeptical of Ye Chen's words.

"Okay, so you said my painting is fake, a forgery? Then show me the evidence."

"Imanuel said confidently."

"Evidence, yes."

After saying that, Ye Chen walked back to the high-definition Picasso image, pointed to a small detail, and said to the group.

“Come and look here.”

Several people immediately gathered around and looked at the spot Ye Chen was pointing to.

"The hallmark of Picasso is his use of color, space, and line. Look at the lines in this painting; they're too deliberate."

"Most of the lines in this painting are handled well, but a copy is still a copy, and there are still some minor flaws. The lines here are too stiff in his imitation."

Ye Chen explained to everyone.

"To give you an example, if you write an Arabic numeral by hand, it will definitely be very smooth. But if someone else looks at the Arabic numeral you wrote and tries to imitate it, the lines will definitely be stiff."

“Take a look on your phone and search for Picasso’s masterpiece, ‘The Weeping Woman.’ Compare the lines of that painting with this one, and you’ll see the difference.”

"besides..............."

Ye Chen asked them three questions in a row.

After listening, even Emmanuel couldn't refute Ye Chen.

Ye Chen's words do make sense, and they have all been verified.

Emmanuel was somewhat bewildered.

Wait a minute, isn't Ye Chen supposed to only know a little about art? Why does he seem like an art appraisal master now, instead of someone who only knows a little?

"Mr. Ye, how come you are so familiar with Picasso?"

Old Wittelsbach couldn't help but speak up.

He also admires Picasso's paintings and has studied them for quite some time, but compared to Mr. Ye, the gap is enormous.

"Why does it feel so familiar? Well, it's nothing, I just have an original Picasso painting at home."

Ye Chen gave a calm reply.

Having seen many genuine Picasso works at home, Ye Chen naturally gained a deeper understanding of them.

Do you have an original Picasso painting?!

Everyone was taken aback by Ye Chen's words. This was an answer none of them had expected. They had thought Ye Chen would say that he had done a lot of research or that he liked Picasso too much.

Mr. Ye told them it was because he had an authentic Picasso painting.

Ah, this...............

"Mr. Ye, which of your Picasso paintings is the original?"

Emmanuel inquired.

He still refused to believe it, thinking Ye Chen was bragging, and insisted that Ye Chen tell him which Picasso painting he had in his collection.

"The Boy with a Pipe".

Ye Chen responded casually.

"So that famous painting, 'Boy with a Pipe,' was in Mr. Ye's possession."

"It seems that Mr. Ye was the one who bought 'The Boy with a Pipe' at a super high price back then."

Everyone sighed with emotion.

Once he had a specific name, Emmanuel had no choice but to believe it.

He wanted to use this genuine Picasso painting to embarrass Ye Chen, but instead, he shot himself in the foot and ended up being the one who lost face.

Giving your grandfather a fake painting is no small matter.

Just as everyone was marveling at Ye Chen's extensive collection and the scene fell silent, a phone rang out, breaking the tranquility at an inopportune moment.

Ye Chen called.

However, when Ye Chen took out his phone and saw who was calling, he was quite surprised.

Why would he call himself?!
