Chapter 247 Descendants of Mythical Civilization

In the distant reaches of space, there exists a vast, emerald-green planet upon which sits a magnificent temple.

A group of humans dressed in robes and holding staffs sat around the temple. Their robes were exquisitely made with smooth lines and runes that shimmered with silver light.

These people all have different appearances, but they all exude an extraordinary aura.

Among them was a quantum communication device, the very one that Ye Chen and his group had sent into the wormhole.

“The sudden appearance of this thing in the temple must have a profound meaning,” said one of the priests.

“These symbols are similar to the language of the gods in legends; perhaps this is a revelation left to us by the gods,” another priest chimed in.

"Millions of years ago, this continent was still a wild and untamed place. It was the gods who descended and brought civilization and order."

A young priest recalled an ancient legend and said, "Now, the demons are about to descend once more. Perhaps this is the gods guiding us and helping us through this crisis."

"Since the last time the gods resisted the invasion of the demons, they have all disappeared and have been gone from the continent for tens of thousands of years. We cannot let the glory of the gods fade away. This is a good opportunity to let our people witness the glory of the gods and boost their morale!"

"It was said by an old priest who was quite dignified and whose eyes gleamed with wisdom."

"The High Priest is absolutely right!"

Everyone nodded, clearly convinced by the old man's words.

After discussing for a while, they came to the front hall, bowed to a noblewoman on the throne above, and said, "Your Majesty, after discussion, we believe that outstanding young men should be selected to listen to the guidance of the gods."

The woman, addressed as Her Majesty, exuded an aura of nobility. Her long, flowing golden hair shimmered with dazzling light, her snow-white skin was crystal clear, and her jade-like face radiated an aura of majesty that made people dare not look directly at her.

She nodded slightly and readily agreed, saying, "Regardless of whether this thing comes from the realm of the gods or not, we cannot miss this opportunity."

She paused for a moment, then continued, "Let Elizabeth come. Since she discovered this thing, perhaps it is fate. She is also the most talented person in the Empire, and she is just right to be the communicator."

Before long, Eliza was summoned. Her face bore an eighty percent resemblance to the woman on the throne; she was equally noble, elegant, and breathtaking.

She bowed to the woman on the throne and said, "Mother, did you summon me here because of something in the Holy Land?"

“Eliza, after discussing with the priests, we have decided to put you in charge of communicating with the people or gods on the other side of this thing and trying to get outside help.”

"You are well aware of the current situation in the empire. The rifts are widening, and more and more demons are appearing. We urgently need support to overcome this crisis."

"Are you confident that you can take on this mission and secure support for the Empire?"

The woman on the throne looked directly at Eliza and asked in a solemn tone.

"Please rest assured, Mother, even if it means my death, I will complete this mission!"

Eliza answered resolutely, then paused and asked worriedly, "Mother, how much longer can the Empire hold out?"

The Queen said gravely, "Given the current frequency and level of demons appearing, we should be able to hold out for a hundred years, but after that, it will depend on fate!"

"Alright, with me and the priests guarding the place, there's no need to worry for now. You should complete your mission as soon as possible!"

"Yes, Your Majesty, I take my leave!" Eliza bowed, accepted the quantum communication device handed to her by the High Priest, and turned to leave the hall.

......

On the other side.

Ye Chen and the others waited for a while, but did not receive a response from the other side. After instructing Xiao Yan to continue tracking, he and Professor Pan returned to the long instrument.

"Professor Pan, have you made any progress in your research on this light screen?" Ye Chen asked, looking at the enormous light screen in front of him.

"Ever since you sent us the magic array technology from the mythical civilization, we have measured the composition of this light screen based on the Grand Unified Theory, and we have made quite a few discoveries."

As Professor Pan spoke, he opened his personal computer and began operating it.

A three-dimensional simulation of the moon immediately appeared before them.

"Based on our speculation, the energy utilization principle of this light curtain that envelops the wormhole entrance is similar to that of a magic circle, or rather, it is a giant magic circle."

"Where does the energy of such a large magic array come from?" Ye Chen asked curiously.

"We didn't know that before, but this problem was solved after we figured out the Grand Unified Theory," Professor Pan said with a smile.

"The gravity of a black hole!" Ye Chen blurted out in a flash of inspiration.

Professor Pan praised, "That's right, we also studied it for a long time before we figured it out. It wasn't like President Ye who understood it so easily."

"The person who set up this magic array used special means to convert the enormous gravitational force generated by the black hole into the energy source for the array. In this way, as long as the black hole's gravity does not disappear, this magic array will continue to exist!"

Ye Chen couldn't help but praise, "Tsk tsk, what a brilliant idea! No wonder this magic array has been working for millions of years. The people of the mythical civilization may not have derived the Grand Unified Theory, but they have reached an extremely high level in the application of energy!"

Professor Pan laughed and said, "We're not bad either. Once we understand how these basic forces are converted, many things can be accomplished."

"Inspired by this magic circle, I am experimenting with this principle to create a device that can counteract the gravity of a black hole. Perhaps before long, we will be able to enter a black hole in our physical bodies!"

"Mr. Ye, it's perfect that you're here today. I still have some problems I haven't figured out. What do you think...?"

As he spoke, he threw out a list of several problems he had encountered in his research.

Ye Chen stared intently, pondered for a moment, and then casually waved his hand, causing a screen of light to appear before him.

He wrote on it with his finger as he said, "I think this is a way to solve this problem..."

Professor Pan listened attentively, nodding as he went, and occasionally raising new questions and ideas.

Before they knew it, the two of them had started discussing something on the spot.

After an unknown amount of time, Professor Pan's personal communicator rang, interrupting their discussion.

Professor Pan glanced at the screen and saw that it was a call request from Xiao Yan.

He quickly answered the call, and Xiao Yan's excited voice came through, "President Ye, Professor Pan, they've responded again!"

Ye Chen and Professor Pan exchanged a glance, stopped their deductions, and quickly headed towards the room where Xiao Yan was.

This was the first real contact between humans and extraterrestrials!
