As the two chatted, the van drove through Haizhou city and slowly stopped in front of a quaint and elegant courtyard.
Li Muyue stood at the door, wearing a white dress, her clear eyes gazing in the direction the car had entered. Behind her was an elderly man who looked like a butler.
Seeing Ye Chen get out of the car, she walked up to him with a smile and extended her delicate hand, saying, "Welcome to Haizhou, Ye Chen."
Ye Chen politely squeezed her soft hand and said with a smile, "No need to be so polite, we're practically family now."
Then I looked up and examined the small courtyard. The architectural style here was quite unique, quite different from the style in the inland areas. Although it was simple, it exuded a sense of history.
Li Muyue rolled her eyes at him and said, "Come with me, Grandpa is waiting for you in the study."
As he spoke, he turned to the butler behind him and said, "Uncle Fu, I can take him in. Please arrange dinner for tonight."
"Yes, Miss," Uncle Fu replied, bowing slightly to Ye Chen before turning and walking into the courtyard.
Ye Chen smiled slightly and followed her forward. The courtyard didn't look big from the outside, but there was another space inside. Various flowers, plants and trees were planted in the courtyard, creating a vibrant scene.
After walking through a corridor and arriving at the door of a room, Li Muyue stopped and turned around, saying, "Grandpa is inside. You can go in by yourself!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Chen asked in surprise, "Aren't you coming along?"
Li Muyue shook her head and said, "Grandpa said he wants to talk to you alone. I'll wait for you outside."
After saying that, he turned around and walked to the corner not far away, where he sat down.
