Chapter 255 Facing the Battle

The atmosphere inside the alien spaceship wasn't great.

Based on the discs from Voyager 1, they previously estimated that human civilization was at a level less than Level 1.

However, judging from the information just transmitted from the shadows, human civilization has already surpassed level one.

Their reach has extended beyond their home planet, and they have established a galactic defense system.

If we say that before human civilization, we were like chicks raised in captivity, just waiting for others to come and catch them.

However, the little chick has now grown up and has gained the ability to fly briefly. It runs around everywhere and might even get pecked if it's not careful.

This makes the capture more than ten times more difficult!

Faced with this situation, the alien leader on the spaceship summoned several of his key subordinates for a battle meeting.

The alien leader said angrily, "Gentlemen, the strength of human civilization has exceeded our expectations, which makes our capture plan more difficult. We thought that with our advanced technology, we could capture humans on their home planet with ease, but we underestimated the speed of human development."

"In just a few decades, their civilization level has reached 1.5, which is already enough to cause us harm. We haven't been able to operate for a long time and can't afford too many losses. Let's discuss this."

His chief strategist, Moka, rolled his eyes and said, "Chief, although human civilization now has a certain ability to fight back, we have not found any spaceships that can rival us. In terms of strength, they are far inferior to us."

"I suggest we don't send out small units to fight. Instead, we should use the long-range attack capabilities of our spaceships to destroy all of their defenses outside the range of their orbital cannons. Then, humanity will be trapped like fish in a barrel."

"Moreover, according to intelligence, human civilization is riddled with internal contradictions. We can use some counter-espionage tactics to create chaos within human civilization, and then capturing this civilization will be effortless."

Upon hearing this, the other subordinates' expressions darkened slightly. One of them said to the leader, "Leader, human civilization is far behind us. We can easily destroy their defenses with our own strength. Why go to such great lengths and waste so much time and effort?"

They also had their own ulterior motives; if they followed Moka's plan, they would basically get no chance to fight.

Having wandered through interstellar space for so long, they were itching to get their hands on something. Now that a piece of meat was right in front of them, they were being asked to stand by and watch. Of course, they were unwilling to do so.

The alien leader glared at him and said, "Shut your mouth! This godforsaken place doesn't even have a place where we can replenish our supplies and energy."

"We must minimize our losses, and everything must be done according to Moka's orders! You all better stay obediently inside the spaceship. No one is allowed to leave without my permission!"

The subordinates exchanged glances and, under their leader's pressure, reluctantly agreed.

After the space pirates reached an agreement, the ship continued its journey and plunged into the Kuiper Belt.

In the Kuiper Belt.

General Peng has already led the First Fleet to lie in ambush there.

Ten spaceships, carrying hundreds of spaceplanes and nearly five thousand nuclear warheads, have been deployed and are in position.

"General, according to the information we have observed, the alien spacecraft entered the Kuiper Belt from this direction. This is the calculated route of their journey."

A young officer handed General Zhou the documents in his hand.

He quickly glanced at it, nodded slightly, and said, "It's about what we expected. Summon commanders at all levels and prepare for a combat meeting."

"Yes, General."

......

In the virtual conference room, General Peng solemnly reviewed the intelligence he had gathered and then began to deploy according to the previous plan.

Dozens of young commanders sat in their seats, listening attentively to General Peng's speech.

Soon, they all received their assigned tasks.

A total of ten spaceships will be formed into three combat units, each tasked with finding opportunities to harass alien spaceships.

The sole objective is to slow down the alien spaceship's advance as much as possible, buying time for those behind!

General Peng's gaze swept over these young commanders, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

"Gentlemen, this mission is very challenging, but I believe you can accomplish it."

General Peng's voice was deep and firm: "We must do everything possible to slow down the alien spacecraft and buy more time for the rear."

"General, we all understand the importance of this mission."

"We will do our utmost to live up to humanity's expectations," a young commander said.

“Yes, General. We are fully prepared and will certainly complete the mission,” another commander echoed.

General Peng nodded, a hint of worry flashing in his eyes: "This battle may be very brutal. You must be prepared to sacrifice yourselves. You are all the elite of humanity, the best warriors. I do not want to see you alive."

“General, we never expected to leave alive when we came here.” A young commander smiled. “For the future of humanity, we have no choice but to go.”

“That’s right, General. We are all prepared to sacrifice ourselves. This is our mission, and we will fight to the very end,” another commander said.

Looking at these young and determined faces, General Peng was filled with emotion and pride: "Gentlemen, I won't say anything more. If you have any unfulfilled wishes, please tell me, and I will do my best to help you achieve them."

“General, my only wish is for my family to be safe,” a commander said. “If I am killed, please tell my family that I fought for the future of humanity.”

"I will arrange for someone to visit your family and tell them that you are a hero," General Peng promised.

"Thank you, General!" the commander said gratefully.

"General, if I am killed, please bury me in my hometown."

Another commander said, then, as if remembering something, added, "There probably aren't any remains left. Make me a cenotaph; I want to be buried where I was born."

"I will arrange everything so that you can rest in peace on your homeland." General Peng nodded.

"Thank you, General..."

The dialogue continued, with each commander expressing their wishes. General Peng took careful notes and promised to do his best to help them achieve them.

Finally, General Peng took a deep breath and said in a heavy tone, "Gentlemen, let us fight for the future of humanity! May our courage and sacrifice bring hope to mankind!"

"For the future of humanity!" all the commanders shouted in unison, their voices echoing in the virtual conference room.

General Peng looked at these young and brave soldiers and felt a deep respect for them.

He slowly raised his right hand and solemnly saluted the people in front of him.

The commanders stood ramrod straight and returned the salute solemnly.

Afterwards, their figures slowly disappeared into the virtual conference room.
