Chapter 19 The one calling you isn't your companion.

That's true. Mages are strong in spirit and agility, but weak in strength and defense. Their close combat ability is indeed quite average.

"Okay, I'm done talking. It's your turn now," the man with the earring said with a smile.

The woman in the leather jacket thought for a moment and then said:

"My name is Sun Qianqian. I also come from Shanghai No.1 High School. I am a level 3 swordsman with the skills [Sword Qi] and [Swift Blade]. I am good at rushing in and ambushing."

Lin Yu was not surprised that Sun Qianqian was in the same industry as him.

However, even among swordsmen, their development paths can differ. According to Lin Yu's observation, Sun Qianqian seems to be developing in a more explosive direction, which can be understood as an assassin.

"Is [Swift Blade] a skill you learned from a skill book?" Lin Yu asked curiously.

Sun Qianqian nodded: "The skill effect is: [Upon activation, increases attack speed and movement speed by 20% for 5 seconds.]"

Lin Yu thought to himself: This skill is very assassin-like.

After thinking for a moment, he asked again:

"You're all students from Shanghai No. 1 High School, you must know each other before, right? I'm curious how you got tricked, cough cough, how you got into this dungeon."

The two looked somewhat embarrassed, clearly unwilling to answer the question.

Sun Qianqian quickly changed the subject, saying, "We've finished introducing Song Tianhuo, now it's your turn, right?"

Just as Lin Yu was about to speak, he suddenly heard a voice calling from behind: "Song Tianhuo, Song Tianhuo!"

Lin Yu shuddered, goosebumps rising on his skin.

He recognized the voice; it belonged to Zhao Daqiang, the man with the earring.

"Zhao Daqiang, did you just call me?" Lin Yu asked, his neck stiff and he dared not move as he spoke.

If you hear someone calling your name from behind while walking up the stairs, please don't turn around. The person calling you might not be your companion.

"No!" Zhao Daqiang's voice came from the left, muttering:

"What's wrong? Didn't I ask you to introduce yourself? Why are you asking this out of the blue?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Yu heard someone calling from behind him again: "Song Tianhuo, Song Tianhuo!"

Lin Yu pondered for a moment, and soon realized a problem:

The voice called out "Song Tianhuo," not "Lin Yu." If the other party had called out "Lin Yu," that would have been a bit scary!

But if it's just "Song Tianhuo," that's fine. There are only two sources for this misinformation: 1. The conversation between Lin Yu and the others just now. 2. Theater tickets.

Lin Yu leaned more towards the latter, but he couldn't figure out much for the time being.

"Song Tianhuo! Song Tianhuo!"

The voice behind him grew closer and louder, seemingly quite displeased that Lin Yu was ignoring him.

But it was obvious that Zhao Daqiang and Sun Qianqian, who were standing nearby, did not hear the sound.

Lin Yu's Adam's apple bobbed slightly. He thought to himself, "I can't bear all this alone, can I? Good friends should share." So he said:

"Zhao Daqiang, I heard a voice calling me from behind, it's your voice."

In an instant, both Zhao Daqiang and Sun Qianqian got goosebumps.

"Damn it! Song Tianhuo, don't scare me!" Zhao Daqiang said in a trembling voice.

"But why didn't we hear it? Song Tianhuo, are you sure you didn't mishear?" Song Qianqian asked.

Lin Yu smiled wryly:

"How could I have misheard? In just a few seconds, that voice called me at least ten times. Now, it's right next to my ear, just like someone is leaning on my shoulder and talking to me."

"Hiss!" Zhao Daqiang and Song Qianqian gasped in unison. Just as they were about to turn their heads to take a look, they immediately remembered the audience guidelines.

At this point, the two of them dared not twist their necks anymore and walked forward without looking to the side.

Soon, the group walked from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor. As they turned the corner, they witnessed a scene that sent chills down their spines:

A head suddenly appeared on Lin Yu's shoulder, with sharp snouts and fangs, looking extremely ferocious. Its mouth opened wide, wide, and then it bit down!

"Song Tianhuo, on your shoulder!" Sun Qianqian said in a trembling voice.

Zhao Daqiang, standing to the side, was so frightened that he couldn't speak.

Lin Yu felt a chill run down his spine; he saw it too!

At the same time, a bone-chilling coldness spread through his shoulder, and his internal energy was sharply reduced.

A prompt appears on the control panel:

[You have been attacked by a vengeful spirit. You are losing 10 mana points per second. Once your mana reaches zero, you are losing 100 health points per second. Reaching zero health results in death.]

Lin Yu glanced at his mana, which had dropped from 190 to 180 in just one second. As for his health, he only had 200 points at level 2!

Lin Yu's face turned deathly pale.

The ghostly thing on my shoulder must be a vengeful spirit. It's devouring my mana, and after it's finished, it's going to devour my life points!

In an instant, Lin Yu's gaze turned fierce and sharp. Without saying a word, he swung his blue stone sword and slashed at the vengeful spirit on his shoulder.
