Chapter 7 Muddy the Waters

Lin Yu felt immense pressure; with his mana depleted, he feared he wouldn't be able to protect the item.

Hand it over?

Lin Yu immediately rejected the idea.

Putting aside whether these people would let him go after getting the prop, Lin Yu didn't want to hand it over just because of its effects.

Name: Fierce Bow.

Type: Weapon.

Effects: 1. Fierce: When an arrow is fired, it gains an additional 20% speed and 10% penetration.

2. Double Shot: Each arrow fired adds one layer of Rage. When the Rage stacks to 5 layers, two Rage Arrows are generated and can be fired simultaneously.

Rating: 1 star.

It's certain that this fierce bow is far more effective than an archer's longbow. Giving it to him would be tantamount to feeding the enemy.

With this in mind, Lin Yu had made his decision.

Before this, Lin Yu tried to use the Sword Spirit Technique, but failed. It seems that he really can only devour sword-type weapons.

What a pity.

Seeing that Lin Yu had not made a move, the archer sneered: "What? Still trying to put up a stubborn resistance?"

The energy transformed into an arrow, which landed in his hand. He then drew his bow, nocked the arrow, and aimed the tip directly at Lin Yu's chest.

"This arrow will severely injure you, even if you don't die. So, are you still going to put up a fight?" the archer asked coldly.

Lin Yu sighed and said, "Alright, here you go."

With that, he threw the Fierce Bow with all his might.

The small, exquisite bow instantly soared into the sky, passing over the heads of the group, flying further and further away, and finally fell into the bushes in the distance with a thud.

"Lin Yu, you son of a bitch!"

The archer's face twitched, filled with anger and fury. He released the arrow and shot it toward Lin Yu.

As if he had been prepared, the moment Gang Lie threw the bow, Lin Yu suddenly lunged to the side, narrowly dodging the arrow.

"Bang!"

Lin Yu's head deliberately slammed into a giant circular shield, leaving him dazed and disoriented, a testament to the force he had exerted.

The shield-bearer staggered back a few steps, his arm slightly numb. A gap was forcibly opened in the encirclement, and Lin Yu took the opportunity to rush out.

"Trying to leave?" A loud shout came from behind, followed by the howling of the wind.

A sickle slashed diagonally, and Lin Yu dodged it by sidestepping. Then an iron rod came straight at him with great force. Lin Yu couldn't dodge in time, so he quickly pulled a sturdy boy to block it for him.

sturdy boy: "!!!"

He winced in pain and glared at Lin Yu.

Lin Yu looked completely innocent; it wasn't him who hit him.

Take this opportunity to escape the encirclement.

Archers and their men were hot on his heels, and Lin Yu ran as fast as he could without delay.

...

A hundred meters away, two men and a woman were walking through the bushes.

"Xiao Ran, are you sure that golden rabbit just went in here?" a refined-looking boy wearing gold-rimmed glasses asked.

The person being questioned was a pretty girl named Wang Xiaoran. She was wearing a light blue pleated skirt with lace trim, and her voice was sweet and gentle as she spoke:

"Yes, I'm sure."

The bespectacled man nodded: "Then let's keep looking, what do you say, Bai Long?"

He looked at the boy on the other side, who was holding a long gun and had a serious expression.

Bai Long gave a faint "hmm".

As they were groping around, something seemed to fly down from above and landed right at their feet with a "thud".

Upon closer inspection, they saw a small, exquisite bow with a neatly shaped pig's head sticking out in the center.

"Is this a prop?"

Wang Xiaoran picked up the bow with suspicion, checked the prop description, and stared wide-eyed.

"It's not just a prop, it's a prop of quite good quality."

"Really? Let me see."

The bespectacled man snatched the prop from the girl's hand, abandoning his previous politeness, and immediately laughed:

"I never expected that something like props would fall from the sky!"

"If neither of you has any objections, this prop is mine."

“This.” Wang Xiaoran hesitated, and Bai Long also frowned and looked over.

The bespectacled man patiently explained:

"You should know that as a mage, I rely heavily on items and equipment. If I sell this item and replace it with something more suitable for me, my combat power will definitely increase significantly."

"Then we'll be able to kill even more monsters, and you'll benefit from it too, won't you?"

Bai Long remained unsmiling and said calmly, "I have no objection."

Wang Xiaoran thought for a moment and said, "But what if someone accidentally lost it? Would it be wrong for us to just keep it for ourselves?"

The bespectacled man shook his head: "There's no need to worry. There's no name on this prop, so it's no use even if the owner comes looking for it. If I say it's mine, then it's mine."

At that moment, a rustling sound came from the bushes.

The group looked over and saw a young man rushing towards them. He had sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes and was quite handsome, but he looked a bit disheveled.

He seemed to be searching for something, and finally his gaze landed directly on the bow.

The bespectacled man frowned: "Friend, it's very impolite to keep staring at other people's props like that."

Lin Yu raised an eyebrow. Had they found a treasure but didn't want to acknowledge it?

Just as they were pondering, a rustling sound came from the bushes again, and the archers were chasing after them.

Lin Yu gave up on demanding anything from them. Instead, he had a sudden inspiration, pointed at the pursuing archers, and sneered:

"Do you know who he is? My boss! A noble archer!"

"The Fierce Bow in your hand is his tool. If you know what's good for you, hand it over, or I'll kill you!"

Lin Yu rattled off his words at an astonishing speed, finally managing to get them out before the archers arrived, and then ran off.
