Chapter 71 Agility Stat Allocation, Undead Assault

Lin Yu's heart froze.

"Blood eyes, so many of them." These few words alone give off an extremely eerie feeling, and coupled with the gruesome state of the person before death, it makes one even more uneasy.

Now, that unpleasant feeling is becoming increasingly clear.

Lin Yu gazed ahead, wondering what kind of monster lurked deep within the jungle.

After some hesitation, Lin Yu ultimately did not heed the man's dying advice and decided to go and find out what was going on.

Black Hair Boiling is hard to find. Now, Lin Yu seems to be approaching another kind of monster, either skilled in agility or mental strength.

This monster is both dangerous and an opportunity, and Lin Yu is unwilling to let it go.

Lin Yu moved forward cautiously, not daring to be careless, ready to activate all his trump cards at any time.

After walking a few dozen steps, everything seemed normal, and the surroundings were exceptionally quiet, but the quieter it was, the more uneasy one felt.

Lin Yu continued forward and saw bloodstains on the ground. As he walked further, he was horrified.

Something bloody was hanging on the tree; upon closer inspection, it was clearly a human skin.

Not just this tree, but many other trees also have this problem, but they are all withered and wrinkled, clearly indicating that they have been there for quite some time.

Trees, human skin.

Lin Yu felt dizzy and uncomfortable seeing this scene.

Fortunately, the Yin-Yang Jade responded immediately, emitting a soft white light that eliminated the dizziness.

Just then, a sharp whooshing sound rang out above Lin Yu's head, approaching in an instant.

Lin Yu looked up and saw a jet-black spider, as big as a washbasin, leaping down from the treetop above.

Its eyes were bloodshot, its mouth was open, revealing sharp mandibles, and its eight claws were like eight spears, stabbing towards Lin Yu's head.

The speed was incredibly fast! Before Lin Yu could react, the eight claws were already upon him, viciously stabbing down.

At that moment, a transparent shield appeared around Lin Yu, triggering the Mirror of Protection effect.

However, with a "rip," the shield was mercilessly torn open and shattered.

The spider came too fast and too fiercely. Clearly, it was extremely agile, and its extreme speed amplified the power of its attack.

Seeing the shield being torn apart, Lin Yu had an idea:

Could it be trying to use the same method to peel off my skin?

"Clang!" Lin Yu drew his sword. Although the shield failed to block, it bought him some time.

The Shattered Star Sword unleashed a torrent of sword energy, yet failed to strike the spider. It flew back, and upon closer inspection, a silken thread was visible on its body, pulling it back.

This was the first time Lin Yu had encountered such a troublesome monster. He quickly regained his composure and slashed at it with a sword wheel.

At the same time, Lin Yu launched an investigation into him:

Name/Occupation: Blood-Eyed Spider.

Level: LV: 10. (Strength +100, Agility +300, Defense +30, Spirit +100, Health +800.)

Mana: 1200/1200.

Skill: Unknown.

With an agility of 300, it is truly terrifying; it even managed to dodge the sword wheel's slash.

However, it could dodge the first time, but it couldn't dodge the second time; the sword wheel spun around and struck it.

"Pfft!" The Blood-Eyed Spider exploded and turned into energy that floated into Lin Yu's body.

Lin Yu felt his body becoming increasingly agile, and the control panel displayed a notification: [Agility +1.]

"Not bad." Lin Yu smiled, but then his smile faded.

Without a sound, a large net fell from above his head. Then, the tree canopy shook, and spiders leaped down from it, attacking Lin Yu with a whooshing sound.

At a glance, there were at least a hundred!

"Holy crap!" Lin Yu exclaimed, his scalp tingling. He finally understood what the man meant by "a lot"—it really was a lot!

Lin Yu hurriedly manipulated his sword wheel to cleave the falling net, then retreated rapidly.

However, Lin Yu's speed was negligible compared to the swarm of spiders, and he was surrounded in an instant.

Claws, like spears, pierced his body from all sides, while a large net descended from above.

"Clang!" The green stone sword was drawn, unleashing an unprecedentedly terrifying sword wheel, as dazzling as stars.

Lin Yu couldn't care less about anything else. If he didn't unleash his full power now, would he be waiting to go home for the New Year?

"Pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft!" The sword wheel rolled over, and one spider after another exploded. Lin Yu danced with both swords to resist the spiders' attacks. The battle was extremely fierce.

Of course, that's from the spider's perspective; Lin Yu was actually unaffected.

A few spiders swiftly approached him, their claws piercing his skin. His skin caved in, but it was exceptionally resilient and was not pierced.

With his own 400 points of defense, plus the 100 points amplified by the Demon Cloak and the 100 points of defense from the Guardian Mirror, Lin Yu's skin was almost impervious to blades and spears.

To be honest, I've never felt this way before.

"As a swordsman, I occasionally act as a meat shield, hehehe! If you can't kill me, then you'd better wait to be killed by me!"

Lin Yu chuckled, looking just like a villain. The originally ferocious Blood-Eyed Spider had become a tiny insect to be tormented at will in his hands.

Okay, big bug.

"Pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft!" Lin Yu swung his sword repeatedly, the sword wheel sweeping across the air, annihilating all the remaining spiders.

The dense, almost tangible black energy surged into his body, strengthening him.

Agility +1 +1 +1 +1 + ...

In this one move, Lin Yu's agility reached 251, it was incredibly satisfying!

Lin Yu wanted to do a few more rounds, but unfortunately, his mana was depleted again. It hadn't been long since then, and his mana hadn't fully recovered.
