Chapter 81 Going to Sea

"Ah Jie." Lin Yu walked over and greeted him with a smile, his expression showing no unusual behavior.

In fact, Lin Yu had already had his suspicions.

Do you remember those people he saved from the baboons, who died one after another and became Wang Lin?

Lin Yu saw the figures of those people among the dead, but he couldn't find A-Jie.

He was the only one who survived, and that alone is very suspicious.

Upon hearing Lin Yu's greeting, A-Jie's expression faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered, revealing a mixture of admiration and gratitude.

He smiled and said:

"Lin Yu, you saved us twice. You left in such a hurry before that we didn't have a chance to thank you properly."

Lin Yu waved his hand: "There's nothing to thank me for. We're all entering the secret realm together, so helping each other is only right."

"By the way, where is everyone else?" Lin Yu asked casually.

Ah Jie sighed deeply, his face filled with sorrow, and said:

"They're all dead!"

"After you left, another black baboon came and chased after us."

"We had no choice but to split up and run away. I was lucky enough to survive, but they..."

The sadness in Ah Jie's eyes was impossible to hide:

"Is it likely that things will turn out badly?"

"To my shame, Brother Lin, you saved us twice, but we were ultimately too weak, and only I survived."

Lin Yu nodded, a look of regret on his face:

"Please accept my condolences." After saying this, Lin Yu ignored the other person.

Ah Jie realized that Lin Yu probably had some suspicions about him.

He was not surprised by this.

Unfortunately, Lin Yu happened to see me controlling the undead.

But it seems that Lin Yu only had doubts and couldn't be sure, since apart from the fact that he survived, he didn't reveal any other flaws.

Therefore, A-Jie wasn't too worried. Without any evidence, what reason would Lin Yu have to harm him in front of everyone?

Besides, even if it's really confirmed, what can Lin Yu do to him?

Putting aside the fact that Lin Yu has something on him, just considering their strength, does he really think he's afraid of Lin Yu?

Lin Yu's suspicions only increased at this moment.

According to A-Jie's explanation, all his teammates died at the hands of the baboons, and he was the only one who survived.

And the corpses of his teammates were all turned into undead. He first escaped the baboons and then the necromancer. How likely is that?

The other party was very likely the necromancer who had attacked him, and Lin Yu planned to take action against him when no one was around.

But not now.

If the other party becomes desperate and reveals his secrets in public, he will be in a very passive position.

Putting everything else aside, the fact that the matter of killing Song Tianhuo was leaked would be anything but good for him.

Lin Yu returned to his rest area, where many people still came over, wanting to get on his good side, especially now that Song Tianhuo's faction was not around, so he didn't have to worry about offending them.

Lin Yu waved wearily, suddenly realizing that dealing with people is really tiring, especially dealing with groups of people.

With that energy, you might as well go fight monsters.

Lin Yu spoke up, saying he wanted to rest and kindly advised them to speak more quietly.

The campfire died down, and Lin Yu lay silently on the beach, which was covered with branches and leaves and shaped like a bed, as if he had fallen asleep.

Wang Xiaoran and Gao Yang have also stopped making any moves.

The three had agreed to take turns on night watch, with one person always being awake. Wang Xiaoran volunteered, wanting to go to sleep first and take the second half of the night watch.

Gao Yang thought for a moment and said, "Then I'll go in the middle of the night."

Lin Yu was on duty for the first half of the night, and so he lay there with his eyes open for three hours.

During this period, nothing unusual happened. To Lin Yu's surprise, A-Jie was very well-behaved. He didn't even move his position, nor did he control any undead to assassinate him.

That's about it.

Lin Yu reached out and patted Gao Yang's forehead to wake him up, and was just about to lie down and go to sleep.

Um?

Lin Yu noticed something unusual: a chubby boy was lying on the ground, acting suspiciously, not asleep yet, and occasionally looking up in one direction.

He looked as if he were gazing at the sea, with a worried expression.

After observing him for a while, Lin Yu dispelled his doubts and then glanced at A-Jie.

The other party is very calm and has not made any unusual moves so far.

Does he know I'm suspicious of him?

Lin Yu didn't think much of it and went straight to sleep.

Gao Yang was dizzy, his eyes wide open, overcome by sleepiness. He managed to stay awake for three hours before waking Wang Xiaoran.

Wang Xiaoran stayed up until the sky began to lighten and the sun was about to rise above the horizon. Seeing that Lin Yu and Gao Yang were still fast asleep, she stayed up a little longer.

As dawn broke and sunlight shone down, everyone gradually woke up and stood up.

"A new day, a new journey!" someone shouted at the sun.

Lin Yu and Gao Yang woke up one after another. The three of them, along with Wang Xiaoran, washed their faces with purified water and rinsed their mouths. To outsiders, this was simply extravagant and wasteful!

On this island, fresh water is undoubtedly a scarce resource. Some people didn't bring enough water, so they didn't even dare to drink much, let alone wash their faces.

Some people also exchange the monsters they kill for water.

However, for Lin Yu and his group, water was not a problem at all. Someone had taken great kindness and risked their life to give them a large amount of purified water and food. It was already considered very frugal that they didn't use it to wash their feet.

Just then, the chubby boy from last night walked over with dark circles under his eyes, clearly having not slept well.

"It's been all night, why haven't Miss Chu and the others come back yet?" the chubby boy asked anxiously.

Some people say:

"Has something happened?"

The chubby boy remained silent, his fists clenching unconsciously.
