Finally, after walking for a while, a deafening roar of a beast came from ahead:
"Wow!"
Even with Lin Yu's current defenses, his eardrums were starting to feel the strain, demonstrating the power of the beast's roar.
Through the intertwined vines ahead, Lin Yu saw that a group of five people, three men and two women, were being chased by a 3-meter-tall baboon with black hair as sharp as steel needles, and were fleeing in a sorry state.
"Wow!"
The baboon let out a roar, the sound waves rolling, and the five people covered their ears at the same time, their faces showing extreme pain, and trickles of blood seeped from their ears.
A girl, pale-faced, collapsed to the ground, her weapons falling from her hands.
As you can see, behind her, there is a bloody mess; huge claw marks have torn her flesh open, revealing the bone.
The others were also injured to varying degrees, struggling to hold on. Some tried to escape, but were punched to the ground by the baboon, their chests caved in.
"Such powerful strength!" Lin Yu was secretly shocked.
Lin Yu was about to make a move, but before he did, he should first understand the specifics of the monster.
The electronic eye on Lin Yu's shoulder spun around, and the results of its investigation were in:
Name/Occupation: Black-haired baboon.
Level: LV12. (Strength +240, Agility +120, Defense +80, Spirit +80, Health +120.)
Mana: 799/1200.
Skill: Unknown.
As expected, the black baboon's forte is indeed strength. An ordinary person would definitely have broken bones and tendons if hit by one punch, and would probably be dead after a few more punches.
Lin Yu was confident that with his current defense, he should be fine after taking a few punches.
However, it seems unlikely that opportunity will come.
"Whoosh!" A sword wheel slashed through the air.
The baboon was baring its teeth and claws, trying to pounce on the girl who had fallen to the ground; the girl was filled with despair.
The sword wheel slashed through, splitting the baboon in two.
Energy overflowed and surged into Lin Yu's body, and Lin Yu clearly felt that his strength had increased.
The control panel displays the following message: [Strength +4.]
Lin Yu nodded, quite satisfied with the increase in strength.
The men and women were all shocked at this moment, and it took them a few seconds to realize that they were saved!
Someone killed this monster, a level 12 black-haired baboon, whose strength was terrifying. Even the five of them working together were no match for it, and it was easily killed by that person!
That's amazing!
The group looked around, trying to see who had saved them, but all they could see was a receding figure; Lin Yu was gone.
"Thank you for saving us!" the group shouted, but received no response.
To the person who made the move, it seemed like they had done something completely ordinary, which made the others admire them even more.
"I feel like I've seen that person before," a girl muttered to herself.
"She does look familiar." One of the boys nodded, trying hard to recall.
"That sword wheel... I feel like I've seen it somewhere before. That's right! Lin Yu, that looks like Lin Yu's skill!"
The group exchanged glances, then stood in solemn respect.
Unexpectedly, the one who saved them was such a monstrous figure. No wonder he could kill the black-haired baboon in one move!
"He's so strong!" the group exclaimed.
Lin Yu was unaware of these things. He searched all the way, hoping to find the black-haired baboon again, but unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.
No matter how hard he searched, he couldn't find a trace of the black-haired baboon. The forest was quiet, and he could no longer hear any animal roars.
That's very strange. In such a large jungle, there couldn't possibly be only one baboon.
So, where did the baboon go?
Lin Yu was puzzled and couldn't think of a better solution for a while, so he continued to delve deeper.
The jungle became increasingly quiet, the trees were exceptionally lush, and the scene was thriving, but for some reason, Lin Yu had a bad feeling.
Suddenly, cries for help came from ahead:
"Help! Someone, please save me!"
Holding the Shattered Star Sword, Lin Yu calmly walked towards the source of the sound, his other hand already gripping the Green Stone Sword, ready to draw it at any moment.
The voice gradually weakened from its initial urgency.
As the distance closed, Lin Yu could finally see clearly that the one calling for help was a figure covered in blood and flesh, without skin, which at first glance looked like a vengeful ghost from a movie.
Lin Yu was about to kill it with a single sword strike when he sensed something was wrong and began to investigate it:
[Name/Occupation: Carpenter. Level: LV: 6...]
Lin Yu was surprised; it was obvious that this was someone who had entered the secret realm with him.
Then, he was horrified. What had this person gone through?
Lin Yu looked around to make sure there were no other creatures before walking towards the person:
"What happened?" Lin Yu asked in a deep voice.
"Help, save me!" The man cried out weakly, but he didn't want to die. He looked at Lin Yu and pleaded desperately.
Lin Yu shook his head. This person didn't even have any skin left, how could he possibly be saved? Even if a priest came, he probably wouldn't be able to save his life.
“I’m sorry, I can’t help you. Tell me who did this to you, and maybe I can help you kill it,” Lin Yu said.
The man was in despair, tears of blood streaming from his eyes. Before he died, he spoke:
"Don't go over there, Blood Eye! There are so many of them!"
After he finished speaking, the man fell completely lifeless.
