Chapter 1011 [Observation] His memory is completely unreliable.

Chapter 1011 [Observation] His memory is completely unreliable.

Christie's vision blurred for a moment, and then she was released by her husband.

He glanced around at his surroundings.

The surrounding area is overgrown with shrubs and other plants besides trees, with faint rays of light flowing through the gaps between the trees.

“This is…” Christie glanced at the wooden house not far away.

“This is the Radiant Forest, which is very close to Lyriad.” The man calmly took over his words and walked towards the cabin first.

Christie followed closely behind.

As soon as the door was opened, a still somewhat childish but joyful voice came from inside.

"Sir! You've come to see me!"

Christie turned her head and a boy instantly came into view.

The other person looked a little younger than him, with the same blond hair, but with scarlet eyes. The gauze wrapped around his head covered his left eye, but that didn't affect his bright smile.

Christie's gaze moved downwards and landed on his leg, which had been sawed off in half.

His legs were sawed off at the knees, leaving only his thighs.

Is this the sixteenth prince, the most favored by the former king of Lyryd?

Christie was somewhat surprised, but then she understood.

Before vying for the throne, the most important thing is naturally to get rid of the most favored prince, regardless of whether he has the ability to inherit the throne.

Calvin ignored Christie's scrutiny and instead sat still, reaching out to the gentleman for a hug.

"Sir~ Hug me, hug me~"

The man stood there looking at him for a few seconds before stepping forward, picking him up, patting his back, and turning to sit down in a chair.

Christie blinked and sat down next to him.

Calvin nestled in his husband's arms, wrapped his arms around his neck, swung his half-length leg, and grinned at Christie, "What's your name?"

"Christie."

Christie chuckled in response.

"Oh, you're the Crown Prince of Celitia?" Calvin looked him over in surprise, then changed the subject with a grin, "My name is Calvin."

Christie nodded in response to his previous question, and then, upon hearing that familiar name, a slight twitch appeared on his lips.

Calvin looked at Christie, and after a moment of silence, he said, "Are you investigating me?"

Christie paused for a moment, then said, "...I guess so."

“I knew it!” Calvin puffed out his cheeks and chirped directly in front of him. “The gentleman’s memory is completely unreliable. He’ll forget my name in the next second, let alone suddenly come to see me. It must be something else that made him suddenly remember me.”

Christie nodded in agreement.

In an instant, their gazes met with a hint of shared misery.

Calvin looked up at his dozing-off master and suddenly yelled, "Sir!"

The man tilted his head and rested it directly on Christie's head.

Christie: "..."

My head suddenly felt very heavy.

Calvin blinked, shrugged as if in exasperation, and called out again, "Sir."

"Hmm?" The man pulled his head back, his sleepiness lessening, and reached out to pat Calvin's head.

Calvin seized the opportunity to grab his hand and said sweetly, "Sir, I took a look, and the flower field in the center of the Radiant Forest is the most beautiful. I want to bury myself there later~"

"Um."

Receiving a response, Calvin chuckled, released his hand, and then leaned closer to Christie, blinking his scarlet eyes. "Christie, can I ask you for a favor?"

Christie looked at him for two seconds, then smiled gently and said, "Go on."

"A month from now, could you remind your husband to come and collect my body?"

With that, Calvin gave a shy smile and explained to Christie, "My lifespan was taken away by my older brother a year ago, and now I only have one month left to live. I'm afraid you might not remember, so I'd like to ask you to remind me when the time comes."

Christie glanced at the man subconsciously, but seeing that he remained calm and composed, she looked back at Calvin and nodded, "Okay."

Calvin smiled and said sincerely, "Thank you."

...

Before Christie and her husband left, they looked back and saw Calvin waving at them with a bright smile. Toys made by Calvin were displayed around the house.

The toy's material... Christie recognized it; it was the same wild beasts her husband had taken her to hunt in the fluorescent forest.

A month passed just like that.

Christie remembered her promise to Calvin, so she got up to go find him.

"Sir, we should head over to Calvin's place."

Christie looked at the man who was leisurely yawning.

He hummed in agreement, then got up and led Christie to the cabin in the Flowing Light Forest.

Calvin was nestled in the chair, looking serene, as if he were simply asleep.

The man remained calm, walked over, picked him up, and the moment they left the house, the house vanished, leaving only an empty space.

They came to the field of flowers Calvin had mentioned and buried him in the center of it.

Christie watched quietly from the side.

He hadn't mentioned the flower field yet, but the gentleman brought them over.

He actually remembers, right?

After the two left, the wind blew and the flowers swayed, and several butterflies frolicked among the flowers. It looked exactly the same as before.

...

Christie felt that the man's memory was sometimes good and sometimes bad.

Sure enough, his memory was completely unreliable.

"Sir, we are going to the Dita family's house today, not the Natati family's house."

Christie looked up at the plaque, glanced at the gentleman beside her with a hint of speechlessness, and said.

The man paused for a moment, gently pinched his chin and thought for two seconds, then turned to meet Christie's gaze. "Where is Natati's house?"

Christie: "..."

I can't stand it.

But they still obediently provided the location.JPG
