Chapter 14 Qin-chan, You're Bullying a Minor!

Chapter 14 Qin-chan, You're Bullying a Minor!

The air pressure around Gin seemed to be getting lower and lower, as if he had ice cubes inside him, making him unbearably cold. Vodka and Chianti, who were standing nearby, quietly moved away.

Bertrand glanced at him dismissively, and even whispered loudly to Vermouth, "Looks like she's a portable air conditioner, huh? Looks like as long as Koto-chan is around in the summer, there's no need to worry about getting hot~!"

"Pfft—hahahahahahahahahaha—"

Vermouth held back for a moment, but two seconds later she burst out laughing and waved at Gin without much apology, indicating that she really couldn't hold back anymore.

Chianti, standing next to her, couldn't help but laugh so hard her shoulders were shaking, but she tried her best to hold back her laughter.

Vodka was in a worse situation. He didn't dare to laugh or lower his head for fear of being misunderstood by his older brother. He also had to try his best to keep a straight face so as not to give himself away.

Gin's face darkened, his hand gripping the gun clenched and unclenched repeatedly, his gaze fixed menacingly on the boy nestled in the blonde beauty's arms, a boy whose trembling body betrayed him. In the end, he silently put the gun back in his pocket, then subconsciously took out a cigarette case, lit it, and was about to put it in his mouth.

Just before he lit the lighter, his hand paused slightly. He glanced at the underage boy, then expressionlessly put the lighter cap back on. Turning to the large wad of vodka, he said in a cold and uncompromising tone, "You're coming with me to the training room."

Vodka's eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses, were filled with bewilderment and shock: "..."

ah? ? ?

Why is he always the one who gets hurt?

I hugged my big but pitiful self with heartache.

Bertrand leaned against Vermouth's chest, and upon hearing this, she immediately raised her head, turning her head in confusion to look at the two of them as they entered the training room one after the other. Her tone was full of surprise, "Oh my god~! So it was Fuku-chan who made Koto-chan angry! Unbelievable!"

Vodka was on the verge of tears: "..."

You are clearly the culprit!

You disappeared for a month without replying to a single message, and now you dare to tease your older brother!

But why was he the one who got beaten up?

Vodka inwardly groaned, but outwardly remained composed as he followed Gin into the training room attached to the safe house.

Bertrand blinked his bright, clear eyes, then turned and started chatting with the three people still present. The scene was warm, harmonious, and joyful, a stark contrast to the soundproof training room.

"So where have you been for the past month? There hasn't been a single word from you. You don't even know, that person almost sent the organization to look for you." Chianti, wearing headphones, looked at the silver-haired boy who had taken a bunch of snacks out of the cabinet and started munching on them with a mixture of curiosity and doubt.

The silver-haired boy before her was codenamed "Petrand" within the organization. Eight years ago, he was suddenly taken back to the organization by that adult and entrusted to Gin as his guardian. As for his name, "Kurosawa," it was something he suddenly decided on a whim. In fact, very few people within the organization knew the boy's real name; even his guardian, Gin, only addressed him by his codename.

The boy seemed well-protected; within this dark and sinister criminal organization, he possessed an innocence and liveliness unlike any of the other members. Another child raised within the organization—Shirley—had already displayed maturity and composure at his age. Only this little guy remained consistently playful, mischievous, and prone to sleeping.

Chianti and Cohen became somewhat familiar with the young boy because they often went on missions with Gin, and Bertrand also frequently went along to "watch the fun."

However, after getting to know him better, they learned about some of the boy's personality traits and behaviors that were completely inconsistent with his appearance.

—This is actually an extremely wicked demon who loves to do all sorts of bad things but never thinks he's done anything wrong.

While leisurely munching on crunchy potato chips, Bertrand paused upon hearing her words. He tilted his head, thought for a moment, swallowed his food, and then replied in a hesitant, halting voice, "Actually, I don't know either."

Chianti raised an eyebrow: "?"

Vermouth hummed in response, gently pinching the soft flesh of Bertrand's cheek. "What did you do that you don't want to tell us?"

Bertrand shook his head, holding a potato chip between his fingers. "No, I really don't know where I've been for the past month, or what I've been doing. I only realized a month had passed after I suddenly saw the message."

Who would believe it if someone said a month had passed in the blink of an eye?

So he's not lying~ So be careful not to falsely accuse him.

It was clear the boy wasn't lying, so Vermouth frowned slightly, then subtly relaxed her grip. She ruffled the boy's slightly cool hair and said, "If you don't know, you don't know. It's good that you're alright."

Bertrand chuckled twice, squinted his eyes, and nodded happily.

After chatting for another ten minutes or so, the door to the training room opened. Although Gin's expression still didn't reveal any emotion, the oppressive aura around him had completely dissipated, and he returned to the living room feeling relaxed.

But Vodka's situation wasn't so easy. His body, hidden by his clothes, was covered in bruises from the beating, but he had to act like nothing was wrong and even pour drinks for his older brother.

Bertrand cast a sympathetic glance at the vodka pouring Gin for Gin for three seconds, then quickly composed himself and turned to Gin, asking, "Hey Gin-chan, what did you call me here for?"

"Hmph, what happened a month ago is long over." Gin took a sip of his drink and sneered.

After a brief moment of thought, Bertrand's eyes lit up instantly. "Wow, can I leave now?"

Gin glanced at the expectant boy, and the cold smile on his lips became even more pronounced. "Dream on. Just because that matter is over doesn't mean there aren't other tasks for you."

"..." With a pout, Bertrand opened a new bag of potato chips and started eating. "Qin-chan, you're bullying a minor. How can you assign me so many tasks?"

Gin was silent for a moment.

Are there many tasks for him?

Gin was somewhat speechless that he only assigned Bertrand a task every month or two.

Bertrand chuckled, swinging one leg. "Okay, what kind of mission is it? I won't do anything too strenuous~ Of course, interesting ones will be given priority~"

The little boy hummed twice and leaned against Vermouth beside him.

“It’s simple, you just need to be a supervisor.” Gin replied expressionlessly, seemingly not wanting to say much more to this little madman, Bertrand.

Bertrand pursed his lips and couldn't help but complain, "Qin-chan, you're so boring."

The latter ignored him.

Bertrand was forced to turn his attention to the task he had mentioned.

"So what kind of mission is it?"
