Chapter 159 The State That Can Become a Specimen

Chapter 159 The State That Can Become a Specimen

When Gin arrived at the observation room, he saw Seeker standing there almost motionless with a fluorescent butterfly on his head, and Bertrand leaning against the wall with his head drooping limply.

He frowned, his eyes questioning Seeker.

Seeker gave him a helpless look, then looked at Bertrand and called out to him softly.

Bertrand, leaning against the wall, slowly looked up when he heard the sound. His light green eyes were so lifeless they turned dark green. When he saw Gin, his slightly pale lips moved as if he were saying something, but neither of them heard anything.

The poison in his body had not been completely neutralized. Bertrand lowered his eyes, his face pale, and he collapsed.

The moment he fell to the ground, the two of them rushed forward and caught him almost simultaneously.

Sekter glanced at the lifeless baby-faced boy with a complicated expression, then looked at Gin with a hint of doubt in his silver eyes, "You didn't do anything to him, did you?"

Gin pulled the man into his arms, giving him a cold glance. "Why don't you ask him what he did himself?"

Sekter rolled his eyes slightly, then pointed around the observation room, which resembled a laboratory, and said, "Clearly, he's resistant to this environment. If he had really done something himself, the situation just now wouldn't have happened."

"I'm afraid it's more than that." Gin chuckled, glancing at the members who lay sprawled outside the observation room, their fates unknown.

"If you had been there, you might have been one of those lying there."

Gin took the medicine and test report from Seeker and uttered a sarcastic remark without any mercy.

Seekert: "..."

His gaze swept slowly over the members.

Hmm... compared to the damage in the observation room, their wounds look more serious.

That's terrible.

Gin led his men away without looking to either side.

The butterfly that had been resting on Seeker's head suddenly fluttered and followed.

With his arm draped over the doorframe, Seeker looked at the members who were breathing weakly, seemingly alive but not quite, and a hint of guilt forced onto his gloomy, handsome face.

"Ah, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in such a terrible state."

Relieved that he wasn't there, Seeker remarked, then asked a passing member to have them carried away. He yawned, put his hands in the pockets of his white coat, and left the organization's hospital.

After Gin brought the man back to Safe House No. 3, he had just started an IV drip when a crow turned on his monitor.

How is he?

Gin briefly explained the contents of the examination report, and then recounted what had happened at the hospital and his speculations.

Karasuma Renya fell silent after hearing this.

But the eyes of the crow on the screen were flickering.

“Go and look up the little guy’s experiences in the US eight years ago.”

"Yes, Boss."

Gin lowered his eyes slightly and answered respectfully.

The crow on the monitor blinked a few times and then the screen went black.

Inside the underground laboratory of Safe House No. 1.

Karasuma Renya lay on the hospital bed, his pale face making his handsome features appear even more haggard and weak. He wore an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose, and his breathing was shallow.

He glanced at the photo frame on the bedside table, took a deep, slow breath, and then closed his eyes wearily.

If it weren't for the heart monitor next to him still showing his heartbeat, one would have thought he was already in the state to become a specimen of Bertrand.

"My dear readers, don't worry. Although I did have a tiny bit of a thought about running away, I'm usually just rambling on because I'm so annoyed. As long as nothing unexpected happens, I'll keep writing this book. (I'm really afraid some people will send me razor blades.) (Weak and listless.JPG)"

"But to be honest, if everyone drops this story, then I'm really going to run away (shyly)."

"Oh, and another thing is that now I can only see new comments on the author's assistant on the computer, and I'm a lazy bum who's used to typing on my phone (forced smile)."
