Chapter 198 The Mystery of the Ten Rabbits, Part Four

Chapter 198 The Mystery of the Ten Rabbits, Part Four

As he tried to connect the number '8' with ten rabbits, his fingers, which were pinching his eyes, unconsciously began to spin.

An 8 turned upside down...

unlimited?

But what does infinity have to do with ten rabbits...?

Conan's lips twitched, and he put the eye and the note together.

He stared blankly for a while with his half-moon eyes wide open, a tangled mess appearing on his forehead.

"Xiao Chu, have you ever noticed or sensed that someone is watching you? Have you seen any suspicious people around here?"

Ai Haibara suddenly asked.

Ryoko Koide looked confused for a moment, then shook her head decisively after thinking for a while, "Nothing."

The room fell silent.

The Junior Detective League's case for the day was also instantly stalled.

"It's getting late, let's head back," said Kawasaki Machi, picking up his schoolbag first.

The others glanced at the time and said, "Yeah, let's all go home first and continue tomorrow."

Conan picked up the things on the ground, turned to Ryoko Koide, and asked, "Can I take these things for now?"

"Okay, you can take it."

Ryoko Koide nodded, then got up and saw them to the gate.

"Bye-bye, Koide-kun! We'll get it sorted out as soon as possible!" Ayumi grabbed the shoulder strap of her backpack with one hand and waved to Koide Ryoko with the other.

"Bye-bye." Ryoko Koide also raised her hand and waved slightly.

She turned and went back inside. Matsui Yoshiko came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands. She glanced at the pile of shoes in the entryway and asked curiously, "Oh, have all your friends gone home?"

"Hmm, Aunt Matsui, what are we having for dinner tonight?" Ryoko Koide looked up at her, a smile spreading across her cute face.

Yoshiko Matsui raised her index finger and shook it. "It's a secret~ But I promise you'll like it."

"Wow! I can't wait! I need to go back to my room and finish my homework quickly!" Ryoko Koide visibly cheered and ran back to her room after saying that.

Hearing the door close, Yoshiko Matsui, standing in the living room, gazed at the stairwell with a strange, enigmatic smile.

She turned and went back to the kitchen, where several small white rabbits with their necks cut open and blood drained were on the cutting board.

She skillfully plucked the rabbit's fur, then deboned it and cut it into pieces.

The scene of rabbit meat processing looks normal, but when you see the rabbit blood left in the sink and the eerie smile on her face, it looks more like a scene of disposing of a body after a murder.

As Ryoko Koide came downstairs, Yoshiko Matsui had just placed the steaming food on the table. She turned to Ryoko Koide, smiled gently, and said, "Ryoko, dinner's ready. Go wash your hands."

Okay~

...

On the way back, Conan kept thinking about it, but he couldn't figure it out no matter what he did. In the end, he could only sigh helplessly and decided to observe Koide's house again the next day.

the next day.

Aha, the magical time for Detective Conan has arrived!

weekend!

The Junior Detective League reappears at Koide's house.

Yoshiko Matsui was still not there. I heard from Koide that she had other work to do besides taking care of her.

The group wandered around the living room. Yuan Tai accidentally tripped and fell, then opened a drawer on the side, but found only some needles and thread inside. He then pushed the drawer back without a second thought.

"Koide-kun, when were those rabbit plush toys sent to you?" Conan, wearing a baseball cap, looked around the living room and asked Koide Ryoko with his hands in his pockets.
