Chapter 2 Time Reversal

Chapter 2 Time Reversal

After resting for nearly twelve hours, Qianzhu finally woke up.

It is around three or four in the morning.

After washing up, he planned to cook something to fill his empty stomach. He opened the refrigerator and checked to make sure there were some usable ingredients. He took out enough ingredients for one person and slowly prepared them. The only sound in the quiet kitchen was the running water. After a while, he suddenly asked softly, "Where is the original owner?"

01 paused for a moment, then shook its head, seemingly with a hint of sadness. [Although the host's body was reconstructed, it still needs an identity. The original owner relinquished his identity; without it, he couldn't survive in this world. So now… he's probably disappeared.]

Qianzhu paused almost imperceptibly in her hand movements, and at the same time responded with a low murmur.

After filling his empty stomach, Qianzhu opened the system panel and studied all the system's functions. Finally, his gaze fell on the system skills section, specifically the [Time Reversal] skill, which was glowing with a faint white light.

He was a little curious, so he reached out and poked it.

The panel redirects to a new page.

[Time Reversal: System 01's exclusive skill. After using this skill, the user can return to a point in time of their choice through three methods: 'consciousness', 'main body', or 'clone', to change or add events that the host wishes to alter or add. However, this skill currently has limitations; the host can only rewind eight years at present.]

The phrase "can only go back eight years" means that the total time that can be retraced cannot exceed eight years. For example, if you use the rewind function to go back one year, then you have seven years left to go back. It refers to the time, not the number of times.

[Regression through 'consciousness': One's own consciousness returns to their past self, possessing all current memories.]

[Rewinding with the 'Original Body': The user's body returns to the past, resetting the user's age to that of that time, and retaining all memories up to the present.]

[Rewinding with a 'Clone': After obtaining a clone, the host can divide their consciousness into two parts: one part remains in the 'current main body,' and the other part enters the clone to return to the past and control the clone.]

[Note: Event changes caused by using the Rewind skill will alter the current timeline in real time. If the rewind time is long, you can choose to use Speed Up.]

[When the [Mental Link] is active, the memories acquired by the clone can be directly synchronized to the other clones; when it is deactivated, they will not be synchronized. However, regardless of whether it is active or not, the clone's memories will be directly synchronized to the main body.]

Qianzhu rested her chin on her hand, looking at the long string of white text on the panel line by line. Then she lowered her eyelids slightly, seemingly digesting the information. After a moment, she asked softly, "During the time reversal, all the actions of the clone can also be used to obtain emotional points, right?"

System reply: [Yes, during the rewind period, the host's clone will have a subsystem, thus still able to acquire emotion points, use emotion points to exchange for skills, and draw or create alternate accounts, etc. All data will be directly synchronized to the main system, and the host can operate it at any time.]

Qianzhu nodded knowingly, turned to look at 01, and smiled slightly: "Then let's use time reversal now."

01 floated onto his shoulder and asked hesitantly, "[Host, are you sure you want to use the system skill now?]"

“Confirmed. And I will use my clone to go back eight years. Since the main storyline is about to begin, acquiring more emotional points, skills, and aliases in advance is the most advantageous option for me.” Qianzhu spoke with a smile, but her tone was very calm.

[Received, Master.] 01 Understood.

[Ding~ Host selects to use system skill: [Time Reversal] .]

[The host has chosen to use a 'clone' to rewind eight years.]

[Name of clone: Also.]

01: [Host, would you like to use acceleration? If you use acceleration, the clone can complete the mission and return to the current time period within one day.]

"Use it." Qianzhu answered without the slightest hesitation.

Okay.

After the user confirmed the use of the skill, the "Time Rewind" skill immediately went grayed out, with a parenthetical note indicating that it could no longer be used.

Qianzhu narrowed her eyes slightly.

After confirming there were no problems, 01 turned to him and said, "[Host, because of the separation of your consciousness, you should feel a little sleepy right now. Please rest assured and go to sleep. When you wake up, you will find that everything is settled. By the way, Host, to prevent any oversights or accidents on the clone's side, I will go and check on the situation.]"

"good."

Qianzhu nodded, then got up and went back to her room.

After all, he really needs rest given his current condition.

Rebirth and such...

Time flies.

When Qianzhu woke up from his sleep, the sky outside the window was already bright and sunny. He checked the time and learned that it was already noon.

Before doing anything else, Qianzhu sorted through the pile of memories that had suddenly appeared in her mind, and after a long while, she opened the system panel and took a look at them.

The three items—Vest, Skill, and Emotion Value—which were originally zero, have all changed from 1 or 0 to other, more substantial numbers.

After tidying up a bit, he decided to take advantage of the few days before the main storyline began to explore the surrounding area and familiarize himself with this Conan-themed location called 'Beihana Town'.

As he was leaving, 01 popped out, yawning.

During the few days that Chizuru was getting familiar with her surroundings, she happened to meet Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri, and they got along quite well. Although they did most of the talking, they gradually became acquainted and even visited each other's homes.

Until the day the main storyline began—the day Shinichi Kudo went to the tropical amusement park with Ran Mouri, only to be knocked out of Conan time by Gin with a stick.

After a brief moment of thought, Qianzhu immediately donned the alias "Ye," which was the first one he had created, and which inexplicably but naturally made him a member of the distillery and gave him the codename "Petrus."

Then he took 01 and went out the door.

For no other reason than wanting to go out for a stroll.

......

Doropica Paradise.

"Oh dear~ So Qin-chan and Vodka came to ride the roller coaster, but they didn't take me with them. It's so awkward."

A silver-haired boy wearing a brown plaid shirt, khaki jeans, and a white fluffy cat crossbody bag slung over his shoulder stood next to the roller coaster ride. He squinted his light green eyes at the two men in black who were already on the roller coaster and didn't look like good people, muttering to himself.

The moment Qianzhu put on this disguise, she switched her personality to the one that had been set for her.

01 indicates shock.

If it didn't know that its host was actually a composer and pianist in his previous life, it would have thought he was actually an actor.

"Forget it, let's go play somewhere else~" He took out a sour lemon candy from his bag, put it in his mouth, and happily skipped over to other rides to experience the fun.

Then he got so caught up in the fun that he almost missed a plot point.

Around 8 or 9 p.m., a high school detective saw the suspicious man in black he had encountered at the roller coaster earlier. He told his childhood friend to go back first and then recklessly chased after him.

Ran Mouri wanted to follow, but her shoelaces were broken so badly that she couldn't run with any big movements.

Watching the figure disappear into the darkness in the distance, Ran Mouri looked somewhat dazed, a very bad premonition rising in her heart for no apparent reason.

Unbeknownst to her, the wheel of fate had already begun to turn at that very moment.

Of course, it's the kind of thing where other wheels break.

"Oh dear, we're about to get into the main storyline."

The silver-haired, green-eyed boy peeked out from behind a nearby building, glanced in the direction where Shinichi Kudo had disappeared, then walked over to Ran Mouri, who was still in a daze, and tilted his head, looking at her curiously, and asked, "Sister, was that your boyfriend just now?"

Ran Mouri: Huh?

She immediately launched into a three-part attack, her eyes red and her face steaming: "No! No way! That guy isn't my boyfriend!"

"Eh~? So that's not it? No wonder, after all, he actually left the girl here alone and ran off first." The boy put his hands on his hips and tilted his head, looking very confused, but actually there was a wicked smile in his eyes.

"He must have suddenly had an emergency." Ran Mouri snapped out of her daze, her face slightly flushed as she looked at the silver-haired, green-eyed boy beside her. She first defended Shinichi Kudo, then asked the boy who had suddenly appeared, "By the way, may I ask who you are?"

The boy blinked, his eyes darting around as if he were thinking of some mischievous idea. Two seconds later, he gave a smile so cute it could melt anyone's heart and replied, "My name is Kurosawa. It's quite a coincidence that we met today, so you can just call me Kouya~ Actually, I just saw that older brother run away first, and you were all alone, so I came over to check on you."

"Oh, I see. My name is Ran Mouri. It's nice to meet you." Ran Mouri nodded knowingly and smiled innocently at him.

Kurosawa nodded in agreement, then looked down at Ran Mouri's strangely broken shoelace. He clicked his tongue in surprise, then looked up with a worried expression. "Ran-neechan, why did your shoelace break? It's not easy to walk like this. Wait for me!"

As he spoke, he lowered his head and rummaged through his bag for something.

"Huh?" Ran Mouri looked at him in confusion, then saw him take a rope out of his bag.

“Okay, this rope can temporarily replace the shoelaces~” Kurosawa said, twirling the thin white rope.

"Thank you, Xiaoye." Ran Mouri smiled, took the rope he handed her, and was about to squat down when he called her back.

Kurosawa also pointed to a chair not far away, "Ran-neechan, let's go there."

"Uh-huh."

After she tied the ropes on her shoes, Kurosawa handed her a lemon candy. "Is Ran-neechan going back now?"

Ran thanked him, took the candy from his hand, glanced at the time, and said, "Well, it's getting late, I should go back."

Although she was very dissatisfied with the detective's actions, she had no choice but to go back now.

"Okay, let's go together then!"

Kurosawa also followed Ran Mouri with a grin and left the park with her.

The two chatted as they walked to the Mouri Detective Agency.

"By the way, how old is Xiaoye this year? He looks so young." Ran Mouri thought of something, put her hands behind her back, and turned her head to look at the cute and youthful-looking boy next to her.

"I'm exactly 15 this year," Kurosawa replied casually, then looked up at the large characters pasted on the glass. "This must be Ran-neechan's house. I'd better hurry back now. Goodbye!"

After saying that, he took a few steps forward, turned around, waved to Ran Mouri, and immediately retreated.

"Huh? Wait..." Ran Mouri was a little confused as she watched the boy disappear in an instant.

Wow, that's really fast...

After rounding the bend, Chizuru, disguised as Kurosawa, stopped running and a wicked smile appeared on her cute face.

"How interesting~ Acting is the most interesting thing." He muttered to himself, seemingly with a hint of something unclear.

[Host is the best!]

A fluffy white ball waved a glow stick on his shoulder, looking just like a die-hard fan.

Qianzhu raised her hand and pinched it, humming an unintelligible tune as she walked towards the Qianye residence. Before she got close to the door, she took off the vest she was wearing.

On the other side.

The protagonist, who shrunk after being given APTX-4869, has successfully proven his identity as Shinichi Kudo to Professor Agasa. Meanwhile, Ran Mouri, who came looking for Shinichi but found that he had not returned home, also arrives at Professor Agasa's house to ask him about Shinichi's situation.

As a result, after discovering that Shinichi Kudo had shrunk, she completely forgot the reason she had come here.

"Huh? Who is this little brother?" Ran Mouri asked curiously as she approached Shinichi Kudo, whose body had shrunk to the age of seven.

After hearing Professor Agasa's warning not to tell anyone about this, and fearing that his childhood friend would recognize him as he looked when he was young, Shinichi Kudo hastily took out a pair of black-rimmed glasses, broke off the lenses, put them on, and then gave himself a new name—Edogawa Conan.

And in the end, they successfully moved into the Mouri Detective Agency.

......

During the rewind period, Qianzhu gained a lot of emotion points and also exchanged for many skills, one of which was [Target Lock].

[Target Lock: This skill can be placed on any target, allowing you to obtain the target's information via text, video, live stream, etc., for a period of three days only. There is no limit to the number of targets that can be placed. If needed, it can be used in conjunction with [Targeted Teleportation], but this combination requires spending Emotion Points.]

Clicking on Ran Mouri's target lock, Chizuru watched as she led the shrunken Shinichi Kudo toward the Mouri Detective Agency. He calmly poured himself another cup of hot tea.

While sipping tea, Qianzhu turned to look at the moon in the sky outside the window, feeling no emotional fluctuation about the upcoming Time Chaos Technique.

The next morning, Chitake encountered Ran Mouri and Conan at the Poirot Cafe downstairs from the Mouri Detective Agency.

"Qianzhu, good morning."

Because Professor Agasa told her that Conan had been living in other places and had only recently arrived, she planned to show him around. Ran Mouri saw Chizuru walking over and greeted him warmly with a smile.

Qianzhu met them on the second day after they transmigrated, and the process was rather strange.

Chizuru, who originally thought she wouldn't meet the protagonist until after the main storyline began, encountered them both on her first outing, right in the same shop and at the same spot. Because of Shinichi Kudo's protagonist status, a robbery happened to occur there, and Chizuru was unfortunately held hostage for a short while by the robber with a knife to her neck.

But with Valkyrie Ran and Shinichi the Grim Reaper watching, one can imagine what fate awaited the robber—

For example, after experiencing Ran Mouri's spinning flying kick, he was unceremoniously invited into the Metropolitan Police Department by Shinichi Kudo, and then happily lived a rather regular and joyful life.

And so, Qianzhu, who was rescued, got to know them in a perfectly reasonable way.

We exchanged contact information in a reasonable way, became friends with them in a reasonable way, and bumped into each other frequently in a reasonable way...

This made perfect sense to Qianzhu, who thought he had somehow become one of the main characters. (?)

I didn't want to know them, but we met anyway.

Slightly moved, Chizuru smiled gently at Ran Mouri, her gaze inadvertently sweeping over the short, stout Conan beside her. She couldn't help but ask with some curiosity, "Good morning, Ran. Who is this little brother?"

"This is the child who is temporarily staying at my house. His name is Conan Edogawa." Ran Mouri first introduced Conan to Chizuru, and then introduced Chizuru to Conan. "And this is Chino Chizuru. Don't let his high school student appearance fool you. He is actually a very talented composer."

After she finished speaking, Chizuru smiled and bent down slightly, raising her hand to gently pat Conan's round head. "Hello little Conan, my name is Chino Chizuru. It's nice to meet you."

Yeah, right.

"Hello, Qianzhu-nii! Just call me Conan!"

Conan put on an innocent smile, outwardly cheerful but inwardly cursing.

Those damned men in black! How dare they turn me into this!!

"Qianzhu... Brother Qianzhu, where are you going?"

Surface: Death acting cute.JPG

Inner monologue: He's a high school detective... Shame on him.JPG

Upon hearing this, Chino gently patted his head. Seeing his frustrated expression, she smiled openly and said, "Yes, I was just about to go to the bookstore."

...

P.S.: I'm not a fan of the original manga, and I don't know much about it, not even the characters' personalities or backstories. I only wrote this Conan fanfic because a friend wanted to see it (I swear it was voluntary). I'll try my best to keep the characters from being out of character (but if they are, then it's my fault).
