Chapter 227 Watching the Show?
Behringer, who was about to retrieve the teddy bear, paused, blinked, and instantly her bright purple eyes lost their luster. Under the puzzled gazes of Conan and Professor Agasa, she walked towards Beika Restaurant.
"Behrfinger!? Where are you going?"
Conan stuck his head out of the window and called out to him, but the other man seemed not to hear him and walked straight into the Beika Hotel.
Conan frowned suddenly, said something to Professor Agasa, opened the car door, jumped out, and ran towards the restaurant.
Behrfinger went to the restroom, quickly changed his clothes and cloak, and put on black gloves and a mask.
He covered his blue hair with his hood and strode towards the wine cellar where Ai Haibara was imprisoned.
When he arrived, Gin and Vodka had already left, but they had actually gone to the roof.
Behringer walked quietly to the fireplace and then stood there motionless.
He may look like a rigid machine, but he's actually having a mental conversation with himself.
Bei: Remember to bring my teddy bear back to me later!
Bai: Okay, okay~ Remember to watch your hair~ It won't be fun if they find out your identity now~
Bei: Okay, honey~
At this moment, Ai Haibara, now back to her original form, climbed onto the roof via the fireplace.
Standing in the shadows, Bertrand's lips curled into a slight smile as he watched Gin shoot her in the shoulder, and then listen to him recite poetry... no, I mean, say something. He couldn't help but bend over and stifle his laughter.
But I still laughed in the end.
The laughter instantly alerted Vodka, who raised his gun and pointed it in his direction. "Who goes there!?"
Bertrand: ...
He pursed his lips unhappily, put his hands on his hips, and stepped out of the shadows, glaring at Vodka. "Wow, Vodka-chan, you're pointing a gun at me!"
Vodka's hand froze for a moment, then he hurriedly and awkwardly put his hands behind his back, chuckling sheepishly.
Bertrand chuckled, breathed warm air on his hand, and ran over to Gin's side. "Ooh~ It's so cold~"
He kept saying how cold it was, but he actually squatted down, grabbed a handful of snow, and made it into a ball.
Gin: ...
"So, what are you doing here? Watching a show?"
Hearing his sinister tone, Bertrand nodded, but his eyes turned excitedly to Sherry, "That's all~ But what are you doing, Koto-chan? Shoot! Shoot!"
Sherry's eyes trembled slightly.
Perhaps she was more afraid of this seemingly innocent little devil than Gin.
Gin clicked his tongue, said no more nonsense, and fired several shots at Sherry.
But whether it was because she might still be useful to the organization, or because some kind of consciousness was at work, none of the shots hit vital organs.
Bertrand glanced at Shirley lying in the snow and secretly pursed his lips. Then he took out a few small butterflies from his bag and put on an innocent and bright smile.
"Hey, Sherry~ Do you want to look at those beautiful butterflies like Akemi-neechan?"
As he spoke, he opened his arms, and several purple butterflies, which seemed to glow with light, fluttered and danced around Shirley, one of them even landing on her shoulder.
It was in the exact same spot as the butterfly that landed on Miyano Akemi's shoulder back then.
Sherry gasped for breath; the cold snow and the burning wounds almost numbed her entire body.
Bertrand tugged at Gin's clothes, his voice filled with a morbid excitement and agitation, "She's so stubborn! Quick, shoot her! Shoot her in the head! The sight of blood splattering in the snow is quite something!"
