Chapter 27: I'm starting to understand Gin a bit better.

Chapter 27: I'm starting to understand Gin a bit better.

After staring at the glass of water on the table for a long time, Bertrand finally picked it up and carefully took a sip.

He smacked his lips, took a piece of candy out of his bag, unwrapped it, and popped it into his mouth. When his gaze fell on Bourbon beside him, he paused for a few seconds and asked, "Do you want some candy?"

Seeing his anxious expression, as if he were afraid the man would nod, Bourbon remained silent for two seconds, then shook his head. "No, you eat it."

Upon hearing this, Bertrand's head immediately lit up with joy. He sat on the high stool, swinging his legs, making no attempt to hide his excitement.

Bourbon shook his head and then poured himself a glass of wine.

Just as I picked up my cup to take a sip, a burning gaze came from beside me.

Bourbon paused, holding his glass, and turned to look at him.

The boy had a candy in his mouth, the orange flavor faintly wafting through the air, and his crystal-clear eyes were fixed on the wine glass in his hand.

The words "want to drink" were practically imprinted in his eyes.

"Minors are not allowed to drink alcohol," he said with a smile.

Bertrand's eyes widened. "Why not! So what if I'm a minor! I want to drink too! I want to drink!"

Before Bourbon could react, he lunged forward to snatch the glass from his hand. But as Bourbon made a blocking motion, he swayed and grabbed the bottle from the table, smiling as he held it in his arms. To prevent Bourbon from taking it back, he immediately slipped away.

Bourbon: "..."

He held the bottle opening to his nose and sniffed. The slightly bitter smell of the liquor instantly filled his nostrils. Bertrand frowned in disgust, but still took out the lollipop and took a sip from the bottle.

After all, he hadn't drunk much alcohol in his previous life due to illness, and even when he did, it was only low-alcohol fruit wine. In this life, he still suffers from illness and is still a minor, so he hasn't touched alcohol either.

While Bertrand's persona was not diseased, he was always forbidden from drinking alcohol by Gin.

But given Bertrand's seemingly naive but actually rebellious nature, the more you forbid him from trying, the more he'll want to try.

Bourbon, who was rushing over, didn't even have time to stop them.

Looking at Bourbon, whose cheeks were already flushed red: "..."

Somehow, he seemed to understand Gin a little better.

Bertrand smacked his lips, then burped, put the orange lollipop back in his mouth, and handed the bottle back to Bourbon.

"It's so bitter, it doesn't taste good at all. It's all your fault for opening this bottle."

Bourbon: ...

You insisted on drinking it yourself!

Bourbon was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the boy in front of him crush the candy in his mouth. Apart from his flushed face, there was nothing wrong with him.

The next second, Bertrand, who had just taken out the candy stick, collapsed straight down.

Bourbon quickly hugged the person.

The golden retriever, holding a person in one arm and a bottle of liquor in the other, suddenly felt a headache coming on.

So, does the host collapse in one gulp, or is it only the pseudonym Bertrand who collapses in one gulp?

01, which was hovering above Bertrand's head, pondered for a moment, then silently expelled the little alcohol remaining from his body.

After glancing at her host, whose fair face was now only slightly flushed, 01 wiped her sweat with her little paws and let out a breath.

01 I got to experience what it's like to take care of a baby.

01 propped her little face up with her hand and smiled happily.

After glancing at the boy who was already fast asleep, Bourbon had no choice but to put the bottle away and carry him to the room, placing him on the bed.
