Chapter 313 Identical Fingerprints
Conan, who had overheard these words, paused in his steps and then lowered his gaze to ponder.
He turned and went to the room where Kita Ayane and Mouri Ran were.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw the two of them chatting and laughing.
Suddenly, the air seemed to be filled with the smell of vinegar.
Hearing the door open, Kita Ayane turned to face the door and paused for a few seconds before turning to the maid beside her. "Percy, take me to the lake."
"Yes, young master." Percy reached out and helped push the wheelchair away.
Ran Mouri stood up worriedly. "Wait a minute, the culprit hasn't been found yet. What if he comes after Aya Kita?"
“It’s alright, I know a little karate,” Percy said softly to Ran Mouri, then pushed the wheelchair toward the lake.
Conan glanced at them, then at Ran Mouri, before turning and following Percy.
Percy stopped at the lakeside and retreated a short distance away.
Listening to the sound of the lake water splashing, Kita Aya tapped her fingertips on the armrest of her wheelchair, making a dull sound.
After a long pause, he suddenly spoke in a detached tone, "Now that you've followed me, what are you planning to do, hiding like this?"
Conan: !
He walked out with his hands in his pockets, looking at Kita Aya Otoko with some curiosity, "How did you know I followed you?"
The boy turned to look at him, his tone indifferent, "What's so strange about that? Don't you know that people who can't see have much more sensitive hearing than normal people?"
As he spoke, he turned his wheelchair to face him, leaning forward slightly. "Did you follow me because you doubt me?"
Conan was taken aback, then calmly replied, "Until the truth comes out, everyone is a suspect to some extent."
"Really? Then you suspect Mr. Mori? Suspect Ms. Mori? Suspect anyone who wasn't there?"
Kita Aya Otogo's series of question marks briefly stunned Conan.
"You're doubting me, perhaps even more than others." The boy leaned back in his wheelchair. "Or are you doubting whether my blindness is real?"
Before Conan could speak, he suddenly raised his hand and removed the blindfold from his eyes, then slowly opened his dull, unfocused eyes.
His eyes flickered, landing on Conan's face. "And now? Do you see?"
Conan suddenly became speechless, unsure of what to say, and felt a complex mix of emotions.
"Just because you're a detective, does that mean you can keep, keep going, disregarding everything, just to solve cases and reopen other people's wounds?" Kita Aya said expressionlessly.
"I know who the murderer is, but I don't want to tell you."
He slowly covered his eyes with the cloth again, turned his head to face the splashing lake water, and said, "I want to see how you, the detective, will find the murderer."
"I'm really looking forward to it, Shinichi Kudo."
Conan's pupils suddenly contracted, and he took a step back, staring incredulously at the indifferent boy before him. "How could you..."
"Is it strange? You can find out by simply looking it up."
Kita Ayane suddenly gave a faint laugh.
Percy, who was some distance away from them, suddenly walked in and handed a document to Conan.
The above content clearly shows the fingerprints he left at the previous murder scene.
"It's quite amazing that Conan Edogawa, who is clearly an elementary school student, has the exact same fingerprints as Shinichi Kudo, the high school detective who disappeared a long time ago." Percy chuckled softly with a slight smile.
