Chapter 36: A Corgi-like Face

Chapter 36: A Corgi-like Face

Startled, Conan immediately turned around to look, and only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it was Chizuru.

Qianzhu frowned slightly. "Conan, children shouldn't watch such gory scenes. They'll have nightmares at night."

He spoke gently on the surface, but in his heart he was thinking: 'Don't even think about solving the case properly until I know you are Shinichi Kudo.'

"It's okay, I'm not scared at all!" Conan smiled innocently.

Qianzhu looked at him suspiciously, but still didn't put him down. Instead, she carried him back to Xiaolan's side and said as she walked, "That won't do either. Your recklessness will hinder the police from solving the case."

"But...but...!"

"Alright, alright, no buts. Just stay here obediently." Qianzhu put Conan down and ruffled his hair a few times, smiling like a fox.

Conan, who was temporarily sealed away, had a sullen, corgi-like face.

Unable to touch the control panel, he could only observe the suspect beside him.

The other two looked somewhat panicked, as if they had encountered a murder case, while the old curator remained calm.

The detective's keen insight made him instantly realize that something was wrong with Director Ochiai.

So calm...did they already know a murder was going to happen?

Conan mentally increased the suspicion level of Director Ochiai.

Feeling her sleeve being tugged, Qianzhu looked down at Conan with a puzzled expression, though she already knew what was going on. "What's wrong, Conan?"

Conan, the short, stout fellow, gestured for him to bend down.

Qianzhu was very cooperative.

"Brother Qianzhu, maybe that video recording contains some clues. Shall we go take a look?" Conan looked at him with hopeful eyes.

However, Qianzhu remained unmoved by either persuasion or threats. He shook his head and said, "No, how can I obstruct the police investigation?"

Although it doesn't prevent them from solving the case anyway, given their abilities.

Qianzhu thought to herself, "This is what I'm complaining about."

Seeing this, Conan quickly changed his tune, "Brother Qianzhu, actually I just noticed something was wrong, but I'm not sure. Let's take another look."

"are you sure?"

Seeing that Qianzhu looked a little confused, Conan felt that there was a chance. He nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, but I'm a little unsure, so I can't tell the officer."

Qianzhu pretended to think for a moment, then nodded, "Okay, then we'll just have to watch it again."

"Mmm!" Once is enough!

Conan is very confident in himself.

He returned to the control panel, rewound the video, and immediately pointed out the scene of Zhenzhong scribbling on the paper to those useless adults.

A confident Conan grinned and turned to look at Chizuru, his face saying: See, I told you I was right!

Qianzhu smiled affirmatively at him, then shook her head helplessly.

That kid.

Back at the crime scene, after taking out the note that Manaka was carrying, they were shocked to find the words 'Kubota' written on it.

Kubota, whose name was mentioned, immediately changed his expression and shook his head frantically, "It wasn't me! I didn't kill him!"

“Something’s not right,” said Chizuru, who was standing next to Inspector Megure and could clearly see the note.

"Hmm? Is something wrong?"

Inspector Megure turned his questioning gaze toward him, and the others looked over as well.

Qianzhu raised her hand and pointed vaguely at the marks on the note, "Look here, there are marks of scribbling and drawing on it."

"Isn't this normal?" Mori looked at the note.

Qianzhu's lips twitched slightly.

Uncle Mori, you're unreliable, and you're even more unreliable than unreliable.

The corgi, which was crawling around at the crime scene, happened to find a ballpoint pen that had fallen there.
