Chapter 365 Just wanted to chat with someone

Chapter 365 Just wanted to chat with someone

"By the way, teacher, the Sunset Mansion and the Twilight Villa you mentioned last time weren't the same place, were they?" Kaito Kuroba moved closer to R.

R turned her head to look at him, and with her other hand, she lightly tapped the side of the cup with her fingers. A few wisps of smoke rose up, and the slightly cooled black tea instantly became hot again.

"When did I say these two places were the same? They don't even have the same name." The refined young man chuckled, his tone gentle yet nonchalant.

Kaito Kuroba grinned. "Of course I guessed it myself. I thought it was another name for it."

Just as he was about to ask for more information, he caught a glimpse of a black figure appearing out of thin air in the living room.

Upon seeing X, Kaito Kuroba immediately shut his mouth and then moved closer to R.

A living vampire isn't scary, but a vampire who always wants to taste its own blood is terrifying.

He just... talked a little too much.

X glanced at Kaito Kuroba, raised an eyebrow, his blood-red eyes flashed, and a strange smile appeared on his lips. "You seem quite afraid of me, little phantom thief."

Upon hearing this, Kaito Kuroba laughed awkwardly, "It's...it's alright, I'm not...that scared, hahaha..."

"I almost believed you."

X's smile faded, and he took a diamond-shaped, blood-red gem from his pocket and handed it to R. "It's all ready, sir."

Kaito Kuroba's eyes lit up, his curiosity evident. "What's ready? What are you going to do?"

R held the gem between his thumb and forefinger, the corner of his mouth curving into an ambiguous smile. "Nothing much, I just wanted to chat with someone."

Just chatting?

Kaito Kuroba was puzzled.

Judging from your actions, it doesn't seem like you're simply inviting someone over for a chat.

The teacup in his hand disappeared, and R stood up to straighten the wrinkles in his clothes.

Kaito Kuroba jumped up and grabbed a little of his sleeve. "Take me with you, R-sensei!"

R glanced at him, raised his hand to retract the sleeve that R had been grabbing, and then reached out to grab the back of his collar and easily lifted him up.

"Let's go."

With a sudden flash of light and darkness, Kaito Kuroba opened his eyes to find himself standing high in the sky, the wind rustling the hems of his clothes, but his hair only fluttering slightly.

Kaito Kuroba ignored this situation, after all, it was magic. What he was more concerned about at the moment was that there was no solid ground under his feet, as if he would fall if he moved even a little away from R.

He looked down and saw that there was a square below them, but for some reason there was no one around.

But from their current height, if he were to fall, he would definitely be smashed into a pile of minced meat.

Kaito Kuroba suddenly shuddered, his hands frantically wrapping around R's arm as he trembled.

X, standing to the side, glanced at him with a slightly speechless expression.

After a short while, R released his grip, letting the blood-red rhombus-shaped gem fall to the ground of the plaza.

Despite the great distance, Kaito Kuroba still heard a crisp "ding~" sound.

Whoosh—

A huge magic circle suddenly lit up, and the liquid flowing outward from the center looked just like real blood.

Kaito Kuroba: ! ! ? ?

This is what you mean by "just wanting to chat with someone"?! Just chatting?!

Kaito Kuroba stared wide-eyed at the magic circle in shock.
