Chapter 389: Also a waiter at this coffee shop
The girl smiled slightly. "It's so good that you still remember me. I'm really grateful to you last time, and again this time. You saved me twice!"
"You're welcome," Behringer smiled, his eyes narrowed.
"By the way, my name is Morita Yumeko. May I ask your name?" The girl smiled, her cheeks flushed like a pink peach blossom.
"My name is Behringer, it's nice to meet you."
After the two introduced themselves, they suddenly started chatting.
The people standing nearby: "..."
With her crescent-shaped eyes, Kawasaki Machi hugged Kawasaki Maru's neck and looked at Behringer, "Brother, aren't we going to the coffee shop?"
Behrfinger blinked, looking as if he had just had a sudden realization, "Oh—sorry, sorry."
"Did I hold you up? I'm so sorry." Morita Yumeko quickly bowed, displaying the Japanese habit of bowing and apologizing at the slightest disagreement, a habit ingrained in their very being.
"It's alright, it's alright. We'll be going now, goodbye." Behefinger waved his hand, and he and Chuan Sheng turned to leave.
As Morita Yumeko watched them leave, she hesitated for a moment before calling out to Behringer, her fair face flushed. "Um, Mr. Behringer, if there's a chance next time, would it be possible to invite you for a cup of tea?"
"Hmm?" Behringer turned around in confusion, glanced at the obvious expectation on the girl's face, and nodded hesitantly. "Then...see you next time?"
"See you next time!" Yumeko Morita's face visibly lit up.
On her way to Dos Cafe, Ayumi glanced at Behringer, who was chatting with Kawasaki Maru not far ahead, and then looked back at Morita Yumeko, who was no longer in sight. A hint of excitement appeared on her face.
She tugged at Ai Haibara's sleeve and shook her arm, whispering excitedly, "Hey, Haibara-san, did that older sister just now like Behefinger?"
"Hmm?" Ai Haibara looked at her questioningly, recalling Yumeko Morita's reaction. "Perhaps?"
Although the answer was inaccurate, Ayumi still jumped up excitedly, "They look quite well-matched!"
Ai Haibara's lips twitched slightly.
I didn't quite understand.
Dos Coffee Shop.
As soon as they stepped through the door, they were greeted with a cheerful welcome.
The voice even sounded somewhat familiar.
Welcome!
"Huh—!?"
Kawasaki Machi and the others, along with Morita Yumeko, stared at each other in utter bewilderment.
Standing behind the cashier, Asa silently pulled Benshan's snake head to cover his face.
Asa: I'm holding on tight. The mental link isn't open yet, and I forgot to notify the other clones.
"So, big sister, you're a waitress at this coffee shop!" Ayumi asked in surprise, tilting her head up.
Yumeko Morita nodded shyly, "Yes, I just started working here today."
Behringer paused for a moment, then turned to look at a young man with red curly hair.
Asa met his gaze, looked away, coughed lightly, and explained in a lukewarm tone, "It's all because Behefinger is often absent from work..."
Behringer shrank back guiltily, then retorted confidently after a couple of seconds: "I wasn't absent from work, I had something to do, okay? Besides, I asked you for leave, manager."
Yumeko Morita listened in a daze, but she understood what it meant.
In other words, she and Behrfinger were both waitresses at this coffee shop.
What a coincidence!
